I'm traveling here from out of town and this is my second visit to this restaurant. I really like the food here especially for vegetarians eating in. Dallas can be sometimes difficult if you want a vegan meal or a vegetarian meal strictly. The first time I ordered from here, I had the falafel rice bowl, and this time I had the chickpea rice bowl with Pioneer and ordered a side of falafel. The falafel is very crispy and has a lot of flavor so I appreciate that. The chickpeas and panneer is very rich in taste and has a lot of good spice and flavor. I'll definitely be coming back to this restaurant a couple more times the next time I visit to Dallas highly highly recommended definitely give this restaurant a try. read more

I ordered the chicken shawarma roll with a house salad and a chicken salad bowl and I will say I was a bit disappointed. They have a picture of a Greek salad with all the right ingredients a Mediterranean salad should have so for them to serve the house salad without olives and cheese it's kinda false advertisement for customers. The chicken shawarma roll was very flavorful but not much of my preference. I'd expect the Mediterranean bread for a shawarma but instead I felt like I was eating a burrito with Mediterranean chicken (if that makes sense).. so not my favorite, but that might be someone's go to. I went to this place at least twice a month last summer. It's been a few months since I've last been. The ambiance is pretty chill, and the employees are pretty responsive and quick to notice you. There's enough seating inside for at least 30-40 people as well, and when I went there were about 10 people there. My usual order is a Tandoori Masala Chicken Bowl (medium spice). It seems like they've changed how they create their bowls. In the past, I used to have salad placed on top of the chicken + rice rather than a separate section like the one today. To me it felt like I wasn't given as much chicken and rice. The amount of chickpeas (chana) and paneer present in the dish didn't seem like a lot either. I also found a piece of chicken where the cartilage/bones were left. I know this isn't very normal based on previous times I've been here so that's why I've given this a 4/5. I still plan to go back, and hopefully next time I'll have a better experience. read more

We walked in to an empty restaurant around 11:30 am. Was greeted by a sweet lady in the kitchen and a very cute little boy at the register who took our order. (Glad we got there when we did because soon after we got our food it started getting busy) We ordered the Tandoori Masala Chicken over Rice Bowl with medium spice, the Manhattan Style Shawarma Roll with full spice, an order of Chicken samosa (comes with 3) and a Mango madness. Tandoori Chicken rice bowl was amazing, a little spicy for me but I'm not good with spice. The flavors were all there, rice was soft, chicken was tender, sauces were very flavorful and not watery (more gravy like) and the lettuce/salad was very crisp and fresh. Not wilted. Shawarma Roll was huge and delicious. The meat was very tender, the fillings complemented each other very well. My husband asked for the sauce on the side because he's normally not a big sauce guy but he ended up finishing the whole 4 oz ramekin lol. Not sure if it actually comes with it but the falafel that was on the side with this dish was seasoned great and had that crunch factor you would expect from a fried item. We were going to get the fries but instead opted for the chicken samosas after they were recommended and glad we did. They were an explosion of flavors wrapped in a crispy flaky triangle dough. (similar to the baklava crispy flaky dough) .I think it was the owner (Lady) who suggested the samosas and she threw in a few fries for us to taste.. they were a different style of fries.. not like your fast food fries.. they had a crispy coating, very good and had we not gotten so much food would have probably ordered a side as well. I left the best for last. Mango Madness drink. Think of a mango purée without lumps. So this place was a recommendation from someone In the Bengali community here in Dallas to me a French Canadienne immigrant to the states. As a former professional Chef now retired?, I consider myself a foodie since I eat out so much & along a line of various cultural cuisines. I'm a vegan not so fussy vegetarian...meaning "dairy" doesn't bug me so much anymore. My partner in dining-crime Is a wonderful Taiwanese who just loves spicy Szechuan style food so I've learned to appreciate the churn & burn of spiciness. I ordered a falafel wrap, the chickpea marsala, & the falafel & rice. The GOOD:- God dammit this food is very good and the spiciness is just right. Even though the wrap was sufficient enough to satisfy my late afternoon hunger craving game?, I couldn't resist also eating part of the chickpea marsala as well. The salad was spicy as all get-out but it's a good burn & if people just understood how good a spicy burn is for the health? They'd have more spicy food. It certainly is a Covid killer. The WEIRD: The layout is a little bit unintuitive & they have a large area that's empty when you first walk in which is where the menus & the ordering station should've been placed instead of around to the side by the bathroom. The BAD: The tables are sticky like crazy so they need to step up to a little bit stronger orange citrus type cleaner perhaps?. The floor had not been swept or mopped & was marred with scuff marks which affects people on a subconscious level so they need to figure out how to polish that floor. There's only one bathroom: it was nice, neat, & clean. The overflow stock side area by the bathroom was neatly arranged as well. No real reason to come back. The rice was ok but really wouldn't qualify as flavorful. The Gyro meat was also underwhelming. It was there and clearly was Gyro meat but not very flavorful and would be nice with a more grilled finish. The white sauce was also standard fare. Noting I would want to specifically come back for. The lettuce & veggies were also not noteworthy. There was lettuce and some veggies but very limited assortment. Other places with similar offerings have a lot of different veggies. (Onions bell peppers olives ...) Overall this was the most one dimensional flavored Gyro Bowl I can remember. It was there and my belly is full but I didn't want more and really don't see a return visit in the near future. On top of the just average product, the prices were pretty high. Granted they are in a very high rent area but that was a very expensive lunch. One minor annoyance was the register ring out. I guess I'm just picky because I've had a similar dish at a bunch of places but I felt like my chicken & rice plate was just ok. The chicken, although red in color indicating seasonings were present, really didn't have a lot of flavor. The rice was pretty good, the salad that came with it was fine. The white sauce was more similar to ranch dressing than to either the white sauce you get at someplace like Halal guys (mayo based) or tzaziki which is common from gyro shops, or a garlic sauce which often comes with chicken shawarma.
