My mom surprised my youngest and I with takeout! She ordered the Lemon Butter Ahi Ahi, Pork Belly Carapulcra and a side of Jasmine Rice. My mom and baby loved everything and I would definitely return for their drool-worthy ahi ahi! Nice presentation and my mom said customer service was amazing! SYOY! :-)

The restaurant was beautiful decorated. We tried the Yucca and the plantains, the sauces were so flavorful. The ceviche experience was delicious and refreshing. The service was fast and the server was friendly. I will be coming back.

I ordered the chicken pachamanquero which was good; the dishes here pack a punch of flavor. It was great to try Peruvian food for the first time here. The service was friendly and there was lots of seating.

Food was amazing! Pricey but good experience for a Peruvian touch. Beef stew great. Pollo saltado great! Ceviche platter was delicious although very filling. Vibes good and food good

A Window to Peru, Right in Our Neighborhood This unassuming Peruvian gem isn't just a restaurant--it's a passport stamp in disguise. This might be my new favorite Peruvian spot in Roseville! I can totally see this place getting super popular soon. My friends and I came in on a Thursday around 5 pm and the place was empty, so we got seated immediately. It was decorated beautifully and the ambiance was nice and casual. For drinks, we tried the house sangria, chicha morada, and mango lemonade--solid choices to kick things off. Since it was still happy hour, we couldn't resist ordering some apps: chicharrón de pollo, yucas a la huancaína, and an empanada. I was expecting the chicharrón to be like pork rinds, but nope--this was even better! The sauces that came with the apps were also on point. For mains, we went with the ceviche trio and lomo saltado. Heads up: the lomo saltado portion is HUGE--definitely enough for two people to share. The ceviche trio was also tasty, with three different styles. Honestly, the flavor differences were subtle (besides one being a little more lime-forward and the seafood variety), but still super fresh and delicious. We ended on a sweet note with their Peruvian bread pudding topped with vanilla ice cream--just the right amount of sweetness to wrap things up. Overall, I loved everything about this meal, and I'll absolutely be back. Next time, I'm planning to hit their Sunday brunch buffet... I heard there's a whole dessert spread, and that sounds like heaven.

Great little spot with fantastic food. We had the chicken stew, taro chips, chimichurri and chicken pachamanquero - all were fantastic! The service was also on point. Definitely worth the drive from Elk Grove.

First time to visit this Peruvian restaurant, and on Christmas Day. Surprisingly, it was not busy. The service is slow, so not a place fora quick bite. Everything was excellent. We started with ceviche and fried plantains. Main dishes were Seafood paella, Lomo (beef) saltado plate, and Pollo (chicken) saltado plate. The Peruvian decor makes it feel authentic. Rolling reel of Peruvian vistas is also a nice touch.

This is my first time trying Peruvian food. I came here with a group of friends. We ordered different dishes, so we can share family style, and get try a variety of different items. Everything was very good. They offer a buffet on the last Sunday of the month for $45. The staff was very nice and friendly.

Service was a bit slow. Ambiance was nice. Parking was easy since it's located in a strip mall. Food was absolutely delicious. Lots of great flavors. I had the chicken dish with veggies and the chicken was very tender and juicy, it had a sauce on top that was savory and the veggies were a delightful combination of potatoes and sweet potatoes and zucchini

I was looking forward to visit this Peruvian restaurant and it wasn't what I thought. First they offered a buffet style which I did not choose. The majority of the group picked out dishes to share as appetizers and for the most part all were okay. I did enjoy the maduros and yuca frita. My main dish was too watery and I like my paella more pasty in texture. The service was fast and efficient but just not my favorite dishes.

So good!! Honestly one of the best things I've ever eaten. The food was amazing -- full of flavor and cooked perfectly. The place feels super cozy and welcoming, and the service was awesome. Everyone was really nice and made the experience even better. Can't wait to go back! Went here with my brother and he said pretty much the same thing, soooo good!

Really good Peruvian cuisine; the food and service were exceptional. The yuca fries and fried shrimp were my favorite, as well as the beef hearts. The atmosphere was pretty chill, and the chicha morada was off the chain and very refreshing.

I didn't want to write this review but I had a concern about something about the menu. I ordered the tequenos de pollo as an appetizer and the menu didn't say anything about it having cheese in which was perfect. I got the order and it in fact had cheese. I'm lactose intolerant and really sensitive to dairy so I asked about the cheese being in it. He confirmed it was in there, so I asked if they can just take it back- the waiter said no. I then asked if they can just take it off the bill because I couldn't eat it. He said no to that too. My husband doesn't eat meat and my son is lactose intolerant so it was going to be food wasted and money down the drain. I was pretty shocked because I've never been to a restaurant where they can't reasonable accommodate the guest. I then ordered my entree and the chicken was very dry and overcooked. I was not satisfied but I knew they wouldn't let me swap it for something else. Unfortunately I'm not going to rush to come back. The waiter was friendly enough but not accommodating. I get nervous when it comes to food allergies because now I know that some restaurants aren't disclosing food allergens which is actually not allowed. There are folks out here with life threatening allergies, so these places need to be careful. I'm glad I'm not one of those people but it's still disappointing.

We had the kindest server who let me sample a few (non alcoholic) drinks before making my decision. My colleague and I ordered two appetizers off the bar bites menu. We ordered the yucas y platanos ($13) and the beef heart anticuchos ($17). Then, we felt like we could still eat a little bit more so we split the ceviche mancora ($26). All the food was fantastic. A few days later, and I'm still thinking about how great those beef hearts were. So flavorful, so tender, and such a fun texture. I was so surprised with how much I enjoyed them. In second place was that ceviche mancora. The sauce had the perfect spice. We asked for between a mild to a medium, and my mouth is watering just thinking about it. Our waiter was extremely patient with explaining every dish, giving us recommendations, and making sure we were comfortable with the spice level. He really spent extra time with us to explain everything and I really appreciated it. Overall I would highly recommend this spot if you're in the area.

The platanos and yuca appetizer was very good, the Chicha Morada sangria was delicious, and the birthday cheesecake was appreciated as well. Unfortunately though, my husband and I were both disappointed with the Lomo Saltado. I completely understand restaurants are dealing with rising costs, inflation, etc., but the dish we received had a very small amount of steak compared to the amount of onions. My husband and I jokingly called it the "Onion Saltado" dinner afterward. I wish I had taken photos, but I had accidentally left my phone at home. My honest suggestion would be either: keep the current portion sizes but balance the meat-to-onion ratio a bit better and consider adjusting the price point, or increase the amount of steak and vegetables and charge a little more for it. I truly don't mind paying higher prices for a great dining experience, good service, and a satisfying entrée. I just didn't feel the value matched the $33 price in this case. That said, the restaurant itself had a great vibe and the service was genuinely excellent.

The atmosphere and location are great - it's a beautiful space and feels lively. The cocktails were delicious and authentic. And the butter cake... WOW. I would absolutely come back for that alone. Land and sea chowder: tasted good but the portion was tiny. We ate the whole serving in no joke, 2-3 spoonfuls. Smoky bluefin tostada: again, tasted good but portion was so small. 3 very large tortilla chip-looking chips with a very tiny slice of tuna on each chip. On a very large plate. The whole thing looked so sad. Sea bass à la huancaina: soooo sad looking. 2 tiny pieces of sea bass, both overcooked, one under seasoned and one so over seasoned and salty that it was hard to eat. Had one singular olive on top that tasted and looked random on the plate. One singular piece of wilty looking lettuce that made the whole thing feel depressing. The only thing good tasting on it were the 2 small pieces of potato and the sauce. Lomo Saltado plate: my husband got this one, but the pieces of steak I tried were over cooked and salty. There was a tiny pile of sad rice on the plate. He said he didn't really like the dish either. Desserts: at first the waiter told us we could only have 1 dessert to share for every 2 people (lol)! That was different from other pre fixe menus where each person gets one dessert! We were wondering, were the desserts larger sized so it makes sense for it to be shared? Nope, it was a regular sized dessert. The waiter was nice enough to sneak a second one to us, and honestly the desserts were probably the best tasting things of the whole meal. Butter cake was flavored well and had a very nice texture, and rice pudding was good too. Hats off to our waiter who snuck us that extra dessert, made the whole meal a little less sad lol. Side note, we spoke to some friends who went to this place earlier in January for Dine Downtown and they said they each got a dessert as a regular part of the meal. Not sure if they were running out of supply at the end or what, but c'mon, should be better prepared than that as a restaurant with your supplies so you're not jipping paying customers out of food we paid for. Seriously would not come here again. The food we got was not worth over $100. The whole experience felt stingy and sad, and food wasn't good. Sad representation of Peruvian food.

Finally,…read moreafter what felt like forever waiting for them to come back around to the Capitol, I got to order the krunch wrap again. This time, I got al pastor. The two options are al pastor or chicken or for $1 extra, asada. If you can't stand those two options, sure go ahead and order with the asada, but if you could go either way, choose the al pastor! It was so tender, flavorful, and juicy. I've only had al pastor this delicious one other time and have been chasing down that flavor for almost two years now and am happy to say I have found it with Ahuevo's al pastor. On top of that, the tostada inside is so unbelievably crispy and light and the toasted cheese on the outside is so genius. Those are probably the two characteristics that I love the most about this menu item. A few things were different with my experience this time, but nothing that would garner a lower rating. First, it was served in a nacho style tray rather than a takeout box. Not the biggest fan because it's difficult to transport, but on a good day, find a bench and you'll be just as comfortable as if you ate it in your office. Second, there were significantly less tortilla chips included. I counted maybe like six... but! They're not really important to the dish, except for when some of the fillings inevitably fall into the tray and you're left with the tortilla chips to scoop them up (you don't wanna waste this stuff). Lastly, there was no side sauce like when I ordered the asada, but again, not necessary! I wasn't a big fan of the sauce to begin with when I tried it, because the flavors are so balanced in the krunch wrap by itself that it's just not needed. Ok, one other thing that was different- the fillings were so generous! Last time I was biting into some thick layers of tortilla, but this time they got the ratio on the money. If you can only get one thing from this truck, get this and you will not regret it whatsoever. And just to emphasize, the quality versus the price of the food is absolutely insane. With surging food prices, I was happy paying $12 and am looking forward to hopefully seeing them in front of the Capitol again.
