Great food and staff!! The meats are great and they have great attention to detail. While not Turkish, you must order the side mashed potatoes - heaven the only complaint is I wish the restaurant was made to be more detailed with authentic Turkish design to really symbolize the Turkish culture and cuisine found in this restaurant.

Pera Mezze was my choice for Mother's Day dinner, and overall, I came away impressed. Despite it being a very busy evening, the service team worked seamlessly together to keep everything running smoothly. Marcos, our server, was attentive and professional, and our food arrived promptly throughout the meal. The food was well-seasoned and cooked with care. The beef meatballs could have used a touch more salt, but they were still enjoyable. The lamb chops were the standout of the evening--perfectly cooked, tender, and absolutely delicious. The octopus tentacle was surprisingly tender, and the poached pear dessert was a delightful way to end the meal. My only real confusion was the lack of steak knives for some of the meat dishes we ordered. Cutting through the lamb chops and other meats with a butter knife was a bit challenging and took away from the dining experience. The restaurant was also quite warm that evening. It didn't seem like the air conditioning was keeping up with the crowd, making the dining room feel somewhat humid and uncomfortable at times. That said, the quality of the food and the excellent service more than made up for those minor issues. I would definitely return to try more dishes from the menu, especially during a cooler time of year.

The interior is nice and there's lots of seating. I didn't use the bathroom, but I was told there was no soap. I was also told that the paper towels were not placed in the dispenser. From where we were seated, we got a whiff of disinfectant smell coming from the bathroom at one point. We were given complimentary bread with dip. It was a fantastic start. As an appetizer, we had the chef mix mezze plate- hummus, babaganoush, dolmades, cretan feta spread, and muhammara. I thought the portion was small. Next, we had the Turkish manti (beef dumplings) served with garlic yogurt. This was my favorite dish. As mains we had the beef shashlik (skewers) and grilled lamb skewers that were served with white rice and salad. I preferred the lamb over the beef. I didn't feel as if the portion reflected the high price though. Overall, I don't think we would be back.

I really wanted to like this place. Located in the same complex as Paul Martins in Roseville, the interior is furnished with comfortable velvet chairs and upbeat music plays in the background. I really liked the ambiance. Specializing in Mediterranean food, we started with the grilled octopus. I love octopus! I know for a cephalopod they are intelligent creatures, but my love of seafood overcame my moral compass. While the top seemed a bit too overcooked, it was a bit crunchy on top but the rest was very tender. I had their Paso Robles cabernet (there is only one) and when it came out, it tasted like the bottle had been open for a while and a bit stale, so I asked to swap it out for the pinot noir. The server took the wine and replaced it. Next, I ordered the beef skewers and here is where things went wrong. When the beef came out, it was chewy and a bit tough. A shade more than well done. While no one came to ask if we liked our food, I asked the waitress if I could get this remade. She muttered something about leaving the one I had ordered and would bring out another one. We had the beet salad which I quite enjoyed. It was fresh and the beets were done just right. My date had the lamb, which was done perfectly! Made me wish I had that instead. When the bill came, we were charged for the wine that was sent back and that I just had a sip of. In addition, we were also charged for the beef skewers that I had not eaten due to it being too tough. This was the first time I had experienced a situation like this! Dear Yelp Readers, was I wrong in feeling disappointed and annoyed? To top it off, because I was out on a date, he didn't want to say anything LOL. He told me after the fact days later. Based on my experience, on principle I won't be returning. I feel that when you order a meal it should be to your liking and you shouldn't be charged extra if it isn't up to par.

10/10. No notes. If you are someone who has an issue trying new things, or has trouble stepping out of your comfort zone, this place will change your mind completely about what you THINK you won't like, and end up making you fall in love with Mediterranean food. I love a good hummus, and I've found it here. We opted for the mix mezze plate and the moment that fresh, (and Im talking FRESH) bread and hummus hit my mouth, instant love. The hummus was amazing. Perfectly seasoned and smooth. I always love sampler plates like this because it gives you a great opportunity to sample as much as you can. My friend had the Ali Nazik and the beef was so tender, she almost didnt need a knife. My order of the hummus and quinoa salad was just as phenomenal, and not because I opted to add some steak on top. The restaurant is so beautiful. The chairs are comfortable and the entire place is stunning and smells so clean! Loved it. The service was amazing as well. I couldn't have asked for a better lunch. Was it expensive? Yes. A little over $100 for lunch. But will I get another meal out of those leftovers, also yes. The portion sizes were super on par for what they were charging. Ill absolutely go back again. Their cocktail menu is short and sweet, and I absolutely need to try their desserts.

My brother in law and sister in law took us here for lunch after raving about it so I knew it had to be good! I can definitely see why they have a 5-star average. They have a nice location, in the old Q1227 spot. It's nicely decorated and despite seeming like a fancier type restaurant, they even had a kids menu and kids cups! So definitely some bonus points in my eyes. We basically let our family order everything that they liked and I had zero complaints about any of it. Everything was so delicious, from the complimentary bread paired with the appetizers, to the main course, to the not-too-sweet desserts! My top favorites if I had to absolutely choose were the tzatziki, Turkish manti, beef shashlik, and chicken skewers. I'm not normally a fan of the chicken kabobs but these were cooked so perfectly and the meat was so tender. The rice pudding dessert was a perfect pair with the kunafe. On their "kids menu" they offer either beef kofte or chicken, with a side of rice or fries. It was a generous portion and one of each was plenty for our three hungry toddlers. Wonderful service and we felt like royalty here! I wish these new owners lots of success, we're already planning to bring friends here to check it out!

This place is awesome. From the service, to the decor, to the food! Arrived on a Saturday ordered dumplings, salad and lobster linguine. It all came with complimentary fresh bread and fresh olive oil. The dumplings were amazing and the yogurt was a nice touch. It's a nice sit down restaurant that delivers on class, quality, service and food.

Pera meza house located in Roseville has an elegant nod to Turkish and Greek culture. An elevated elegant dinning room and wall of wine bottles bring a classy upscale ambiance. The hostess greeted us immediately on arrival and sat our large party at our reserved table. Pera alps provided a private dining space out on a patio. Our waiter was so graciously patient as we ordered our food. With an open view of the kitchen you can see the chef cook and prepare your meal. We tried almost everything on the menu with our large party of 15. I removed one star for a couple of reasons. First please turn on your hood fan as it got really smokey inside the building that patrons were coughing from the smoke. My eyes became watery and it was hard to breathe from the smoke. Second although the food was good it was definitely cold. I believe everything is made in batches and brought out to many dinners at once that I saw plates of rice sitting on the counter top till the meat was ready to be plated. Everyone's rice and meat were cold.

The need for Turkish food in the area was much anticipated and successfully delivered! Pera Mezze is an exceptional place to have the best tasting Turkish food that I've missed so much since visiting. Everything I ordered was amazing and very well presented full of flavor and so beautifully crafted making the term eating with your eyes first very true! The balance and burst of flavors and texture in every dish had been immaculately handcrafted; And the Kunafa!!! Just try it to experience because I can't explain it in words. The best dessert always has cheese in it. Enough said!

Great food, service and atmosphere. Our server was so attentive. We started with lichee martinis, and for dinner muhammara, haloumi, spanokopita, Turkish manti, soup of the day, beet salad with added chicken, warm bread, feta dip, and for dessert a poached pear with honey yogurt and baklava. Everything was delicious!

Absolutely delicious! I am American and my husband is Arab and we both genuinely enjoyed this meal. We tried of variety of dishes and we both felt they were all created with culinary excellence. Grilled octopus was tender. Tenderloin was seasoned perfectly. Lobster tail was juicy. Everything was cooked and prepared thoughtfully and presented beautifully. Turkish coffee and knafeh was the perfect end to a perfect dinner.

for a special occasion dinner, my boyfriend and i decided to try out pera mezze in roseville. i'm soooo glad we did! it's located in a lovely spot with a few other businesses. we made a reservation for a friday night, but it wasn't crowded. the restaurant is pretty tiny though, so i would recommend a reservation. we were seated promptly, and they served us complimentary bread and a little dip after placing our orders. this bread is so good! it's fluffy and spongy, and the dip pairs so well with the hummus we ordered as well. the hummus doesn't come with bread itself, but we were happy to have it with the complimentary bread. we also ordered the manti, which were the little steamed dumplings with yogurt. i liked the contrast of the rich, meaty dumpling and the sharp, bright yogurt! we ended the dinner with their kofte, which came with a salad and mashed potatoes. the meat was well-spiced and juicy inside. i enjoyed the salad too, it was a great addition to the kofte. overall i'd definitely come back, the service was wonderful and the ambiance is perfect for a date night!

Great Mediterranean date spot in East Roseville with excellent food and a good wine selection to pair. They offer a bunch of fun Greek and Turkish hot and cold appetizers, salads and entrees. They serve fresh pita with a nice olive tapenade to start. We ordered the muharamma, a cold octopus dish, halloumi cheese and the moussaka. Everything was fresh and well prepared and satisfied our craving for Greek. My wife and I really enjoyed it! We will definitely return.

Who doesn't love the idea of a speakeasy?? We decided to head to Roseville in pursuit of a secret place. We found the secret door, knocked, and a young man answered. He asked for the password. Unfortunately I am not on social media and that's where you're supposed to find it. Bummer! I decided to use my own password. It worked and we entered the inner sanctum. It was a cool, smallish place with nice decor. The bar was the first thing we saw. I looked around to see a few tables and couches to the left. It was pretty early and there were only a few people there so we got a cozy little table in front of a velvety couch. I went to the bar where a burly tattooed OG bartender greeted me. I ordered an old fashioned and a raspberry lemon drop. My old fashioned was done very well. I'm on an old fashioned kick right now and love to try them at different places that look like they know how to make them. This one was really good. My friend wasn't so keen on her lemon drop, saying the lavender was a bit overpowering. We had another round and this time she had something different that she enjoyed. My second old fashioned was just as good as the first. It was getting later and more people happened to have the password and it was getting crowded. We were done, paid the tab, which wasn't bad considering how most speakeasy's can be pretty pricy. Overall, it was a great experience, the place was nice, friendly, and the drinks were done well. Give it a shot. Find the password, or use your own if you dare!

You'd be forgiven for thinking you were in the wrong place or about to make a mistake and put yourself into a sketchy place. We looked around for a more "realistic" entry way not knowing the most realistic entry way is one that looks like a back door to a closed vacuum or furniture storefront. That's exactly the point. You knock. Immediately, the door opens. A man in a cowboy hat looks you over. He doesn't wear a name tag. He doesn't need one. He asks, "You have something to say?" If you've done your homework, and say the right thing, the door stays open. You're in. I do not know what happens if you do not have the word. What follows is less a bar and more a pocket of time. The interior is small but well conceived. The bar sits directly at the entrance, flanked by a few standing guests and several small tables. Beyond that, the space opens up into a lounge with seating for six to eight, and a longer bench-style area for a dozen or so. The walls are dark, the lighting low. It's the kind of place that feels like it remembers what Prohibition was, even if most of us never lived it. It felt like walking onto a movie set where we might be extras, and the main characters would enter and play out a scene. It was a perfect example of a speak easy in full swing. Even the glassware was legitimate. The decor is intentional. Books tucked into corners. Stags mounted on the wall. Nothing feels store-bought or trendy. It's immersive without trying too hard. The seats were not overstuffed contemporary types nor were the tables or even foot stools. They all looked like they came from a speak easy back in the day. About the only thing that did not look like the real thing were the patrons, as they were dressed casually, and of course the iPhones. I suppose that would have caused quite a ruckus during prohibition! Conversations are constant, layered over each other and laughter. It gets loud, but not obnoxious. There's a rhythm to the space that holds. My suggestion is to not go at 7pm on a Saturday and hope to get a prized table, couch or seat. Now, to the drinks. House Divided serves anything you ask for, but they lean into the theme. Classic cocktails done right. Throwbacks with historical lean. Creative new entries like lavender martinis that aren't just gimmicks. Each drink feels made by someone who knows what they're doing and takes pride in the process. This is not vodka-soda speed bar territory. It's craft, and it shows. I did not see a bottle of ocean spray anywhere, but what I did see were large glass bottles labeled with the juice or concoction held within. The little details are obvious! If I were to translate my usual framework:    *   Ambiance and Service: 4 stars (it can get loud and if you are here to have a conversation it will be difficult)    *   Quality: 5 stars- I had a simple drink - vodka and cranberry. With something "special" that the tender added. I don't know what it was, but the taste was wonderful! Way different than my standard go to!    *   Value? That depends on whether you're measuring price per ounce, or the fact that you just got to walk through a green door into another world. But in reality, 5 stars. Do I wish for more seating? Yes. Perhaps more quiet? Yes. But if it were those things, would it be the same? No. My guess is going on a Saturday at 7pm is going to be a bit crowded, and loud. That's my fault, and testament to their quality. Next, I found the staff to be great! Even the doorman gave it character, cowboy hat and boots and all! Great experience!

We arrived with a 7:15 reservation, and our table wasn't ready for about 15 minutes. Since we needed to leave by 8:40 we asked before being seated whether there would be enough time to dine, and we were assured there would be. Once seated, we were again told timing would be fine as long as we ordered immediately, which we did. However, there was apparently a shortage of clean silverware available for about 20 minutes, and we didn't receive water until roughly 25 minutes after sitting down. We were also never served bread. We ordered beer and wine at the same time as our food order, shortly after being seated, but by 8:30 we still had not received drinks or any food. Concerned about making it home on time, we asked for the bill and our meals to be packed to go, but the food never arrived. The waiter eventually came to our table and ripped up the receipt. We ultimately left at 8:40 without ever receiving dinner or the drinks we ordered at the beginning of the meal. Many nearby tables appeared to be having similar experiences, and staff were managing multiple frustrated guests, along with tables that had not been served food or drinks, or orders that came out incorrectly. Again, the issue did not seem to be the waitstaff themselves, but the overall extreme delay in getting any drinks and food, which should not take over an hour.
