For our main dishes, we ordered the Gulf Shrimp & Grits as well as the Seafood Pasta. The former was seasoned nicely, where every bite was well-rounded and tasty. The grits were also had a nice texture, and they weren't runny. The latter, on the other hand, was a creamy dream, with an ample amount of seafood, including lobster, shrimp, and crawfish. Also, can't forget to mention the Jalapeño Cornbread--so delectable! Overall, great meal! Service: Ashamed to admit that I forgot our server's name, but she was nothing short of amazing--an ambassador of the restaurant. Well versed in the menu, offered great recommendations (some of which we ordered), and a very friendly demeanor. Ambiance: Casual, cozy, rustic. Parking: Parking adjacent to the restaurant.

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this establishment. My party of 2 walked in on a Saturday right at…read moreopening and were the only guests throughout our visit. There's bar, booth, and table seating along with a slightly more private area with their own TV that's somewhat obscured by a hanging bead doorway. It took over 45 minutes for us to get our main courses, and around 20 to get the appetizer (which was the spinach dip -- that was delicious, but we were left with a lot of chips after the dip finished). I ordered the crab cakes and "fried corn" side, thinking they'd be more like corn ribs or the wingstop fried corn. It was just corn kernels!! I saw they had "corn ribs" at another location, so I assumed my corn would be in cob form. I ate about half of that before I decided to stop forcing myself. I tried the seafood grits and those were good, but for $31 it came with 3 shrimp and a little pile of other seafood. The seafood grits are served in a martini glass and it was mostly just grits. I wasn't a fan of the presentation or the proportions. The employees were okay ... we should have known something was up when we saw them ordering uber eats and receiving their food sooner than we received ours. We saw one employee frequently leaving to answer her cell phone and hit her vape. Slow service to say the least. To top it off, the 4 items ordered somehow came out to $90+. I was overcharged for low effort food and poor service. I hate to leave a negative review, but my experience was not one to speak positively about.

Ryan was helping out on the floor and was SO friendly. And the manager, jim stopped by to check on us as well. My husband had the kick in chicken fried bacon burger and gave it two thumbs up! I have a gluten and dairy restriction and they took care of me - and my burger was great. We will definitely be visiting again. Love that Jakes is family owned! So friendly!

Let's talk about Jake's. First things first -- the service…read morewas amazing. My server, Charity, was attentive, personable, and just made the whole experience easy. No chasing her down. No awkward waits. Just smooth, professional service. The ambiance was on point too -- relaxed, comfortable, somewhere you can actually sit and enjoy your meal. Now to the star of the show: the KICKIN' CHICKEN FRIED BACON BURGER. Fresh double beef patties, Jake's hickory sauce, melted cheese, crisp lettuce, red onion, chipotle mayo -- and topped with two thick, deep-fried slices of chicken fried bacon. Let me pause right there. That bacon? Crispy, thick, and absolutely amazing. It complemented that burger perfectly. The texture alone was next level. Everything blended well. The poppy seed bun was different, but it worked. It held everything together without falling apart -- and that matters with a stacked burger like this. Now here's my honest transparency: the patty was a little overcooked for my liking. Not dry, but just a touch longer on the fire than I would have preferred. Dial that back slightly and this burger would be a full-on knockout. I also had the onion rings -- crispy, not greasy, solid choice. And let's not ignore the SPICY MANGORITA. Mi Campo Blanco, mango, jalapeño, lime, Tajín -- and yes, I had two. Smooth with a little kick, that sweet heat balance was working. If you like a margarita that flirts with spice but doesn't overpower you, this is it. Would I go back? Absolutely. Next time I'm trying the chicken fried steak. I'm a fan, and now I need to see what Jake's does with it. I know there are other locations along the way back to Austin -- I think I spotted one in Waco -- so that may be my next stop. Great service. Great vibe. Strong food with just a small tweak needed on cook time. I'll be back.

We were pleasantly surprised by how crispy the chicken was; it had a really nice flavor. We also ordered a side of onion rings, which were super crunchy and delicious, and a side of sweet potato waffle fries. While the sweet potato waffle fries tasted amazing, the portion was pretty disappointing; we got about 10 fries total to share between two people. We originally wanted to order the K-Meal To-Go for 4-6 people, as we thought it was good value for money, but unfortunately, it wasn't available. They only had the large K-Box To-Go available, which costs around $90. We were told the K-Meals are not available on Fridays so they "don't lose money." If that's the case, then that's terrible marketing. Overall, the chicken and sides were great. We just think the sweet potato waffle fries portion should be larger for the price.

No flavor here, the chicken, the fries just everything. Couldn't eat the Bibimbop because the foundation of rice was undercooked and hard. $64 for that?! No way but unfortunately yes. Never again. This is not Korean fried chicken. Service was friendly. Tables were sticky but otherwise the restaurant was clean.

I checked my food on the way out of the parking lot I indeed had soggy chicken, and I quickly turned around to get a remake. I went inside this time and the cashier didn't have a clue on what I was talking about. I didn't get a little frustrated and I just asked her to refund me because I did not feel like explaining everything over again. She got her manager. I asked her manager for a refund, and he printed out a receipt and pointed at the website on the bottom of the receipt and tell me that that's where I could get my refund.. I've never heard of that a day in my life and I paid cash. Why do I have to wait to reach out to someone online to get a refund especially when I pay paper cash to them why can't they just refund me my money so he has to call his general manager, and I guess his general manager gave him the OK to give me a refund which I shouldn't have to wait around for that long just for them to get their things together in order to give me my refund.
