I've tried the Nancy sandwich and the open face tuna . Both were perfect and I haven't been able to order anything else . Xhoc8chip cookies were almost as good as my mother's but ... I had one visit where the service was terrible im not get into details but a hot drink was spilled and the young male server didn't care and the manger whom inasked to replace my 7 dollar late was pissed off that she had to remake the drink . Went Friday around noon with my mom, we decided to eat there. Ordering was easy and the guy behind the counter was able to answer my mom's questions. Loved their small coffee shop feel and the mismatch seating. It gave the place character. We ended up sitting in the window and loved looking out if it. We did have to wait a bit for our food as there was an issue with staffing. That didn't bother us as we didn't have any time constraints. The staff was very apologetic about our wait time. I ordered their Lizzie Diablo, Cajun Turkey and Carolina Reaper with hot banana peppers and Spicy Ranch. Pressed on white bread. It was spicy and I loved it. Such a good sandwich. A great option for a sandwich shop in Washington! It gives that classic deli vibe which is hard to find in western PA. I LOVE the italian grilled cheese they offer before St Pattys day- wish they had it all year!! Salads are great as well, love the Bollywood and the Incredible salad. They also have rolls; I love the roast beef ones but didn't really like the classic pepperoni roll. Surprisingly Ive never had breakfast here. I ate here so often during my last year of college! Their cannolis are good but are a bit pricey- $5 each. I wasn't particularly a fan of the cookies or the quiche, but the biscottis here are delicious. I love Chicco Baccello. It's definitely one of my favorite coffee shops to go to. I have tried a few different coffees from them and not one of them has ever let me down. My favorite is the s'mores iced latte with oat milk. It has just the right amount of sweetness. They offer a variety of different flavor combos for your coffee with very cute names. Their breakfast foods are also very good. My favorite is the little monkey bread muffin in the attached picture. It is so sweet and delicious! I hear really great things about their lunch menu, but I have yet to try it. The staff there is always friendly and very quick with making the drinks. I feel like this Chicco Baccello is pretty large for a coffee shop. Which is good because you shouldn't have to worry about finding a seat. I panicked and ordered a blueberry muffin and was pleasantly surprised that it was still warm because it was freshly baked that morning. It was amazing. Stopped by this place based upon the reviews. I love supporting local vendors and trying to new places. I am a total coffee and dessert snob. Well okay, a total foodie. Initially when I pulled up, it was easy to find parking and the outside was cute while the inside decor was cute. I was greeted when I came in by several people. Although when I inquired with the gal behind the counter and the guy behind the deli about the biscuits and gravy they said they ran out. I jokingly said well that means I would I have to come back. The guy interjected and said we won't have them when you come back. Which I thought was a bit odd. Anyways, I continued to order a few different cookies and some sort of pull apart dessert for my mom. The girl was not careful and threw them in the container on top of one another smooshing the frosting on top. Which was disappointing. Who does that to someone? I even told her I was getting them for my mom. Then I inquired about a few different beverage options. Al of which are apparently brought in from a local coffee distributor down the street. So, I was sad to learn they don't source their own beans, roast them, etc. However I still wanted to give them a try. Also if anyone was wondering about their Chai. It isn't fresh. It is a concentrate. I opted for just their hot coffee. I prefer a dark roast but they didn't have that. So I tried some Pecan Roast. It did smell good but that was about it. The coffee itself tasted burnt. Ugh. So that money went down the drain. I tasted the sugar cookies which was delicious. I wasn't a fan of the pumpkin cookie. Oh well! Not impressed with what they had to offer. I chose to try this place out because it was the only thing decently rated that was open and nearby. I arrived at 8:20am, there opening hour is either 6, or 6:30am but when I got there the doors were locked. Called them so that they could open the door for me. I checked out their deli menu & the only thing I could really eat was their Nancy sandwich or something because it has Tuna and I love Tuna. The rest didn't seem like healthier prospects so I opted for the Nancy, when I ordered it, the guy that was taking my order said they're out of Tuna. Well, there goes my breakfast! I was then deciding whether or not to choose another sandwich and just remove the meat, but the veggies/everything else listed in the sandwiches just didn't sound appealing alone so I went next door to their attached coffee shop to check out what they had. I walked up the step and the first thing I saw were mason jars of tea leaves and so I opened some of them to smell them and read what kind they were. When I turned around I was surprised to see a girl behind the counter. She just looked at me, so I said hello, good morning, and turned back around to read more about the teas. I then decided to check out their coffee menu which has what basically every other coffee shop has to offer, so I ordered what I normally get, a Nutella Latte, which seems to be a popular items everywhere I go. I spent the past 10 years living in Los Angeles, always in search of the perfect cafe, so I was delighted to find Chicco Bacello after only being in the Washington area for a week! I've already been here twice for lunch, and both times were delightful. The ambience is perfect for getting some work done, or chatting with friends, or just sitting and enjoying a quiet cup of tea. Everyone is super friendly, and everything that's crossed my lips so far has been delicious. Pepperoni roll, tuna sandwich ("The Nancy"), lemon cake, ginger cookies...I'm looking for a place to live in the area and I might just see if I can take up residence on one of their couches. There are a nice selection of sandwiches, which can also be made into salads. We also love the pepperoni rolls and almond cookies, both of them tend to sell out right at the lunch rush. Little bakery/deli right on the main street in Washington. We got there a little late but I did expect that there would be a little more to pick from. Tiny and cute, welcoming. The chocolate chip cookies stole the show. Loads of chocolate chips inside, an all around yummy cookie! Also got the lemon crunch muffin and it was overdone and dry the hubby got cinnamon coffee cake which he has not yet tried. They would get 4 for the cookies but because I was disappointed with the muffin it dropped my rating. I wouldn't go out of my way to come back but I would certainly stop again for the cookies. read more
