It has been a little over a year since my hardwood flooring has been renovated. This review is long past due (sorry Adam!) The floors still look great even after a year of installation on the 3rd floor of a condo building. I continue to appreciate the workmanship of the details around the walls and finishes such as transitions to the new tile installed in kitchen, fireplace, and bathrooms. These guys are great. Adam came within a day to give me a quote (which was very reasonable) to rip up old carpeting and lay luxury vinyl planks in the basement. Scheduled the work and they came and did a fantastic job in a little more than 2 days. I didn't even need to move the furniture out, they just moved it all to one side, laid the floor and then move the furniture to the completed side and then did the other side and placed everything back before they left. Did not use this company. There were excellent reviews, so I requested an in home estimate for project on Wed last week. They responded right away and asked for me to text info. I texted info on Thursday. They said they'd be out the following Wednesday. On Monday I asked what time they would come on Wednesday. No response. I texted again on Tuesday, what time Wednesday. We used chicago flooring group to refinish ~600 square feet of wood floor, strip/change the color on some wood stairs, and re-finish some engineered floor. Adam knows his stuff. When he showed up for the appointment, I was immediately impressed with how quickly he was able to ascertain what we wanted done and could figure out what the best option was. He was able to very accurately describe what he thought the hurdles might be(sanding down the dark wood stairs and refinishing them to natural color would be challenging and noticeable in the grain for instance). In the end, the price was very affordable, the work was completed on time, and most importantly all of my floors look fantastic. Will definitely use them again. read more

The two most important things when finding the right person to complete the flooring was someone who could do it within 1-2 weeks time frame and someone who could do a very good job with the flooring. Adam is the reason people use yelp, I am so ecstatic that yelp made it possible to find him. For the first time in a long time I had vacancies in my apartment building giving me the opportunity to refresh a few of my units. I have 2.25 inch maple and red oak that is probably 100 plus years old and they were skilled at taking some water stains and deep scratched out in some of my units. They also did an unbelievable job installing 3 inch in my newest rehab. Other providers were using laptops and ipads in coordination with the same laser measuring equipment Adam used but the important difference was Adam was done with my first two units before the others sent me their quotes.
