On top of that I decided our old window treatments weren't quite right for our new gorgeous bathroom so reached out to my trust decorator for recommendations. She said she's had nothing, but great experiences with Gotcha Covered...and looks like (based on the stellar reviews) that many yelpers agree. I called last Monday and found time on a Saturday morning for a sales rep (Jay) to stop by. Saturdays are ideal for my work schedule, although when he stopped by at 10am I had 3 kids I had to kick out of their rooms (especially the teenager) so he walked into a bit of craziness, but didn't seem bothered by it. Within an hour we chose hunter douglas room darkening shades for my kids rooms, as well as a custom made silhouette window shade for our bathroom. My decorator facetimed to help us pick a color and fabric for the window, which ended up being a quick 5 min call. We were able to match all the shades to the existing trim in all the rooms and then Jay was off. Jay promised a quote by Monday, but delivered it Saturday afternoon. While pricey it ended up being much less than I expected (also included a designer referral discount) and I"m really happy with everything we ordered. I did think about shopping around, but decided to just go with Gotcha Covered based on the stellar reviews, great service from Jay and the price seemed fair (even chatgpt agreed :)). They required a 50% deposit to place the order and promised to deliver/install in 4-6 weeks. I'll update my review after installation, but I'm happy so far!

I have used the shade store previously and Skyline was so much more personable and friendly and it felt like I was supporting more of the small business! The President of the company even came out during the install, Nina, who was lovely and warm and we talked about our similar aged kids. The installer Ado, was also professional and highly qualified and made some adjustments to make sure everything was done top notch. Their showroom was very helpful because we could go there and see various options in person and view how the automation alternatives actually worked. Their in-home visit enabled us to choose materials and colors right in the environment where the blinds would be installed. We choose automated blinds that change position relative to the sunrise and sunset so that we have the perfect combination of light and privacy in our family room with window walls on three sides. We can also control our blinds with Amazon's Alexa or Apple's Siri. This shows the kind of experience that we appreciate. We are so glad to hear that they have relocated to Wilmette, closer to us. Some would not tell me the brand the flooring was. Some just did not know their products. It was all so frustrating. Then along came Charles. My knight in shiny armor. He is sincere, honest and truly cares about your needs. He lets you know if there is a delay or a problem. I felt that I was in good hands. He told me all I needed for the floor. The supplier he deals with is top notch. Then came delivery/installation. I was immediately was put at ease with the worker he sent. I wanted to keep him. He did a nice job installing the floor. As soon as there was a little dust or mess there he was with his broom and vacuum. I love my floor. I did not even have to get use to it. My old floor was dark and this one was quite lighter.
