This hotel has very well decorated rooms with comfortable space. A great area for happy hour at the bar and plenty of places to hang out if you're with larger groups. I loved the space in the room. However, the sheets are so rough and scratchy it was hard to sleep. I've had better bedding at low end hotels so this was really disappointing given how upscale the hotel should be. No matter how low I turned the air down it was hot all night. Not sure if it was broke or if the Hyatt is yet another hotel that centrally controls the air and just makes you think you can adjust it.

During my 8-night stay at Regency Hotel Deerfield, I would like to give this hotel a 5-star rating for their accommodation of allowing us to bring food and drinks to the lounge, which provided us with the perfect opportunity to have a quick get-together after attending the WTMU SEMINAR. The rooms were generally clean; however, I did experience an issue where I would wake up sweating at night. Although the hotel did offer to move me to a different room, I opted not to as I wasn't inclined to go through the hassle of relocating, especially considering that the air conditioning situation Overall it was a pleasant stay, they also have pool & tiny gym for a quick stretch & treadmill.

We're just here to meet up with friends! The lobby is pretty big and very convenient from the tollway! Be careful if you're coming from the East, you might missed the entrance!

If you are looking for a venue that can be customized, reasonable price and intimate, I definitely recommend trying out this space. My bridal shower was hosted just this past weekend in Studio B. It is an absolutely stunning space. Many of my guests walked in and could not stop remarking how great the place was. It is also conveniently located right next to the Highwood Metra, so my guests who came from Chicago without a car could easily come. The space is super flexible regarding vendors and decorating. Carrie, who was our main contact, was communicative and responsive! We found Loft 329 after needing to change the venue last minute from my original one. From day one of reaching out, Carrie was quick to respond, she managed to fit my mother in for a quick tour and booking was super easy. She even went out of her way to try to help us find a rental for some tables and chairs. Definitely do not pass this space up if you're looking for an affordable, flexible and gorgeous event space!

The newly-renovated space incorporates every detail you could imagine into your event. From the moment you walk in, you feel like you're in a million dollar party. They can change the lighting to fit your theme, the audio/video system is out of this world, and the range of options through HYPE productions (incl. photo booth, dj/mc, music etc.) completely ices the cake for a perfect evening. It's hard to start describing how Loft21 is such a perfect venue, so let's start with the people. JuneElise, Loft21's event manager, is EXTREMELY helpful in guiding you along the way to a seamless event...she will answer any question you have, and deliver professional results quickly and efficiently...we did not sense this level of customer support at any other venue we shopped. Her attitude is great and you won't be disappointed. Secondly, the HYPE staff is incredibly entertaining, and our dance floor did not stop until the lights went on...they hit every corner of the music we requested and the MC, Adam, kept the party moving like a Mac truck... it was awesome, and we still get complements to this day. Jazmine, the owner, was quite involved with our planning as well, as she owns both HYPE and Loft21...so if you use both, you enjoy a discount and she was very clear on how the combined package saved us tons of cash. I could go on...so why don't I? The atmosphere is so unique and stimulating... the bars are uber-modern with an industrial feel, the staff is incredibly well trained and friendly, the globo with your event logo shines on the wall, the preferred caterer they recommended was perfect (Marcellos!), the audio video incorporation is super cool, and we wished the night never ended!! I'd say, with all the competition we shopped for our wedding, Loft21 provided the most competitive pricing for a 350 person event that we could find - they offered everything we wanted (and more), and you will be doing yourself a favor by calling them today before their calendar fills up. If you talk to JuneElise, and you have any doubts about booking with them, you have my permission to ask her for my contact info for a referral. You simply can't go wrong! Tim G.

Miraculously no one was hit by it or cut by the glass. Given it probably weighed over 50 pounds, it would've probably killed somebody if they were in it's path. What did management do? Looked at the ceiling for 15 minutes and then let everyone go back to dancing under the other 6 lights possibly (un)secured by the same individual..... poorly handled. Our family stayed out of that area completely for the evening. That pretty much overshadowed our memories of the event.....

I bought a membership for 2 of my kids last August and decided if they came once a month it would be worth the price. After i bought it we went into a gorgeous busy fall and didn't make it back until an especially cold Chicago winter rolled in come January. My 7th grader doesn't seem to have much interest in going and when he does come with friends loses interest pretty fast so i dropped my membership for him and bought an annual membership for my 4th grader which comes with 1 free guest past each month. Today my son had 2 friends over and were getting sick of video games so I suggested we make good use of our annual membership and head here. My son was covered by the annual membership and we used a guest pass for one friend. And then I paid $30 for the other friend. It's hard to find an activity that lasts a few hours for 3 boys for $30 so well it IMO. Plus the cost of dippin dots of course. My son and his friends joined the other 200 kids jumping around this place and I wondered what type of germs they were picking up, but at least it's relatively new (aka: clean) and probably not much worse than what they pick up at school these days. They were also super excited to run into some friends from school to hang out with as well. They did say they like the Vernon Hills location better since it's a little bigger, but there's plenty of fun here and it's location is way more convenient to my house. Meanwhile, i got plenty of work done at one of their works desks so it was a win win for all!

Kintsugi is the Japanese art of repairing broken pottery by mending the areas of breakage. Kintsugi treats breakage and repair as part of the history of an object. The broken pieces are mended together then painted with gold, silver or platinum paint. The result is that the broken piece is now transformed and by highlighting the flaws and accepting the imperfections, this is now a completely different and beautiful object. Our workshop was taught by Takahashi, Mami, a skilled teacher from Tokyo (by Ghibli Museum she told us). All materials were provided, even the broken pottery (an advanced student brought their own broken vase). The upstairs studio was open, well-ventilated and set up with all materials laid out in an orderly fashion. I appreciated the knowledge and experience that our teacher had, as a skilled working apprentice under a Grand kintsugi Master. She walked around, demonstrating and providing hands-on instruction. As a philosophy, kintsugi is similar to wabi-sabi, an embracing of the flawed or imperfect. Maybe I can incorporate a bit of this practice myself, and accept flaws or imperfections rather than deeming something less than perfect and thus must be discarded.
