Decided to give this another chance. We came for my son's 18th birthday, at his request. We made reservations for 5. They initially were going to sit us at a table located at the ENTRY. Yes, the table where everyone waiting to sit down will be standing around. A clear view of you and your party eating all the meats they bring around as they wait to be seated. With that, we kindly rejected the table and requested another table - perhaps a booth, just not that table. We waited a few minutes and escorted down to one of the long booth/table/chairs located behind the salad bar. Not sure if it was where we sat, our location, or the service, or maybe a combination of everything, but wow, what a difference compared to our last visit. They were attentive, the meats were coming around ... we did have to specifically request the pineapple and cheese to come to the table, and they did. I was extremely disappointing experience, especially when it came to food safety and allergies. We were so excited to celebrate our son's birthday but left with one of the worst dining experiences we have had in a long time. I need to avoid gluten (celiac disease) and asked THREE different employees if the croutons were gluten-free. I also checked the allergy menu. I was repeatedly assured they were gluten-free. I ate one and immediately knew something was wrong. I asked again, and sure enough, the croutons contained gluten. I am now sick at home because I relied on the information the staff gave me. To make matters worse, the cantaloupe I got from the Market Table had visible mold on it. I have photos of it. The service was also very inattentive. I asked for the gluten-free cheese bread four separate times and never received it. I understand that mistakes can happen, but giving a customer incorrect allergen information after they specifically ask multiple employees is a serious issue. I did everything I could to verify that the food was safe for me to eat and trusted the answers I was given. Between the incorrect allergen information, moldy fruit, and inattentive service, this was an incredibly disappointing experience. I hope management takes this seriously and makes sure staff are properly trained on allergens so this doesn't happen to someone with an even more severe reaction. read more

I've been to Fogo de Chão many times at other locations and have always had a great experience, which is why today's visit to the Roseville location was extremely disappointing. After being seated, we waited almost 30 minutes before any meat came to our table. I specifically told our server that I only eat pork and lamb, but unfortunately, my request seemed to be completely ignored. I didn't receive any meat I could eat until about 42 minutes after being seated. I specifically asked for pork chops and grilled pineapple, but neither ever came to our table. After finally receiving only two servings of meat, nothing else came around. I also asked for a cup of ice. Not only was my request initially forgotten, but after I had to get up and find the server myself to ask again, I was brought a small plastic kids' cup of ice. At this point, I honestly felt like my table and my requests were simply not being taken seriously. For a restaurant like Fogo de Chão, especially considering the price and the level of service I've consistently received at other locations, this was completely unacceptable. I spent more time waiting and trying to get someone's attention than actually enjoying my meal. If management has any doubt about what happened, please review your cameras from Sunday, September 6, 2026, between approximately 3:25 PM and 4:30 PM. The footage should clearly show how long we sat waiting, how little service we received, and that I eventually had to get up and find the server myself just to get a cup of ice. Fogo de Chão Roseville: An Elegantly Priced Insult to Brazil There are disappointing restaurants, there are bad restaurants, and then there are restaurants that leave one wondering whether an entire culinary tradition deserves a formal apology. Fogo de Chão Roseville belongs firmly in the third category. I visited around 5 p.m. on a Saturday--prime dinner service. If there were ever a time for a restaurant of this caliber to demonstrate its freshest food, strongest service, and most prepared staff, this should have been it. As a Brazilian familiar with churrasco, I understand its fundamental principle: respect the meat. Somewhere on the journey to Roseville, that principle was apparently lost in transit. The picanha ranged from excessively salty to strangely bland, chewy, fatty, and inconsistently cooked. "Medium rare" seemed less like a temperature and more like a philosophical suggestion. The chicken was forgettable, the sausage aggressive, and the lamb a reminder that the animal deserved better. Perhaps the restaurant's most abundant offering was unlimited waiting. For a concept built around a continuous parade of meat, the waits were outrageous. Our green card remained displayed while we waited long enough to wonder whether the cattle were still being raised somewhere outside Sacramento. Request picanha. Be assured it is coming. Wait long enough to experience personal growth. Eventually something arrives. It is chicken. The Market Table was equally disappointing. At 5 p.m. on a Saturday, some items somehow already looked exhausted. A Brazilian spread should communicate freshness and abundance, not make you wonder how long something has been sitting there. Then there is the bar, where cocktails go to lose their dignity. A premium steakhouse should have bartenders capable of producing classic cocktails consistently and efficiently. Instead, drinks were poorly balanced or inconsistent, and the wait times were absurd. There were bartenders moving, bottles being lifted, shakers shaking--tremendous evidence that bartending was occurring. And yet, somehow, the cocktails remained missing. A drink ordered with dinner should not arrive in time to accompany dessert or the check. An outrageous wait for a basic cocktail does not make it artisanal. It makes it late. Service was another mystery. How can so many employees be present while guests feel completely unattended? A churrascaria requires choreography: gauchos circulate, drinks appear, plates disappear, requested cuts arrive, and managers control the room. Here, the choreography resembled an elementary-school production where nobody remembered which scene they were in. Green apparently means "perhaps." Red means "we shall see." Management somehow perfected the art of being everywhere and useful nowhere. Service struggling? Observe it. Bar overwhelmed? Fascinating. Dining room slipping? Walk briskly through it while looking important. A competent manager should identify problems, support employees, and maintain standards before guests experience the consequences. Here, the dysfunction did not seem to interrupt the operation. It was the operation. The bartenders need direction. The dining room needs leadership. The restaurant needs standards. The managers, apparently, need a manager. Cleanliness was another disappointment. Once you notice one neglected detail, you begin noticing the tables, floors, plates, and food stations. At these prices, cleanliness should be meticulous enough that guests never have reason to think about it. Perhaps the darker lighting is doing admirable work. Then comes the bill. Mediocrity can be forgiven when it is inexpensive. At premium churrascaria prices, mediocrity arrives wearing a tuxedo and demanding gratuity. Between waiting for meat, waiting for cocktails, waiting for requests, and waiting for somebody to notice that you are waiting, Fogo Roseville does indeed provide an unlimited experience: Unlimited patience. Food: -- Somewhere, a cow is requesting an investigation. Service: -- Green card. Red card. Neither has jurisdiction here. Bar: -- The cocktail may arrive. Your grandchildren will let you know. Finally getting around to this review! We took my husband here for his birthday in May, and it was our first time trying a Brazilian steakhouse. We had such a good experience! We went with the premium option so we could try all the different meats being brought around. It was fun getting to taste a little bit of everything, and the full-service Market Table had a really good selection too. Definitely come hungry! The restaurant itself is beautiful and has a really nice ambiance, but what stood out to me was how kid-friendly they were. We brought our little one with us, and the staff were just as attentive to him as they were to us. He enjoyed getting to eat and try different things too, which made the experience even better for us. Most importantly, my husband had a great birthday dinner. Unexpectedly disappointing for our first visit. First off, the food was phenomenal. Salad bar was fully stocked with a variety of fruits, veggie dishes, salads, and charcuterie selections. Cheese bread is to die for. The sweet plantains were delicious. The decadent chocolate cake was the perfect ending to the meal. That being said, the service can be better. Though we were seated promptly for our reservation, we had two different servers tend to us. This may have been the source of all confusion. We specifically came to Fogo de Chão to celebrate my mom's birthday and to get the Tomahawk steak. We ordered it to share and added the market salad bar for each person. After one round at the salad bar and few pieces of cheese bread, we were ready for the steak. When our server finally brought it out, it was a Wagyu, not a Tomahawk. After informing him of our correct order, the server apologized and said that it would be another 10- to 15-minute wait. We didn't mind at first, but the wait felt longer. Maybe due to our hungry tummies and not wanting to fill up on the salad bar. The Tomahawk finally came and it was carved at table side. It appeared very rare when we had asked for medium rare. The server explained that it will continue to cook on the hot salt block. So we let it sit. We took the steak off early to avoid making it salty, but it was too early. We constantly had to put our pieces back onto the salt block to cook to our desired doneness. This was disappointing because we expected already done steak to come to our table. Because we were celebrating a birthday, we were told that dessert would be complimentary. We ordered the Chocolate Brigadiero. It came out with no candle and no "Happy Birthday" writing on the plate. After the mediocre experience, we didn't bother to ask the server to add it. Lastly, when the check came out, we were charged for the mistaken Wagyu! Omg we had a blast at Fogo this evening for happy hour!! We came to celebrate my girls bday! We had so much food. I had the gold rush and the hibiscus. We shared the empanadas, lobster and shrimp tacos, filet mignon board, spinach dip, lobster Mac and cheese, charcuterie board and beef sliders. For dessert we had the cheesecake brûlée and chocolate cake ganache. The server was Mya who was amazing. She was attentive and apologized several times as our food was late. Came In for a date night, we always to to galpo galuchau Brazilian but decided to try this chain! What a mistake. For starters their salad bar is a third if not a fourth of the size of the other restaurant. There was barely anything to choose from. When it came to the meats as soon as we sat down with our salad we were bombarded one after the other. Like they stood in line to offer it, we took a few pieces and then decided to turn the paper over so we had some time to enjoy ourselves because they were crowding us. After that when we wanted meat we had to ask someone to bring something to us. The waiters kept apologizing for forgetting us. At some point we sat with hungry eyes and empty plates for over 20 minutes while everyone else was being served. No one even came to clean up our salad plates. The service sucked. My husband and I decided to give this place a try for the first time because we were hoping it would be another great Brazilian steakhouse. Unfortunately, based on our experience and the price we paid, I feel the need to share our feedback. Our waiter was nice and friendly, and the side options were limited, but that wasn't a big issue for us. The biggest disappointment was the meat selection and service. They kept bringing us the same few meats--bacon steak, bottom sirloin, sausage, and a pork item I don't remember the name of. They brought the same items for about three rounds, so we finally asked our waiter how many different meats were included with the $75 price. We were told there were 16 types of meat. We asked if we could see a list so we would know what to request, but we were told they didn't have one. The manager came over and asked what we liked. We explained that we didn't know what they offered and again asked for a list, but he also said they didn't have one. The manager then said he would have some of the premium meats brought to us. Eventually, they brought some, but honestly, we felt like we had to complain in order to get the variety we were expecting. Otherwise, they seemed to just keep bringing the same few items. For our first experience, we were disappointed and unfortunately would not return. For the price, we would much rather go to Galpão Gaucho in Roseville. Our experience there was completely different--they brought out a wide variety of meats continuously and much faster, to the point where we had to tell them to stop bringing more because we were full! Upon arrival to the Sacramento, Roseville location; entering into the restaurant was a complete vibe. Gorgeous environment. Very welcoming with staff greeting and saying hello. Absolutely beautiful resturant located in Roseville near a spectacular shopping center with amazing views! Both outdoor enclosed patio seating & quaint indoor seating- it offers both brunch, lunch & dining services for both casual lunches + special occasions! A few things to note- the patio is enclosed & is beautiful but it is right next to a road- and had a makeshift tent wall- so noise is not blocked out completely if that matters. I would recommend making reservations a few days in advance if youre booking for a special occasion because the tables do fill up quickly- it is a popular resturant and can be busy in the weekends. I've been to a couple different Fogo locations. My favorite special is the market table & feijodora bar (salad bar) w/ one grilled selection or meat. My go to is the picanha. Its pretty reasonable especially at lunch & after the salad bar- you'll be pretty full. The indulgent churasco is a bit more expensive especially near dinner times & after the salad bars you'll be suprised how quickly you get full. They have an amazing salad bar with exotic fruits & veggies with soups and some charcuterie board appetizers. The picanha they serve is always amazing, served table side with the most accommodating staff. Since it was my birthday they also offered a birthday dessert- I got the tres leches & it was the best! We went for the first time yesterday. I would recommend reservations because they get very busy. The service was amazing! We have been to many Brazilian steak houses and this one had the guys coming around with the meats every couple of minutes. There is no way anyone could leave hungry! I also enjoyed their sides area and they had a nice selection of cold items that weren't salad. It was over 100 degrees out, so soup or pasta didn't sound good. The meats were tasty, my favorite was the bacon wrapped chicken and the pineapple was delightful! The only minor irritation is when we were finishing up, our server came by and asked if we needed any dipping sauces. We also made our money's worth the market table with a variety of fresh sides and parings for the meats that were served. The service overall the second time was better than the first experience with my sister's. During our first visit the servers didnt really check up on us during our visit and they had switched out on us without letting us know of the change so we had to flag down someone before realizing that person was our acting server. The second time with the rest of my family the servers we very attentive and also ready to ask what we need. Mind you, both times were on Sundays during peak hours. Have visited twice for brunch so far and had great experiences overall. We've done reservations ahead of time, though it wasn't too busy on the weekends we've attended. Both times, the info about celebrating a birthday didn't seem to be conveyed to whoever was serving us. The first time, we weren't asked about a celebration at all. The second time, we got asked about it at the end, which is how we found out that we could get a complimentary dessert of our choice. (The cheesecake brûlée was delicious with such a fun texture!) We brought our 10 month old on our second visit and was offered fries, options to modify mashed potatoes to better suit him, and even a plastic cup with straw for water. Parking isn't too difficult as they share a parking lot with Jared Jewelers, but there's a bigger shared lot with the other shopping places right next to that. We went there last night for their Bar and Bites From the management to the staff we had a great experience. The event planner and Erica are the best. Very professional and knowledgeable plus attentive to the customers. They served various meats that were tender and flavorful. They also served crab and lobster tacos wrapped in Napa cabbage and crab cakes which was right up my alley as I'm pescatarian. They always make sure I'm talking care of. I have never been to Fogo de Chão. I came together with my wife for dinner, hungry hoping to have great experience. We selected to try their Full Churrasco buffet which was priced at $74 per person. According to the servers it includes 16 different meats. Unfortunately they kept on serving 4 or 5 the same meat over and over again. If I can remember correctly picanha, meat bacon-wrap steak, bottom sirlion and top sirlion. I started to asked them to bring in some of their premium meats like the ribeye, beef ribs and lambs. If I hadn't demanded they wouldn't have offered our table their premium meats. I have never flipped the card the gave us to stop because I had to wait and request many times to bring different meats and it took them almost forever to deliver. I wasnt able to take pictures of what they served since I was hungry and just ate them as soon as they gave me the slices. Overall, I wouldn't recommend to whoever wants to experience brazillian steakhouse buffet like this. I had a great experience at Galpão Gaucho Brazillian Steakhouse. The taste and the ambiance is more Brazillian in my own opinion :) read more

Fogo de Chão - The proof I went there! - Brazilian Near Me - Roseville, California

We wanted a low key anniversary lunch and wanted to go somewhere nice that was also kid friendly. We saw that Fogo de Chao offered brunch so we made reservations for a Sunday morning. We walked in was greeted by our hostess. She was so kind and accommodating for our little ones. We were seated at our table and chose the Full Churrasco. It included the table side carving of different proteins, and the buffet of sides. The buffet options were plentiful and scrumptious. Our favorites were the waffles, sausages, pear quinoa salad, and fresh fruit. There was also a made to order omelet station. Sides were brought the table which like mashed potatoes and plantains. As for the proteins, we had rib eye, lamb, bacon wrapped chicken, sausage, and sirloin. The lamb and rib eye were great. Unfortunately some of the other cuts were dry and tougher than we liked. The interior is spacious and definitely accommodating for large groups. Staff again were wonderful. They were kind and so friendly, but not overbearing. It was a great dining experience and definitely enjoyed the brunch items. We also got a complimentary dessert for celebrating. It was great time and hopefully we can come back for dinner and try the more indulgent experience. read more

My wife and I were introduced to Fogo de Chão back several years ago at a restaurant in Kansas City KS. The restaurant that we visted was absolutely amazing and being that we had a great experience then, let me tell you how excited we were when we realized that there was a Fogo close to our home in Folsom. Being that today is Easter we decided to go and get something to eat after Church and come home. Since we have been here before this time around we went with the same thing that we have eaten called The Churrasco Experience. Its basically the Meat, Pasta. Vegetable and Salad Bar with the Staff bringing around different types of meats. The first couple of meats that I had today were the Sirloin, the Filet Mignon and then they brought around the Grilled Pineapple. OOOH, let me tell you that both of the meats were succulent and delicious. But when you bite into the Grilled Pineapple that is actually when your palate wants to take off to the moon. Its tender, juicy and when you bite into it and all of the Pineapple Juices hits your tongue and all you want to do is eat more, you certainly know that you have hit a gold mine. The Salad Bar was filled with Fruits, Vegetables and different kinds of meats. There you have a smorgasbord of anything you could put onto your plate. Overall this place is a 5 from the friendliness of the staff, to the delicious meats that are brought over to your table to the sparkling Water that I had because I wasn't in the mood for Soda Pop or any Alcoholic beverage at the time either. The price is a little pricey but you cant beat leaving overly stuffed from everything you could get your hands on. Thanks Fogo de Chão for being so close to home and being just as we remembered the first time we visited a Restaurant of yours in Kansas City. Everything was absolutely wonderful. read more

We enjoyed this place! They come around with endless amount of meats. Their salad bar is amazing and honestly I would go back just for that, I didn't want to fill up entirely on salad bar items since we were really paying for the meat but everything on the salad bar was amazing! The only con is it was HOT in there like people were sweating just after walking inside. We were a party of two so we were seated at a half booth between two other couples and it was wayyy too hot to be that close to other people. Backstory: my girl and I were hungry for something new after making it home from the Bay earlier in the afternoon. She suggested this place cuz we have had a lot of good memories at Flame & Fire in Folsom (the best one, they closed tho!! ) and their Roseville location is good but just not the same. Anyhow we wanted to try this place so sure, we will make the 40 min drive up from Rancho. Made reservations for 8:15 on a Saturday.
