I really like Chick-fil-A but all locations are not created equal. This particular location on Smokyhill Rd. is often out of large cups, makes drink orders incorrectly never has the double cup holders and gives out incorrect orders frequently. The poor kids that work there probably take more than their fair share of complaints because the manager doesn't know how to order sufficient inventory for the store. I've never left a review on Yelp, but it's time. I'm literally obsessed with Chick-Fil-A as a restaurant. But this Chick-Fil-A is terrible compared to others. We come by a couple times per week, and they leave things off the order nearly 100% of the time, or gets things completely wrong. Tonight my husband worked late, I had a rough night with kids, and we just wanted a couple chicken sandwich meals. Well... we had a whole sandwich left off the order, and the other sandwich wasn't even CLOSE to right (grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce and tomato on the side... instead of a spicy chicken sandwich no pickle add cheese). And of course since we got our meal only a handful of minutes before closing, they'd turned off the grills and couldn't fix the wrong sandwich. They did manage to find the one they'd left off. But by the time my husband got home, everything was cold. Just so frustrating. Giving 2/5 instead of 1/5 because they do try to make it right. But I'm tired of the free sandwich cards.... 55 minutes to spend $18 on a chicken sandwich and an 8 piece nuggets. That was insane. The line was literally backed up to Smokey Hill Rd and when I got to the window there were at least three teens just talking to each other while six others ran frantically around them. I never thought I'd ever have Chick-fil-A get my order wrong! Tonight was the night and I'm bummed. I ordered a Cobb salad and ordered the avocado dressing - they gave me ranch. I also ordered a large fry and there was maybe 8 fries in the container. It looked like they put a medium batch into a large container. THEN i ordered 3 sauces for my favorite fries and none arrived with my order. 0. 0 sauces. So unfortunate. No bueno! Okay I know it's a chain restaurant but I love this place so much. Breakfast is great and so is the main menu. This location is amazing as well. The staff here are always super nice and make your experience a great one every time you come in. They even come by and check on you to see how your are doing or if you need anything like extra sauces or a refill. The remodel they did is awesome too. The drive through is great and I love the new awnings and the inside is nice and refreshed. I love this location and I'm glad I have a great one near me to go to. read more

"I need a drink carrier, please" amount of shakes!!. "I'm gonna need to make it, 2 separate orders" amount of shakes. "Gonna need extra napkins and one more drink carrier" amount of shakes. Like 9 freaking shakes amount of shakes. "No problem" the dude in the drive through says. ...Now... this is where it begins. "No problem", what he really meant to say, is that, "hey guys, I'm a slick one and I'm gonna take the 40 cash for your 8 shakes and then swipe Mr Peppermint in the passenger seat for the full amount of shakes and then call it a day. Check your drawers, your probably a little "extra thick". But wait... there's more.... I Get to the window, after dealing with, cool guy thick jacket in the drive through, and they cannot make the shakes extra thick. Bummer, I was really looking forward to an extra thick shake and my cheeks hurting. Also they are out of peppermint flakes. Another bummer, I was really looking forward to my extra thick minty Christmas experience. So now I'm leaving the drive through with 9 shakes that I paid for twice and a shake I never really wanted in the first place. Spotted a sign for this Chick-fil-A on the interstate headed south towards Colorado springs. It was about a 3/4 mile diversion but it was worth it. it must have been 20 cars in line but this franchise has five or six people using remote devices to help you take your orders while you're in your car. And while I understand that mistakes happen, I hope someone understands one's frustration trying to console an 11 year old bc they only get fries and a drink . When I called the store the shit manager offered for me to drive all the way back to this location which is extremely inconvenient and places complete blame on me as the consumer. The two options both require me to go out of my way to visit a location who essentially stole from me. When I asked for my money back I assumed that would be no issue but was promptly advised that is against company policy without my form of payment in front of him?????? Again, this is not my problem but seemingly to fix this mistake me as the consumer must jump trough hoops to get my money back for an item I did not receive. Can someone please explain to me why if y'all have all my data stored in your application to include my form of payment, would I need to drive all the way back to your location. Chick-fil-A East Smokey Hill: Avoid Until COVID-19 Crisis is Over Historically I always had a good experience at this Chick-fil-A location. However my last visit at Chick-fil-A was terrible. I hope this was a Black Swan event related to COVID-19. I personally will avoid Chick-fil-A at this location at least for a few months. This is what I observed. 1) Ordering online did not expedite the order pick-up process. 2) Command and control was weak and there was confusion on my order pick-up. 3) The customer service was bad: staff was inattentive and rude. 4) They did not include sauces with my order. 5) My food ordered was cold. There could be many legitimate reasons why service was bad as a result of the pandemic. I visited many Chick-fil-A establishments across the country. Until my last visit to East Smokey Hill, I never had a bad experience at Chick-fil-A. read more

Customer service at its very best. I went through the drive-through of this establishment close to their closing time. Upon arrival at home, I ate the fries and proceeded to eat my entreè only to find out that I'd been given the incorrect order. I should have known something was wrong when the person who took my order said she couldn't hear me well (it was a windy evening) and when I drove up to the window the two teens looked surprised that I had requested both honey mustard and the Chick-Fil-A signature sauce. You see, I ordered a nugget meal but was given a sandwich instead... So I found out when I got home. I called the following morning (they had closed for the night by time I realized the error) and asked to speak with a manager. It so happened that the person who answered the phone was a manager. I explained what happened to her (Manager Kate) and much to my surprise she was very congenial and not aggressive at all. I had fully expected to be asked to return to the store with my receipt in hand but Kate didn't do that at all. She very kindly apologized sincerely and said she'd be happy to replace my order. All I needed to do was provide my name and phone number and she said she put the info into their system so I could return to the restaurant anytime within the next 30 days and I'd get a free replacement for my meal... Even the exact drink I ordered the first time around. She didn't make me feel like the mistake was my fault or try to insinuate that I might have been trying to get a free meal... She didn't even ask about who might have made the mistake. She just took control of the situation, made things right, and earned a lifetime customer in the process. read more
