I am writing to formally complain about an experience I had today, August 13, at the Chick-fil-A location on Killian Road. This morning, I went inside the restaurant and placed a simple breakfast order. My receipt reflects that I ordered the grilled chicken and egg white breakfast entrée. I paid with my card, received my order, and left the restaurant to travel to class. Unfortunately, because I was already running late, I did not check the contents of the bag before leaving. My class is approximately 30 miles from the Killian Road location. Once I arrived and opened my breakfast, I discovered that I had been given a bacon and egg sandwich instead of the item I ordered. I do not eat pork. Because I was attending a four-hour class and had no other opportunity to get breakfast, I removed the bacon and ate the bread and egg so that I would not have to sit through class hungry. I attempted to contact the restaurant as soon as I discovered the mistake, but no one answered the phone. During a break from class, at approximately 11:00 a.m., I called the location again and spoke with a young lady who identified herself as Nylani Coring and stated that she was a store manager. Unfortunately, her response to my concern was extremely disappointing. Rather than acknowledging that I had been given an incorrect order, one of her first questions was whether I had eaten the sandwich. When I explained that I had removed the bacon and eaten the remaining portion because I was already 30 miles away and sitting through a four-hour class, I was told that because I had eaten part of it, I could not receive a refund, gift card, or any other resolution. I found that response unreasonable. The restaurant made the error, I received an item containing pork that I did not order and do not eat, and I was already significantly inconvenienced by the time I discovered the mistake. I should not then be penalized because I chose to eat the portions of the sandwich that I could eat rather than go without breakfast entirely. What concerned me even more was the manner in which the situation was handled. Ms. Coring was dismissive and, in my opinion, unnecessarily rude during the conversation. When I asked for contact information for the individual listed on my receipt who I understood to be the Owner/Operator, I was told that she could not provide an email address and that I would need to contact corporate. She later stated that she was communicating with a Front of House Director regarding my concern, but she also refused to provide that individual's contact information. The call ultimately ended while I was still attempting to discuss the matter. When I attempted to call the restaurant back, my subsequent calls were not answered and went to voicemail. This situation is no longer about the approximately $5 cost of a breakfast sandwich. It is about customer service and how a legitimate concern was handled. I understand that mistakes happen, and receiving the wrong order alone would not have prompted me to submit a formal complaint. However, I did not expect a store manager to respond to a customer in such a dismissive manner over an error made by the restaurant. I have always associated Chick-fil-A with a high standard of customer service, which is why this experience was particularly disappointing. I am requesting that someone from the appropriate leadership team contact me regarding this matter and review both the incorrect order and the way my complaint was handled by store management. Was returning from Columbia today stopped at the Chic-fil-a on Killian Rd. This was between 1:30-2pm (Wednesday). I was only one at counter, but was welcomed by at least 3 employees the second I walked in. Staff member was quick to take my order, gave me the table tower, so my order could be brought to me. I grabbed napkins, and before I sat down another staff member was standing beside me with my order. The food is in my opinion always great at Chic-fil-a. The restaurant was very clean with multiple staff members on the floor cleaning tables. Since it looks like I'll be traveling to Columbia weekly starting in January, I'm sure I'll be returning. read more

We stopped at this Chick-fil-A while traveling. The team member who took my order was polite. Our food came out promptly. The restrooms and inside of the restaurant. I love the touchless trashcan! All in all, the food was reliably good, and what I would expect from a Chick-fil-A. read more

I went inside to order. I was the only one in line and two people were waiting for their order while drive through was very busy. I got up to the counter to place my order and asked very nicely even with a please to have my spicy chicken sandwich to be cooked fresh. I was told "they" are NOT going to do that because of how often they push out the chicken sandwiches. I said I'm willing to wait the extra time for my cooked fresh chicken sandwich. I was told again "they" are NOT going to do it. I asked for her to "just inform" them in the back. She said again "they" are NOT going to do it. I cancelled my entire order and walked out. If I'm paying MY food with MY money and not your money asking you to make an item that you're going to make anyway, why can't I have it cooked fresh? If I am asking, I'm asking for a reason. That reason is I've had my fair share of not so fresh chicken sandwiches especially when you go in the drive through, which is why I went in and was willing to wait for my cooked fresh chicken sandwich. I'm so done with people and their slack service. If I'm going to pay for an overpriced sandwich at least make it fresh for a paying customer. Chick-fil-A could've accommodated my request. read more

Chick-fil-A breakfast is life. Chicken sandwich and chicken mini! We tried the frosted coffees but may be too sweet for some. We've had terrible results though sadly with ordering delivery from several Chick-fil-A locations including this one. They always seem to forget 2-3 items which is mind blowing since they have their drive through run so accurately and efficiently. read more

I stopped by here last night and the line was sooo long! While looking at the line, I decided to hop in it. They had this process down to a science and I was in awe! There were two ladies that were out there taking orders. As they took the orders, we would then continue around to get to the window, there was another booth there where a gentleman was taking monies by the names on the orders. After passing him was the window to get your food. The drive thru attendant, verified our names, handed us our food and we were gone. My daughter and I stopped again this morning. It was busy, but we experienced the same customer service. It is amazing how well Chick-fil-a has this process down to a science. They are a great establishment! read more

This Chic -fil-A is the worst I ever visited. After numerous errors in our order we have decided not to stop here anymore. Some of the errors were being given kale salad instead of side salads, salads that were missing chicken, chicken mini that were hard and stuck to the box. Forget about calling to complain because no one answers the phone and do not return messages. I did go inside one time to speak with female manager who seemed to careless. Traveling to the beach for our Super Bowl Family trip we spotted for some chickfila. I'm so glad we spotted at this location because we met the absolute sweetest chickfila employee Julie B. Chickfila is intentional when choosing their staff, and Julie B exuberates the values they want to share with their customers. She was so nice, and always wore a smile with every customer she came into contact with. I told her that day that I appreciated her polite personality and had nice she is to everyone. Unfortunately some Chickfilas are starting to slip in this area, but it was certainly refreshing to met Julie B and be reminded of what everyone ENJOYS and APPRECIATES the most about Chickfila. The service here is exceptional- one of the staff overheard my sister say she wished she had ordered an iced coffee instead, and brought her one immediately. The service was so disappointing. I ordered two regular chick-fil-a deluxe sandwiches and only one was placed in the bag. I had to go out of my way to ask for the one not in the bag and the manager apologized which to me is the bare minimum, but i didn't receive anything for the inconvenience. And on top of that one of the sandwiches had a spicy patty! If i wanted that i would've ordered it. This is by far the worst Chick-fil-A I've been to. We got food on 4/18 around 220 in the day to go (we were traveling). The fries tasted old, the nuggets and strips tasted cold like they had been sitting all day. The milkshake even had to be remade due to something being in it. read more

This has been by far the worst Chick-fil-A I have ever eaten at. I created a mobile order and in the instructions asked for my fries well done along with my chicken sandwich well done, extra salt on fries and extra pickles . After waiting 15 min for my order, it was wrong. I brought it up to the manager and explained what was wrong and he said he would take care of it. After waiting an additional 15min my food came out and this time the fries had no salt on them, I had 1 pickle and my sandwich and the sandwich itself was a what you would expect to find a a McDonald's. Chick-fil-a has always been my go to and I have always (until now) been impressed with their service. So today they give me someone else's order which is forgivable because, hey they are 99.9% on point other wise, but when I call to let them know, the only remedy is to come back tomorrow at breakfast time to get my 3 chicken biscuits. Not ok. This is directly from the manager at the direction of the operator (owner) I wouldn't have an issue if my son could eat the eggs I was given accidentally but he has an allergy therefore I'm out of luck. So, note to Operator: When your people make a mistake, go out of your way fix it the right way and insure satisfaction. Compensate me for the inconvenience you caused me, my time, like yours is worth something. Don't let your standards slip. read more

When I stopped in, it was sort of an "off peak" time so I had to wait a while for my order. But I would rather wait & get freshly cooked food than get lukewarm stuff that has been sitting there under warming lights for a while. Employees were very nice & restrooms were clean. Usually I don't have an issue with this Chic Fil A. I decided to try something new, the spicy chicken sandwich meal. I put my chicken filet in the microwave to heat it up a bit as it had cooled off on the ride home. When I took it out of the microwave I noticed something shiny on the end of the meat. I thought that maybe I heated it in a bit too much and the oil was just heavy. Upon closer examination I discovered that there was a piece of plastic cooked in between the crusting and the filet. I pulled it out and it was in there quite a bit. This was extremely disappointing and absolutely unacceptable!!! Please examine your products before serving to customers. read more

It's a new one so it has the new setup for the kids, which is great because it involves the smaller toddlers more. I'm vegetarian so their food for me is fruit cup, waffle fries, and the superfood salad. But all of that listed is good, and they have organic juice for the little. As all chik fil a's I've experienced, the high chairs have wheels so you can put your little in it while you wait, lots of sanitizing wipes, an in door play place, and a plastic place mat your kiddo can go crazy on and still have easy clean up. Lost a star because they're still meat based so I just can't. But its a great place to go enjoy a Diet Coke and let the kids' energy out a bit when its raining, cold or too hot outside and you don't want to drive to Columbiana's little play place. Also, I've heard a rumor kids get free ice cream. Never tested it though. read more
