But on a Saturday at 1030 am and the bathroom was locked. That is super annoying. The parking lots also say 3 hour parking, but I did not double check if that was 7 days a week or not. Nice views of the ocean, tug boats, the bridge, etc.

I was able to sit, relax, and get some reading in without any distractions. There's a senior living spot across the street, so you'll see some of the residents hanging out, playing games, and enjoying the space too, which honestly adds a really nice, community feel. The park itself is well-kept and clean, which always makes a difference. There's plenty of seating, and on a good day you'll catch a nice breeze with enough shade to stay comfortable. I also noticed a small skating area, which is a cool touch if you're into that. Parking can be a little limited since the lot is on the smaller side, but there's also street parking nearby, so it's manageable. If you're into running or just want a quick workout, they even have bleachers you can run up and down. Overall, it's a quiet, easygoing spot that's perfect for relaxing, reading, or just enjoying some fresh air.

There were lots of people out, but not crowded. There were people having a picnic outside in the grass area on a blanket. Plenty of people biking and jogging. The rest was on their boat or kayak. There are picnic tables all around. There's a public restroom as well. Their hours of operation is from 4am and closing at 10pm. There's fire rings for bonfires. Sandy beach area if you want to build a sandcastle!! Please be mindful that there is NO LIFEGUARD on duty. Watch your kids. Overall, a nice place to relax and enjoy the water. A great place for a lunch break!! The breeze was so nice that I wished I had a book to read after my walk!!!

On a sunny Saturday morning, the boat ramp was not busy. Vs Dana Landing which has boats coming in and out all day. 2. There is tons of parking, and multiple bathrooms along the paths. 3. Lots of grass, picnic tables, and sand for kiddos to play in. But you cannot swim here! The bathrooms were cleaner than the ones at Dana Landing, but I do have one gripe. OK, two. In the women's bathroom, the stall doors barely clear the toilet, so you have to stand between the toilet and toilet paper holder to open/close the door. And all women flush with their foot (at least all my friends do), and the handle is probably 4 feet off the ground. I could flush with my foot, but it was difficult. My vertically challenged friends would not. We walked around the whole island, and there are a few places you have to follow signs, because the path goes through an outdoor restaurant and through a hotel. But it was a nice stroll and I would highly recommend checking this park out.

Along with the two most popular attractions here, you're also directly across from the USS MIDWAY, and all along here are other statues and historical sites. This is such a magical spot and a place i'd highly recommend anyone to come by, this park also connects to Seaport Village, another spot along the edges. This is one of of favorite places to walk around and spend my time with on a weekday. I decided to bring my boyfriend here and we loved looking at the gigantic statue and all the small shops and vendors. I'd highly recommend stopping here and taking a tour with the ships, or the boats!

I wore my standby favorite 2024 San Diego Padres Filipino Heritage jersey. I remember when Petco Park was still in their construction phase and our group was given a private tour. In the Air Force, we had a nonprofit group, The Top Three, which raised funds for morale, etc for our squadron. We had contracts with other venues to do volunteer work in their concession stands and reap 10% of total sales. Needless to say, we were able to raise a great deal of funds for the unit. We were hoping to broker a similar agreement with Petco Park. Since its official opening wasn't until 2004, our unit members willing to volunteer decreased so we never worked Petco's concession stands. I do recall that they had state of the art beverage delivery systems. I had gone to a company event at Petco in 2005. My mom & dad were able to go and were just so excited. My dad proudly wore his Padres baseball cap, t-shirt, and was ready to cheer on his favorite team. My mom said he could barely sleep the night before! It is such a fantastic and well structured stadium. Having the trolley nearby is so convenient and this stadium is such a great addition to downtown. The seats are comfortable and the electronic displays and screens make it easy for visual reference & entertaining. It's truly a great home base for the San Diego Padres.

I'd fully recommend trolleying here, we parked our cars from Little Italy and made our way down in about 10 minutes. The area itself, since it is downtown has a bigger popular for homeless people. My boyfriend took me here to see a game, tickets online were ranging from $40-$80. We got pretty good seats for the cheapest. The vibes were great, people wearing their padres gear, and there were multiple food and drink vendors available as well. Highly recommend booking a ticket for the Padres Game, it's something you can't miss if you're in San Diego and enjoy baseball!
