We were greeted immediately as soon as we arrived. "Not So Fried" chicken was good, however, I was not a huge fan of the toasted bread. I like how it came with two sauces. The process is you order first then the server will take it to your table. Indoor and outdoor seating available. Plenty of parking. Two restrooms are available.
Ordered to-go for my office. Chicken soup was amazing. Hit the spot especially on a rainy day. The Chicken & Hummus Crunch Wrap had a lot going on. I would order the roll again but leave off half the ingredients. The roll was a lot bigger than what I thought. The vegetarian pesto caprese was great.
Always a Great Experience! Every time I visit Mendocino Farms, I'm blown away by how friendly and kind the staff (and even the owner?manager?) are. It really lifts my mood every time. On top of that, the food is both healthy and delicious, which makes it one of my favorite places to eat. Highly recommend!
Love the food from here! My company ordered it all the time for lunch which is how I first tried it, but the Addison location was really great for a quick stop for lunch the other day. The gentleman up front was super friendly, upbeat and service was great! I ordered my go to: the "not so fried" chicken sandwich with the basil pesto pasta shells as my side. The mustard remoulade that comes on it is so good. The chicken parm dip sandwich is an other fav of mine, but a slightly messier option because of all the sauciness. A lot of folks really like the spiced couscous, I order that on occasion. So would definitely try that, it's a side they're known for. Also the strawberry mint fresh lemonade was amazing! I got that for the first time and it was so refreshing.
Ordered the "Not So Fried" Chicken Sandwich and it has shaved, roasted chicken breast topped with Mendo's krispies, herb aioli, mustard pickle slaw, tomatoes, and pickled red onions on toasted ciabatta with a side of their chipotle BBQ or mustard pickle remoulade. Got the Spicy Curried Couscous as my side and it has roasted cauliflower & carrots with Mendo's signature spice mix (vegan). I was very skeptical when I saw my sandwich come out but it ended up being delicious! It tasted so fresh and had lots of flavor. I wasn't the biggest fan of the couscous, but that might also be because I don't really care for couscous in general. Just ordered it since I was told it was a customer favorite.
When you want to eat right but don't want the usual salad and sandwich, head here to add a little flare to the norm. Met some people for a meeting and this spot welcomed us with open arms. The area we sat in had outlets so we could plug in and use their wifi so we could get some work done while enjoying a meal. Sandwiches come with a side and their drink options aren't the normal sodas, so it's a nice change from the norm. Everything tasted good and we enjoyed our time here.
This is definitely a cute place to check out if you don't want your typical salad or sandwich. There is always their own neat little spin on their menu items. They have indoor seating and a cute patio to sit on which is perfect for the fall! I had a very weird interaction with the guy at the register, when trying to order my grilled chicken Caesar salad he informed me that there was no more grilled chicken and I could sub a different protein. He gave me the options and I went with steak. Then proceeded to ask me about having steak instead of chicken on the Not So Fried chicken sandwich. I don't know... just a very odd experience. The salad was good (I was craving the dressing so I stuck with ordering this), I just feel like there was way too much quinoa. My boyfriend's sandwich was way better though and way more flavorful and savory; I think this place shines with their sandwiches.
The Modern Caesar Salad (curly kale, chopped romaine, housemade superfood krunchies, shaved parmesan cheese, red onions, grape tomatoes, avocado, lemon squeeze) with classic Caesar dressing on the side hit the spot, especially if you're looking for something healthy and tasty! Also, their homemade beverages are very refreshing and refillable next to the fountain drinks station.

I do notice inconsistencies (across all Mendocino locations) where sometimes it comes with a tortilla and sometimes it doesn't. Also got the pink beet salad which is good! Service: Ordered online for pickup. It does typically take them 20+ minutes to prepare the food (across all locations), so order roughly 20 min ahead. Staff are friendly here! Ambiance: This location is spacious with floor to ceiling windows which makes it warm and bright inside. Ample parking. There's a La La Land Kind Cafe in the same plaza which is a plus.
My final lunch for 2022, I'm glad we stopped by Mendocino farms. We have been wanting to try this place again. We got the vegan Banh mi and turkey cheddar grilled sandwich. Both were very tasty and flavorful. I especially liked the different textures from the pickled carrots, radish(?), and the crunchy cucumber or jalapeños. My kid loved the grilled sandwich. She said it was the best turkey sandwich she ever had and liked the side of apples. The meal was brought to our table on metal trays and luckily the potato salad (you get to pick a side) that came with my Banh mi came in a to go package. I couldn't finish so that was perfect to take home! Next time we hang out in barnes and noble we'll come by here to eat! Fresh, healthy and delicious!
My bf frequents this place occasionally. It's clean and smells clean indoors and outdoors is clean and has sunny as well as shaded areas. Excellent management and honest employees. Both plates were mouth watering and freshly made to order. The vegan bahn mi has a nice kick to it and perfect pickled veggies with tofu that is flavored so delicious that you forget it's healthy for you. Definitely a filling must have experience that we both will be back for.
Clean, nice, family type place. I had the not so fried chicken sandwich and the Thai sweet potato soup and both are excellent. The service was quick and friendly and accommodating and I would definitely recommend this place for anybody that wants a great sandwich. Probably the only downside for me is that the chairs are a little hard and uncomfortable, I like a little padding when I'm sitting down, but that's not a big deal. I would definitely eat here again.
Food tastes light, tasty and fresh. A little on the pricier side but well worth it if you're health conscious. I paid $20 for half a sandwich and soup combo with a regular sized drink... I enjoyed the Greek lemon herb chicken soup SO much, I may have to steal the recipe off ChatGPT it's THAT good!!! read more
Very good...I came here since I was in the area and needed a tasty meal with no actual meat. I found this place and ordered a salad with impossible 'meat' and it was pretty tasty. I also got tomato soup which was good as well. read more

The staff was very sweet and helpful with the menu when I came here for the first time! My friend and I decided to split two sandwiches (would recommend getting a full sandwich since they come with a side) and both were very good - can't go wrong with either. The portions were probably on the smaller sides but it was definitely enough for lunch. Interior is very cute, bright and great for get-together! read more
Great service with tasty food. I came on a Saturday for lunch and it was quite busy but everyone was served fairly quickly. There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options, plus their Thai turmeric lemonade is so good. A little noisy on Saturday but a good place for families after soccer or for lunch while shopping in the area. read more
Mendocino Farms is some stellar sammies and anyone telling you otherwise is outta their mind. Funny enough, my wife ate in an east bay location back when we were Californians. She had no idea it was chain and she about flipped outta her chair when she randomly saw it as we were driving around looking for a lunch spot. I had never tried it, but after my first experience I am hooked. Their classic not-so-fried chicken lives up to the hype. It is a juicy, tasty chicken sandwich equipped with a lot of crunch of "Mendo's krispies" which appears to be mini morsels of crunchy baked batter. It's a great touch. I ordered the chimichurri steak and applewood smoked bacon that was love at first bite with the marinated red peppers, caramelized onion jam, and herb aioli. For those that weren't paying attention - caramelized. onion. jam. I could eat that like a bowl of cereal every morning! Evidently, this is new to the menu. To the head honcho at MF who decides the menu: Keep this! So good! I had a small side of spicy dijon potato salad. No joke on the spice! I appreciate when a place puts "spicy" in a description and goes full spicy. Not those lame "oh we find some mild salsa and mixed it in" attempts that I unfortunately come across more often than not. Maybe it was a California thing??? If the seasonal soup is butternut squash, you are in for a genuinely delectable treat. I love butternut squash soup and it's a hard recipe to not be repeatedly successful with. I will give MF the thumbs up by saying theirs is one of the best versions I've ever tasted. I'm a fan of the blue sky decor. I'm a fan of the bright lighting. I'm a fan, period. I cannot wait to come back and try more of what they serve. My compliments to the chefs! read more

This is truly my favorite place for a quick and healthy lunch. I've been coming to this location since it opened and the service is always fantastic, the restaurant itself is clean and the wait is never very long. My go-to order is the half sandwich and soup special, I get the vegan bahn mi + whatever seasonal soup is available. My fiance orders the Not So Fried Chicken sandwich + chips. We love the rotation of juices, this summer they have pineapple tajin lemonade which tastes just like pineapple chile candy we grew up eating - delicious. I would knock a half star just because the corn chowder was better last year than this year but otherwise this place always hits the spot! read more

My favorite place for lunch! When ever I forget to pack a lunch this is my go to place. I love that you can order online and schedule to pickup your order, it's so convenient. I always order online so I can't really say much about the customer service. You can't really go wrong with anything you order. I love everything that I've tried especially the Thai mango salad. I highly recommend getting the rainbow side salad. It's so good, the perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. I think about it all the time. Pro tip if you order online they have a 5 off 15 coupon. If you're in the area and looking for a place to get lunch I highly recommend this place. read more
Since I'm a creature of habit, I always order the chicken pesto caprese sandwich for my main, and the spicy curried couscous for my side. They are consistently good! If you're a fan of savory and sweet flavors, give the chicken pesto caprese a try. The employees are always pleasant, and they do not skimp on flavor and serving sizes. I don't know how they do it, but their sandwiches are consistently full of flavor which doesn't happen often at other fast causal sandwich restaurants. read more

I haven't had a sandwich this good in so long! We had no expectations coming into this place, but we decided to give something new a try. We came in and ordered to go on a slow night and the man behind the counter was so friendly! The restaurant was super clean and bright. They have fresh lemonades in place of soda (the mint pomegranate is my favorite). I went back for lunch today and could tell they were very busy with to go orders but even though it took a little longer, the staff was still very kind, (they gave me my lemonade on the house!) and that can make the wait not so bad! So be aware, they can get very busy during lunch, but it's worth it in my opinion, i already can't wait to go back and try something new again! read more

Mendo is hands down one of my favorite places to eat. I always get the vegan banh mi and it's always delicious. There was one time that I found a piece of chicken stuck to my sandwich, and when I talked to the manager they were super apologetic and gave me a free meal coupon along with replacing my sandwich. It's saying something if a vegan is willing to give a place another try/go so often after experiencing cross contamination like that lol, but it was over a year ago and hasn't happened again since :) The way they handled it also played a big part in me coming back; the staff here is always so sweet and helpful! read more
Such a cute and happy place to grab a lighter meal! I always leave Mendocino feeling satiated and guilt free They have a variety of interesting flavors that really tickle your taste buds. I love the decorations inside this place! It's very unique and pretty! They have a diverse menu. Lots of international and unique flavor options, which surprised me given the name. I got the pesto chicken sandwich with a side of curry cauliflower couscous and a lemon cookie. The food was fresh and everything was very flavorful! I would get this again BUT there are several other things I must try first! The young Asian guy behind the counter was so very polite and helpful! Mendocino Farms was indeed created by foodies, for foodies. I am so disappointed I didn't discover Mendocino Farms earlier. Food: "Not so fried chicken": 11/10 I'm not a sandwich person, but since this was the recommended "Foodie Favorite", I gave it a try. The chicken was moist and delightfully cold against the warm, toasted ciabatta. The crispy bits layered at the bottom of the sandwich made eating the sandwich FEEL like you were biting into a fried chicken sandwich and added a much-needed crunch to keep the texture of the sandwich interesting. The mustard pickle slaw wonderfully provided acid and freshness to cut through the denseness of the chicken and ciabatta. This sandwich comes with a side of either tangy mustard barbeque sauce or mustard pickle remoulade, and I tried the mustard pickle remoulade. The remoulade was tasty, but this is a sandwich that can stand confidently on its own without any extra remoulade or sauce, since it already has a saucy slaw to add moisture to the sandwich. Spicy Curried Couscous: 6/10 The couscous was alright. It has a slightly spicy kick to it and tasted like the standard powdered curry seasoning you can get at the grocery store. I wasn't too impressed with the flavor profile of this side. Green juice (one of their house-made beverages): 11/10 You know how green juices are often leafier, vegetable-y, or bitter? And you pay $7 or $8 for a cup? This ain't that. This juice is more on the sweet side, just how I like my green juices. It's exactly what I want when I want a green juice. So next time I'm craving a green juice, I'll stop by Mendocino Farms instead of a juice place. Atmosphere: 10/10 The interior is SO cute. Great for a casual gathering. Decor is light and airy, and the seating area is spacious and comfortable. Service: 10/10 The staff were extremely friendly and helpful with menu recommendations. read more
