    Hibiscus lemonade was tasty

The patio is really cute. Definitely perfect for a nice day. The inside has three booths with three high tops. The staff seemed friendly. There's quite a selection of beverages. Even if you're not looking for coffee, they have chai, matcha and lemonade drinks. I tried the LBC (hibiscus lemonade) which was delicious. The iced chai was also good. Unfortunately the waffle machine was broken so we couldn't order one of those. There were several flavors of muffins but they were kind of dry. The chocolate chip one was pretty sparse on chips. Bathroom was clean and the drive up window is convenient. Parking was plenty. Cute cozy spot.

Fun lil shop on the corner. Very clean. Polite and customer friendly staff. Great tasting coffee - house brew! Will come back for specialty drinks and food options. Indoor and outdoor seating options. Dog friendly!

    Hot Peppermint Mocha Latte

I can't believe I've been missing out on this gem in downtown Jacksonville! If you wanna grab a hot latte with a breakfast sandwich on a cold morning, the Lil Bean Cafe does not disappoint! I've been there twice in the past month the first time grabbing a hot Peppermint Mocha Latte and a Bacon Egg & Cheese croissant, and today snagging a hot Peppermint White Mocha Latte and a Ham Egg & Cheese croissant. Both visits the latte wasn't overly sweet and was steaming hot, the perfect pick me up on a winter morning. But the breakfast croissants were the star of the show, the whole fried eggs were seasoned to perfection and the croissants were soft and buttery. As you can tell I was so busy gobbling down the croissant that I forgot to take a pic until it was almost gone! Definitely give this place a try if you want a real breakfast sandwich!

The food was great and fast. Relatively clean space. The service is kind and again fast. Perfect morning stop. They do call in orders as well. The have an extensive coffee flavor menu as well!

Not on the menu, made exactly how it's suppose to.

I come here for the Vietnamese iced coffee, no where else do they get it right. Nice limited selection of pastries, so once they are gone they are gone. Sandwiches are all very good, unfortunately by the time I get here their breakfast selection is no longer offered. Place is very small just cozy, the inside fills up quickly so if you have a large party you will have to sit outside. They have a drive through option but I've yet to use it.

Very festive and delicious Halloween drink special

My daughter is very fond of their bagels. I typically get the Mexican (chorizo) burrito, and nice cup of joe. This place never disappoints

She really made the experience. They have a white chocolate raspberry specialty drink we absolutely fell in love with. We also got the mazapan latte which was delicious. They have chess there to play while you enjoy your coffee and plants that make it feel homey. They even have coffee and refreshers premade and ready to go! We are familiar with Cuban coffee from having it up north and in Miami. We had Cafe Bombón, tres leches cake, guava pastry and lemon cake. The cafecito cubano was good and the Cafe Bombón was good. The only thing we thought would have been better is to serve the Cafe Bombom in a glass cup/glass. Presentation sometimes is important and serving it in a plastic cup kinda takes away from it. The tres leche cake was good, the guava pastry was not. Lacked the filling and then it was wrapped in plastic so the humidity made it most. These guava pastries are meant to be flaky and with more guava. The service was good and staff were nice. May come back for coffee.

A great perk for this place is free street parking right in front. The front entrance is in an old strip mall. The inside is well done. Plenty of seating throughout. There's a nice lounging area, outdoor seating, high top tables, large standard tables and a bar area. They have a fairly simple menu, but plenty of variety. They do offer alcohol, THC beverages, sodas, smoothies, and of course coffee. After a few minutes of looking over the menu we ordered a coupe of the artisan sandwiches, a couple coffees, and a slice of coconut cream cake! You order at the kiosk and they bring your food & beverages to you. After a nice wait (not too fast or long), our americano, latte, waters, The Rad sandwich, The Chrissy sandwich, with our sides of pasta and potato salad. The sandwiches were honestly the perfect size for us. Both sandwiches were great and the coffee was good. Initially I requested a red eye, but they were out of drip coffee. Not a big deal, the americano was good. The coconut cream cake was huge and delicious! Not sure, but I tasted a hint of amaretto, vanilla, and coconut. Delicious! Went well with the coffee! Although the cost was a little high, the quality of service, food and atmosphere compensated. We will definitely eat here again. Recommend giving Bistro 1940 a try.

Good food, kind of hipster vibe, a little overpriced…read more We like trying new places and support local businesses over chains when we can. This has the vibe of little bistro coffee shops we find in many large cities with a limited menu and lots of coffee options. They had both a soda fountain and bottled/caned soft drinks. However, neither the fountain nor the cans and bottle had any ZERO products. I ordered a Mikey, an Italian style heated sandwich on an Italian style roll. The bread was good and everything on it was tasty. It was a good sandwich. But for the price I could have had a much larger sandwich at Jersey Mike's wing more meats and veggies. It always seems that places trying to be cool skimp on odd things. Like lettuce is cheap but there was very little on the sandwich. My wife had a turkey sandwich on ciabata bread. She liked her sandwich too. We both got potato salad which was good but bit heavy on the pins for my wife. It was fine for me but I wanted pepper and I could not see any easily accessible and didn't feel like asking for it (that's on me). Our bill with a modest tip for two sandwiches, potato salad sides that were included a fountain drink and a mango slurp (they called it a smoothie but it wasn't) was $45.00. That's just too much for a simple lunch, at least for us.
