The prior owners had a lot of stickers on the ceiling of a child's room and after the guys were done you wouldn't have know. The completely made the ceiling smooth. They finished in about a half day and cleaned everything up. I hired Chuck again to about a month later to finish the living room and hall. One gentleman came and finished the job in a few hours. Very disappointed. At first I was very impressed with the work this computer did in painting my condo. I let a few things slide (cracked outlet plates, a shower rod I had to replace because the crew lost a part, and a scratch in my floor that Chuck was supposed to fix afterwards but didn't) because the job looked great...at first. But now, I have two cracks in my wall, that I was assured would be fixed properly, that have reappeared (same spots, same cracks) within less than 4 months after the job. I also have nail dents in the ceiling again in a spot. The response that I got was that these were stress cracks and walking on the roof may cause them again and that rain on a completely separated section of the roof, walled off from these spots was to blame. As a client on the top floor of a condo building in which the roof needs to be accessed from time to time (hvac service, dryer vent cleaning, roof inspection, etc), this seems like a poor excuse since that's the job. I think if the crew had used crack tape and not just plaster on the cracks, I wouldn't be in the position of having to re-do sections of the job less than 6 months later. This was a big financial investment/costly job for me. read more

These guys were great! The whole crew (7 guys) showed up wearing their painters' whites and they were right on time, in fact a bit early. We had them paint several walls and doorways in our store...the big trick was taking care of existing wall hangings and merchandise while taking out the old vinyl wall graphics, repairing drywall, sanding, and finally priming/painting! The covered everything in plastic, masked off the fixtures and cleaned up nearly every scrap of dust once they finished! They were scheduled for about 8 hours each night, for the next two nights...we really needed them to do it in less time...if possible. The crew boss, Chuck, responded to our request quite professionally and brought in as many guys as he had available. The crew was polite, respectful of property and took time to make sure the extra coats of paint were looking perfect before they called it a night. We did a walk-thru at the beginning and end of the job to make sure it was all done correctly. I was very pleased with the expert level of workmanship the entire crew displayed. Chuck is a very straightforward and approachable guy. Him and his crew were professional, polite, and super efficient. They painted all the interior walls of our 3-story house in a little less than 8 hours, as promised. They were able to cater to some of our more customized requests such as painted ceilings, accent walls, and even two-toned walls and did such an amazing job, I was elated. Northside Painting completed a large interior job for us yesterday. Chuck and his Team did a wonderful job! Our entryway has 20' ceilings, along with stairs to work around, so this was not an easy job. Chuck gave me a start date back in May and stuck to it. He checked in several times since May to keep me updated on timing. He brought a large crew of 8 and completed the entire job in one day, including lots of wall and ceiling patching. They kept the place clean, covered everything to protect from paint splatters, moved all furniture and even removed/replaced switch plates and wall hangings. When done, Chuck walked around and inspected everything with me, fixing a couple of small issues before he allowed his crew to leave the site. This review is way over due! Last year about month after I moved into my new condo the upstairs neighbors tub started leaking in through my bathroom ceiling. To put it simply I contacted Northside for a quote and ended up hiring them for the job to replace the drywall that was cut out of my bathrooms ceiling for repairs. Chuck sent one of his guys over within a day or two after everything was confirmed. Now the best part, I was in the middle of painting my bathroom walls when all of this happened and only had a little bit to finish over my tub near the ceiling where the water leak work had been done. (I had stopped painting until all of the repairs were finished.) The guy who came to repair the ceilings drywall was nice enough to finish the painting I had to do too! Didn't even ask he just was nice enough to do it since the paint and everything was already there. Not only did they do an excellent job painting my cabinets, but they also drilled holes and installed all of my new cabinet hardware for me. AND when I asked on the day-of they gladly and easily touched up a couple spots around the window where water had gotten inside and cracked the paint on the window trim and the wall. I just had our condo painted yesterday by Northside Painting and Decorating. The team did a great job and Chuck was great to work with. He helped suggest colors and finishes and also helped me decide on low VOC paint. They arrived right on time at 7:30am and were done by 2:30pm - every room except the bathrooms and closets were painted, so I thought that was a speedy and efficient job. Any holes from paintings were patched and painted over. They moved our furniture and even put it back in place. It was nice to not have to lift anything! I had gotten four other quotes and Northside was right in the middle. I would definitely use Northside. They give you the right price for the job and do the work they say they'll do.
