Went for the first time last year for someone going away party...food was banging. I ordered breakfast sometime last month as well...this restaurant surprises my taste buds every time!

Stopped in one Friday evening for date night, was not disappointed. The menu offers a fusion of brunch and dinner options for whatever your craving may be! I personally love this as I am a fan of protein options and love a good breakfast for dinner! The vibe is 100% chicano, full of sick pictures of low riders, a few murals and hanging plants setting the vibe. The staff seem to love their jobs as much as we loved the food. Food comes out fast, hot, and delish. I HIGHLY recommend the raspberry margarita if that's your drink. The flavor profile is delightful and fresh, far from sugary and fake like others in the area. We also got different tacos and a cheeto hot dog. Delish. Def our default date night spot. Me encanta!!

Such a great spot with good food, tasty drinks and really fun vibes! We came in on a Wednesday night for a girls' Galentine's dinner and the restaurant was beautifully decorated. There's a decent sized bar and lots of seating all over. I had a mojito from their Valentine's Day drink specials and a house strawberry Margarita - both were generous sizes and tasted amazing. I also ordered the Chicano bowl and it was also really good. I already can't wait to come back for more.

Stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. Here is what we liked: * Immediate seating , with low top, high top and seats at the bar. * Chips and queso was good. *While the waiter was a Cowboys fan, he was absolutely genuine. Seemed like a cool guy. *The vibe for this place is cool, not your typical Mexican joint. * The breakfast Burrito was big and said it tasted good. Here's what could have been better. * Sorry, but bring some chips and salsa. A Mexican restaurant will always get makes if they don't . Heck, even our local place brings them but for a small fee. * The margarita was just eh. I love a good margarita, this wasn't it. * No sides, no beans or rice with your entrees? * The queso birria tacos were just lame. Didn't have much flavor and the queso was nowhere to be found. Just underwhelmed. Overall for the price, I didn't find it to be a place that was impressive.

The Chilaquiles Verdes had no business being this good lol

We went for lunch on a random Monday, so the vibes were very chill. Everyone was friendly and the food was delicious. Will be going back again!

So far I've only ordered tak out from this restaurant but it was incredible! The flavors brought me back to california. I can't wait to go in and sit down to eat, I'm sure that I will be even more impressed! Delicious, must try mexican establishment in NC!

We ordered the birria bowl, birria appetizer roll, and the jailhouse burrito. The jailhouse burrito was mid. The steak in it was basically just fatty pieces that I had to spit out. My husbands birria bowl, he said it lacked salt. The birria roll was good!

This establishment opened October of 2024. For a restaurant that plans on being open on major holidays or events , they did not plan or coordinate well. For Mother's Day 2025 they did not have enough staff to service their dining room , tables wait uncleaned for 10-15 min after customers paid their bill and left. They did not have a greeter to take your parties information , it was whatever waiter was available which led to parties being told different wait times. On party was told 20 minutes for them to be seated but that was an 1 hour ago. I under stand holidays and special occasion days get busy, but this is where the manager or assistant manger need to be present on the floor and the staff have clear and defined roles on what they are expected to do to have a good services for both the employees and customers. Watched tables get cleaned at 11:45 no one was seat for a while and the host/ hostess was calling names from his list that were no longer here , was not organized or had control of the floor. Servers bouncing between serving food and playing bartender. No clear , defined roles and responsibilities for the staff.

I am obsessed with this restaurant. It is so clean and inviting. The server and hostess were very polite and friendly. Our server was friendly and very personable. We didn't catch his name but he was the only male server on 3/8/25 @ 12pm! He made sure our table did not need for anything. My son and I had the Noel's Burrito, it reminded me of a Cali Burrito, that burrito was AMAZING! My husband had the Cholo Burger and he demolished that. My daughter had the Grandmas Tacos, she loved it. My youngest son had the Cheeseburger and fries and he loved that as well. We took home the Churro Bites (Get the Mexican Caramel with this) and Churro Cheesecake. This is going to be our new favorite spot! I loved the environment, food and service. If you are in the Jacksonville, NC area, please go here!!! It's amazing!

I've been wanting to try Chicano Street Kitchen for a while and with my bestie in town, today was the perfect day! The waitress was friendly and attentive, the decor was fun and inviting, especially the murals. I was conflicted whether breakfast or dinner was the way to go, but I chose breakfast and I am so glad I did!! I ordered the Cajeta pancakes because their waffle maker was on the Fritz, and I had a hankering for something sweet. The bananas on the pancakes were fresh and not the least bit brown, the Mexican caramel was literally the best caramel I've ever had, and the pancakes! OMG!! They were griddled and crispy and with all the flavors from the toppings on the pancake was next level, not too sweet and paired with the crispy bacon and over medium eggs, the perfect plate of goodness. I'll definitely be back for some birria soon!! Or more pancakes!! Or just more of everything on the menu!!

Great Saturday morning breakfast and coffee. Huevos Rancheros was so delicious! Rice and beans were spot on and added to the dish! Great coffee to top it all off.

Best friggin Mexican food I have had in my life no joke. 21 years living in MA and going different places. Literally the best I've had.

Everything--from the atmosphere to the execution--is top tier. But what really sets you apart is your attention to detail and genuine care for your customers. Our waitress tonight, Kaila, was absolutely phenomenal. She picked up on something most people would overlook--I don't use straws--and brought my drink without one, without me even having to ask. That may seem small to some, but to me, that level of awareness and intentional service speaks volumes. It's those little things that create unforgettable experiences and separate good businesses from truly great ones. Kaila absolutely crushed it tonight, and it's clear your team is operating at a very high level. Keep doing what you're doing--you've built something special.

I could taste no blackening seasoning and the portion of meat in the pasta was incredible light. A colleague had the shrimp and grits and he said they were really good. My third colleague had the weekly special - pesto ziti. He said the meatballs were good, but the rest of the dish lacked flavor. The inside of the restaurant is divided into two with a large bar / lounge area that looked inviting. The dining side was comfortable, but dated. I would absolutely give them another try next time I'm in Jacksonville.

We enjoy coming here on Wednesday nights to play trivia with friends that is hosted by Meeser Eddie. My favorite drink to sip on when coming here is probably the spicy margarita. Located in a relatively convenient spot from anywhere in the Jacksonville area, the restaurant has lots of room for customers, and so I've often found a table even in some of the traditionally busier times of day. The food and the service are always reliably great. Omelets, pancakes, French toast, and even hash browns (which, in most other diners, along with their fellow traveler in undesirability, grits, are best avoided), are far better than most other diners. A lot of thought, care, and, presumably, serious on-the-job training must go into the food. The efficiency and dependably rigorous quality are not surprising in a military town. If you're visiting from elsewhere, you will be humbled by the atmosphere, at certain times, when the young service members are having meaningful, hushed meals with their beloveds. Thinking of the hard work, brutal training, and potential life-threatening danger that such absurdly young looking people are enduring will make your worries about mice in the garage, smudged eyeglasses, and forgetting your travel pillow feel awfully insignificant and trivial. Unless you're a fleshly flaneur like me, in which case, a travel pillow and a heating blanket, are still pretty nice. Service is fast and just the right amount of attentive and friendly. On my most recent visit, Elaina was particular kind and efficient.

I asked our very helpful and sweet server Jersey if she had only 2 choices with one being chicken fried chicken or the daily special Taco Salad, which would she go with and she said the taco salad. So, that's what I ordered. It was very tasty, loaded with 2 types of cheese a side of Jalapeño (which I gave to hubby) alot of fresh tomatoes and lettuce, a side of salsa and sour cream served in a somewhat crispy tortilla shell. And the shell is the only reason for a 4 star vs 5, the shell wasn't as light and crispy as I like it. It tasted as if they fried it several hours ago and honestly, I get why they did it that way as it saves time but the shell just left me disappointed. Hubby ordered a patty melt with fries. We came into town to scope out the Jacksonville Landing for future bass fishing mornings and when I told him we were stopping in here for lunch he already knew he was having the melt. I mean, he thought about it for 90 minutes lol. I've had their melts before and it is yummy. I think though the fries were the star on his plate. They were crispy on the outside and pillowy on the inside and topped with something akin to Old Bay Seasoning. And they were HOT! Y'all, i mean, they're only fries but rhey were PERFECT! I am seriously alreasy looking forward to our 1st fishing adventure just so we can have lunch at the Kettle once we've caught all the bass. Jersey was quite attentive, but not hovering and warm friendly like only you'll find in the south. Oh, bestie told me to get the chocolate torte because she said, literally, "it's life altering." However, I forgot to so, just another thing for me to enjoy after our initial fishing trip. In some ways, you can go home again.
