Worst Chick-Fil-A I have ever been to in my life. Experience was God awful. Customer service was God awful. Food was also cold yet I was one of two people in there. I was in line behind one gentleman, looking at the menu to see what I wanted to order, when the gentleman stepped to the side and told me to go in front of him. I hadn't been paying much attention until I walked up to order, but then noticed him putting his card away and walking out to leave shaking his head. Turns out: all he wanted was a sprite and his card declined. The sprite was already made sitting on the counter. ANY other Chick-fil-a would have given the man the sprite out of generosity and kindness, as that is what CFA is founded on. Yet the people working here showed no kindness, grace, patience, etc.. Everyone working there was ill, impolite, and just the outright opposite of what CFA stands for. I tried to buy the man's sprite, but as I turned around with it he was already in his car reversing out of his parking spot. Chick Fil A founders would be disgusted that this establishment carries their name and reputation just to offer the exact opposite of what they believe in as a company. F this place. read more

There has been a degradation of the Customer Service with this location. While the food quality seems to as before, I have experienced inacuracies in 3 of my last 5 orders. I also noticed that the usual friendliness and quick service that I have come to expect from the Chic-fil-A staff is noticably diminished. The Richmond Road Chick-fil-A has changed its telephone behavior. They now have 2 options, speak to catering or wait for someone to answer the phone. The latter choice goes unanswered. I thought they might have been interested that the President and Governor Youngkin both ordered that flags be flown at half-staff starting on Monday, 4/21/25. I even tried calling the 800 number but when I did not wish to leave my phone number the operator cut me off abruptly after I'd voiced my concern. Ok here goes... To answer a previous reviewer who commented on how cold it was... There's a little trick - it's called, "If we blow the AC reeeally high, people will eat faster and or take it to go, therefore freeing up seats so we can make more money". It's a real thing - so there you go... The chicken is USUALLY pretty good. If it's hot - even better. The tenders and nuggets - ditto. The waffle fries? Eeew! They are always undercooked and flimsy. They should be golden and slightly crispy on the outside. The last time I got a waffle fry like that was in Rockville, MD when they just opened a location in 1988. No refills on soda (the cheapest drink in fast food). They give you a cup of ice with some soda in it. There's more cup and ice. Stick to the chicken - it's really why your there anyway. This past weekend was my first visit to this Chick-fil-a up 29. We were coming back from checking out the huge Goodwill that took over Gander Mountain's space, and it was lunch time and a chicken sandwich sounded perfect. I didn't want to get the toddler out of the car after just strapping him in, so I opted for the drive-thru, but I figured it would take a while because I could see the line wrapping around the restaurant. We knew what we wanted, we pulled up to the end of the line, and then I see 4 Chick-fil-a employees outside with menus and what appeared to be some sort of hand-held computer ordering device. One of them walked up to our car. Before we could even finish stating our order he had us pull way up because the cars in front of us had already sped away due to the other employees with hand held devices helping them! So we finished ordering with him and then scooted forward a few feet to pay another employee who was waiting in a little booth. Then we pulled forward to the window and Voila! about five minutes! We had our hot chick-fil-a in our car and were driving away. This is why people keep coming back to Chick-fil-A. Not only because the sandwiches are bomb, and the chicken is deliciously succulent, but because they get customer service SO RIGHT. Efficiency not even in the same league as other fast food chains. I'm not a huge CFA fan in general (would talk pretty much any other fast food chicken chain). I can tolerate the minis and cookies but not much else. Particularly troubling about this location is that my wife, who loves CFA, has gotten sick off the milkshake-twice. It was so bad she can't stomach the idea of eating it again. They may want to look into the condition of their machine. All that said, if you love CFA, you'll probably be fine here. Just not for us. read more

They make sure everything is clean in a very timely manner, and they have roamers that give you some hand wipes and offer to refill your drink for you. We ordered the original Chick-Fil-A meal, the (new) Spicy Chick-Fil-A meal, an order of the 8 piece Chicken Nuggets with two Sweet Teas! The signature waffle fries that came with the meal, along with the Chick-Fil-A sauce was awesome!!!! This definitely won't be our last time here or the other two location in C'ville. i would give this location zero stars if possible. i was across the street at dollar tree and decided i wanted some waffle fries and mac. i ordered and when i ordered they were extremely rude. i ordered two sweet teas aswell and he asked if i said unsweet and i told him sweet. i get my teas and one is sweet the other unsweet. the teas were warm so i asked for a cup of ice. i asked if i needed to pay (ive never asked for ice before) and he said no. as im walking away they started mocking me. saying i should have known. when i askes them to change my unsweet tea to sweet they gave me 3 packs of sugar and refused to give me a sweet tea. as the guy who waited on me went outside to do drive thru he kept side eyeing me. jonah is his name. he was very very rude. i will NOT be returning. i will stick to my culpeper Chick-fil-a. read more

To this day I still wonder how places like McDonald's and Burger King are still in business. Who would ever go there when you can go to a place like Chick-fil-A? This large chain is so much better than the other ones it amazes me that anybody would choose to eat such poor quality food at the other places. And the management here has done such a great job at teaching their employees what customer service, kindness and being sincere to customers is. They make you feel at home and want to come back. There are so many wonderful options here. My favorite is the spicy chicken sandwich and I always get it with a superfood option. I guess it makes me think I'm eating something a little bit healthy. And while their sweet tea is very good and their lemonade is always sour I've never had anything on the menu that wasn't good for fast food. You won't either. Could NOT use my cash app in the Drive-thur. When I asked the cashier about using my phone to pay. She said "I'll try" then proceeded to try to move the POS reader. Every time I come here the staff is always friendly. I speculate it has something to do with the fact that they are generally happy to be there. The food itself is the typical fanfare of chicken choices such as breaded wings, nuggets, and sandwich options. I tend to prefer their nuggets because they're easier to eat on the go. The chicken dishes tend to be lightly breaded tender pieces that gently pull apart when eating. Yum. Additionally, their soups, salads, and sides are rather good for fast food. The outdoor patio has three shaded tables that make for a pleasant outdoor option on a nice day. In the past we've brought our dogs to join us and the staff seemed okay with our furry friends on the patio. I can't actually say I've ever eaten inside this location but it is often well kept and staff are quick to clean tables. I would definitely come back! read more

I love Chick-fil-A and when I used to work in the shopping center across the street this was a semi regular lunch spot for me ever since they opened this location about twelve years ago. Business has picked up over the years to the point where most days the drive thru line is long from breakfast hour until almost closing and often times especially at lunch and dinner so I highly recommend that you download the Chick-fil-A app and place your order through the app. When they're slammed it cuts your wait time down drastically plus you can earn free food. When I've gone on a lunch break to get food to go (before I ever used or knew about the app or might not have been around yet) it took so long I wondered if going to the mall location would have been quicker and that would have been a few more stop lights instead of just one. The food is always good just like other Chick-fil-A locations, the restaurant is always clean and the staff is always friendly it's just for a fast food place they aren't always fast. If you have a bad experience let them know as the marketing person will try to make up for it. Once again, I highly recommend downloading the app. It works at multiple locations (I would think any location except ones in a theme park or on a college campus). read more

Staff are always genuinely friendly even with the pretentious "my pleasure". Which is a hard habit to break once u leave! Haha But Seriously this is a great location. I get my cow calenders every year from Chick-Fil-A. Attached to the calendar is a "credit card" Chick style that you can register to receive monthy freebies. The employees at this location were so nice. They went out of their way to greet everyone. There was even an employee by the condiment area, helping people. The only "off' detail about this place was the air conditioning not working in the kiddie area (so I didn't climb around on anything since it was too hot). Love the waffle fries! read more

Even though they had technical difficulties making my peppermint shake. they were upbeat, kept the customer in the loop and gracious. They're very misleading when it comes to the curbside pickup option on the app. THEY DONT DO CURBSIDE APPARENTLY... even tho they have marked drive up parking spots and the app tells you that someone is on their way with the food.. I waited 20 min in the parking lot for my food and then eventually waited through the drive thru to see what was going on. Only to find out that you have to come in the store to pick it up. during this time of covid when I didn't want any contact, this upset me. Not to mention our food was cold by time we got it. And the sauces were not in the bag EVEN THOUGH she said they were.. so after driving off, I had to turn around and go back again to get sauce. 45 MINUTES LATER!!!!!! I'm kind of the "really good" or just "never again". Chic Fil a is typically consistent. (Yes I know I called out the fry scraps in sterling) but speed, and consistency is pretty "consistent". Speed was not in the equation at the Charlottesville location. First let me start by saying that the dining room was pretty much empty (most that were there were waiting on their food). Yes, there was a drive up line but this is a single lane not double like busy locations. The person packing the sausage egg and cheese biscuit (yup, that it) even Jokingly (yes jokingly) said "This guy's been waiting eleven and a half minutes" with a slight smirk/laugh. Just a lot of people waiting around and only about 6 people actually eating in. Sorry for the low rating, but like I said.... really good or just not acceptable. First disappointing chick-ful-a visit for me. I pulled into the drive through at 9:40pm. There were 2 cars in the right lane and none in the left lane. (Mind you it wasn't blocked off). After sitting at the menu for 30 seconds an employee comes out and puts cones blocking the left drive through and lets me know the lane is closed but they'll take my order after the car to my right has ordered. After the car to my right pulls through another car pulls up and gets their order taken. I'm in no rush so waiting a few extra minutes doesn't matter. Well 4 more cars pull up and get their orders taken, and I'm still sitting waiting patiently. Finally a sixth car pulls into the right lane and gets their order started. This was at 9:50pm. At 9:51 a tornado warning gets issued. Not even 30 seconds after the warning being issues someone finally gets on the speaker and tells me they cannot take my order due to a tornado warning being issued. (Mind you the car to my right is still ordering). I was neglected for 10 minutes and got nothing. Seems like a lack of communication between employees, or I was forgotten about.
