    Living Room

Checked in using the app, but didn't get a notice that the room was ready.... so was hoping to get an early check-in, came to the hotel around 3pm. I checked in with the staff at the counter and was told that rooms are still being cleaned and should be released soon. So I asked if I could use the fitness while I waited and they had no issue with that. Their gym was nice, had all the standard equipment, but more. Had free weights, leg press, etc. Got a message during the workout that the room was ready, so finished my workout and grabbed the room. The room was nice, living room was wide and open, the bedroom could been bit bigger, but it worked. The bathroom was nice as well. After a careful review of the room, here are few things that I would recommend that they upgrade - the fridge - the one in the room looked like it was from the 70s. You can tell it's old and when you open it, you'll see the age of the machine, lot of yellow spots lol. - stained cushion - there spots of stains, not sure what it was but they should replace the cover - They could add a light inside the shower, bit dark inside. - The coffee holder box - very dirty, should get rid of it. - bottled waters - I get some are free, but I always wondered how long they actually sit around in the room? - the clock - I used to have it back in the 90's lol I also saw some damage in the bedroom - the strips around the wall were falling apart. Overall, had a decent stay. The room was bit dated, they should consider renovating the place. Staff members were nice, definitely would stay here again.

Outdated, small bedroom tv that has about 15 channels.

Disgusting. Front desk employees are all very slow. One older gent was typing using ONLY his index finger. But hey! He's using two hands instead of 1. I forgot exactly what time but definitely 11pm on - they lock their front entrance doors. So, you're suppose to pick up their house phone (not sanitized and no sanitizer to be found) in HOPES someone answers but usually they don't answer and will just buzz you in. 2 nights out of 4 I had to knock hard for a lady (looked like she was confidently napping at the front desk) to wake her up so I can be buzzed in. Rooms are outdated, and has stains on their carpet. It gives me this dirty vibe. As if this housekeeping dept. don't really clean. I was itchy every single night when I'm on my bed and nicely tucked in. On the plus side - Parking is free!

We were staying here for the first time on our staycation and I have to admit, we found our NEW go to when we're staying close to home. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The workout room was large, well lit and had plenty of equipment. All in all, a great place to chill out for a weekend!

Staff is amazing. Adrianna was the best host. She answered all of our numerous questions and provided excellent advice for dining. All Covid precautions were followed. Rooms were neat and clean. Patrons were in rooms far, far apart. We were the only family on our floor. Quiet and comfortable. 11/20 only negative was that the pool was closed due to repairs, but with Covid and Chicago being in a lockdown, we would not have swum any.

Nice getaway, from the sounds of the city! My kiddos and I had such a relaxing stay. Rooms are clean, and spacious. Staff were very professional with every encounter. We didn't want to leave and booked an additional night!

If you are looking for a venue that can be customized, reasonable price and intimate, I definitely recommend trying out this space. We all had a great time and I absolutely had a perfect 30th birthday party. Thank you so much LOFT 329 for allowing me to celebrate in your beautiful space.

My bridal shower was hosted just this past weekend in Studio B. It is an absolutely stunning space. Many of my guests walked in and could not stop remarking how great the place was. It is also conveniently located right next to the Highwood Metra, so my guests who came from Chicago without a car could easily come. The space is super flexible regarding vendors and decorating. Carrie, who was our main contact, was communicative and responsive! We found Loft 329 after needing to change the venue last minute from my original one. From day one of reaching out, Carrie was quick to respond, she managed to fit my mother in for a quick tour and booking was super easy. She even went out of her way to try to help us find a rental for some tables and chairs. Definitely do not pass this space up if you're looking for an affordable, flexible and gorgeous event space!

The newly-renovated space incorporates every detail you could imagine into your event. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you're in a million dollar party. They can change the lighting to fit your theme, the audio/video system is out of this world, and the range of options through HYPE productions (incl. photo booth, dj/mc, music etc.) completely ices the cake for a perfect evening. It's hard to start describing how Loft21 is such a perfect venue, so let's start with the people. JuneElise, Loft21's event manager, is EXTREMELY helpful in guiding you along the way to a seamless event...she will answer any question you have, and deliver professional results quickly and efficiently...we did not sense this level of customer support at any other venue we shopped. Her attitude is great and you won't be disappointed. Secondly, the HYPE staff is incredibly entertaining, and our dance floor did not stop until the lights went on...they hit every corner of the music we requested and the MC, Adam, kept the party moving like a Mac truck... it was awesome, and we still get complements to this day. Jazmine, the owner, was quite involved with our planning as well, as she owns both HYPE and Loft21...so if you use both, you enjoy a discount and she was very clear on how the combined package saved us tons of cash. I could go on...so why don't I? The atmosphere is so unique and stimulating... the bars are uber-modern with an industrial feel, the staff is incredibly well trained and friendly, the globo with your event logo shines on the wall, the preferred caterer they recommended was perfect (Marcellos!), the audio video incorporation is super cool, and we wished the night never ended!! I'd say, with all the competition we shopped for our wedding, Loft21 provided the most competitive pricing for a 350 person event that we could find - they offered everything we wanted (and more), and you will be doing yourself a favor by calling them today before their calendar fills up. If you talk to JuneElise, and you have any doubts about booking with them, you have my permission to ask her for my contact info for a referral. You simply can't go wrong! Tim G.

Hence why Loft 21 is such a popular option for bar mitzvahs and other big events. If you have a 12/13 year old kid going thru the mitzvah circuit chances are you'll end up here. The venue itself is owned by Jazmine at Hype Productions. I haven't rented out Loft 21, but have hired Hype twice and been thrilled with everyone I"ve worked with over there so I"m guessing this is so exception. Jazmine is very on top of everything, which is perfect for my type A personality. While I highly recommend Hype for event production you can bring in others to the space. The bar mitzvah we attended this past weekend had Tenny from Flo as their MC. The space can easily be transformed and seems to work with any theme. And for those who don't want to go crazy with decor it's a pretty venue on it's own. They have a nice area upstairs for cocktails. People tend to congregate near the bar which can make it crowded so I recommend putting a food station (or extra bar) in the area separated off so that people spread out just a bit. This area also overlooks the ballroom so at the end of the cocktail hour they do a big reveal by showing the room down below, which is cool. The acoustics in the space aren't great and my biggest complaint is that I can't hear anyway near me while I"m there. I can also barely hear any speeches when I'm in the space. However, it works great for music, montages and anything else you need.

I bought a membership for 2 of my kids last August and decided if they came once a month it would be worth the price. After i bought it we went into a gorgeous busy fall and didn't make it back until an especially cold Chicago winter rolled in come January. My 7th grader doesn't seem to have much interest in going and when he does come with friends loses interest pretty fast so i dropped my membership for him and bought an annual membership for my 4th grader which comes with 1 free guest past each month. Today my son had 2 friends over and were getting sick of video games so I suggested we make good use of our annual membership and head here. My son was covered by the annual membership and we used a guest pass for one friend. And then I paid $30 for the other friend. It's hard to find an activity that lasts a few hours for 3 boys for $30 so well it IMO. Plus the cost of dippin dots of course. My son and his friends joined the other 200 kids jumping around this place and I wondered what type of germs they were picking up, but at least it's relatively new (aka: clean) and probably not much worse than what they pick up at school these days. They were also super excited to run into some friends from school to hang out with as well. They did say they like the Vernon Hills location better since it's a little bigger, but there's plenty of fun here and it's location is way more convenient to my house. Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage. Kintsugi treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object. The broken pieces are mended together then painted with gold, silver or platinum paint. The result is that the broken piece is now transformed and by highlighting the flaws and accepting the imperfections, this is now a completely different and beautiful object. Our workshop was taught by Takahashi, Mami, a skilled teacher from Tokyo (by Ghibli Museum she told us). All materials were provided, even the broken pottery (an advanced student brought their own broken vase). The upstairs studio was open, well-ventilated and set up with all materials laid out in an orderly fashion. I appreciated the knowledge and experience that our teacher had, as a skilled working apprentice under a Grand kintsugi Master. She walked around, demonstrating and providing hands-on instruction. As a philosophy, kintsugi is similar to wabi-sabi, an embracing of the flawed or imperfect. Maybe I can incorporate a bit of this practice myself, and accept flaws or imperfections rather than deeming something less than perfect and thus must be discarded.
