For many years going to get my teeth cleaned was something I dreaded and loathed but that's no longer the case at all. She is seriously so incredible that I almost fell asleep during my most recent visit. I also just had my first cavity earlier this year and had it filled by Dr. Unterbrunner. I started going to the Chicago Dental Studio about 1.5 years ago. I will be completely honest, when I first went, I had not been to the dentist since I had moved to Chicago (2.5 years), and I also did not floss - turns out I had a handful of cavities and had to get 2 crowns. Dr. Hoffman was awesome - he takes a very awesome comfortable approach with his treatment. I got noise cancelling headphones and he made sure to check in multiple times to make sure that I was comfortable. I am happy to report that after 3 more appointments, I have been cavity free! I got my invisalign done by Dr. Hoffman and he was super attentive and always made time for me to come in on my schedule. Been a patient for almost two years now. They go out of their way to make the experience as stress free as possible. They provide dark glasses so you're not squinting under the bright lights. They explain what they're going to do before they do it and keep checking in to make sure you're doing okay. I've seen three hygienists and they have all been great. When I needed a crown, Dr. Unterbrunner did a great job and they made my crown in house the same day, so I didn't have to endure multiple visits. My husband is also a very happy patient there. I hadn't been to the dentist in an embarrassingly long time and was relieved to have a positive first experience there. I had intensive dental work done last year (think several root canals, crowns and 7 fillings, and some deep cleaning to top it off) and not only has this place completely changed my attitude about dental appointments but I now have turned several of my friends on to this place. I am a new patient at the Chicago dental studio. I came in for cleaning that I anticipated would be difficult. This was the best cleaning I ever had in my entire life and it was virtually painless. Everybody at the office was so friendly and open and professional. Even after I got home and the Novocain wore off I felt no pain whatsoever. I am one of these people that really hate going to the dentist but I could learn to love the Chicago dental studio. I love the fact that they follow up and check to confirm the time and appointment and send gentle reminders via my phone to let me know when my appointment is. Surprised at all the positive reviews on the Chicago Dental Studio. My experience was rather unpleasant. I was scheduled for a dental cleaning, and everyone from the receptionist to the dentist were very rude. The dental cleaning was very painful and my cheeks were pulled so harshly, I had to stop and advise the hygienist to take it easy. Then in came the dentist who recommended a ton of dental work racking up to almost $1,000 with insurance. He rushed me through, but I had to slow him down to with all the dental jargons he was throwing at my face without bothering explaining what they meant. Needless to say, I won't be coming back here. Getting a second opinion elsewhere. Two stars only for the clean office environment. read more

Dr. Nate (the great) Hoffman is a lifesaver! I had a crown placed on my back tooth by another dental studio in the West Loop that fell out at least a half dozen times over the past year, it was a nightmare. Just my luck, the night before my vacation to Tulum the crown cracked in half and fell out again. I made an emergency appointment online at around 9 pm for the next morning with Dr. Hoffman. In just over an hour, he made an entirely new crown using digital technology and the in-office lab, and was able to complete the entire procedure in just over an hour. I left the office with a brand-new permanent crown (that fits perfectly), and more than enough time to make my flight! The front desk receptionist was also very friendly and helpful, she was able to run my insurance and provide a quote within minutes so I had an estimate before the procedure began. I have a lot of anxiety when it comes to the dentist. This was my first time going to Chicago Dental Studio after avoiding the dentist for years. This visit became literally the only positive experience I have ever had at a dentist. Rosa, the best dental hygienist ever, was so comforting and sweet. She put me at ease immediately, without me even having to voice my anxieties. Rosa was kind and conscientious, checking in with me when x-rays were painful and adjusting to make things as tolerable as possible. She chatted with me throughout the process and explained what she was doing as she went. The dentist saw me prior to my actual teeth cleaning, which sounds odd but was possibly the best option possible for me. He relieved all of my anxieties right away, rather than me having to wait and dread the possibility of cavities or other issues for the duration of the appointment. The dentist was also very friendly and efficient. I highly recommend Chicago Dental Studio and am so grateful for Rosa and having found a dentist I can trust! :) read more
