I stopped by Chick-fil-A for breakfast (they serve breakfast until 10:30 AM) and ordered a chicken biscuit with strawberry jelly and double hashbrowns. The chicken biscuit was really good. The biscuit was nice and fluffy with that slightly crumbly texture and a buttery taste. The chicken patty was fried perfectly crispy on the outside and well-cooked inside. My only complaint is that the chicken portion felt a little small for the price. I was disappointed with the hashbrowns. Since I ordered double, I was expecting them to be fresh and crispy, but they were a bit soggy and not fully cooked to that golden crisp I like. Next time, I'll definitely ask for them extra crispy. As far as drinks, coffee comes with the meal, but there's an up-charge for orange juice or fountain soda, which was a little disappointing. I ended up ordering everything à la carte. Every once in a while we would have something missing from our orders, and developed the habit of thoroughly looking through our meals. Great experience at Chick-fil-A today. The place was packed and our mobile orders were ready in minutes (seconds?!?) and available when we walked in. This place is always so clean and organized, even full of people (and kids). The staff is friendly and calm. I tried the kale salad side and it was delicious. I had a very frustrating experience at this Chick-fil-A. When I pulled up, the employee taking my order was using an iPad that overheated, and my order was lost. Another employee had to come and retake it. I paid, received my food, and drove home--only to find that part of my order was missing (a chicken sandwich deluxe, no tomato). I then had to drive all the way back to the store. I explained the situation and also pointed out that by the time I returned home again, the rest of my food would be cold and inedible. The manager asked for a receipt, which was attached to the original bag I had already left at home. Because I didn't have it, he refused to replace the missing sandwich. When I asked about replacing the now-cold food, I was told I would need to bring it back. It's unreasonable and embarrassing to expect a customer to drive back home, grab the food, and return again just to fix a mistake that wasn't theirs. I understand policies exist, but there should be some level of basic customer service and common sense. For a company of this size, this level of inflexibility is surprising and disappointing. 3-3-23 7:45AM Very surprised by the low three star rating on Yelp, at this location as it was my first time here and I have been to other locations to compare it to. Usually in the area on the weekends and the line backs up on Federal Highway. This visit I came for two reasons I was hungry for breakfast before going to work and second I always order on the app and therefore not only earn rewards but get random awards that are time sensitive. This one was for a breakfast biscuit and chicken absolutely Free! So I redeemed on the app and picked up inside. Once inside it is a very clean and beautiful restaurant. Of course it was empty due to being so early in the morning. The sandwich was fresh and delicious and they even put two napkins for me in the bag. We don't have a chick-fil-A where we live so anytime we travel the family likes to get it. We ordered through Uber eats, to deliver to our hotel because we have no transportation. I ordered a salad specific to the dressing it comes with. When we received our order there was no dressing and no fork? We called the customer service at this location and was told it's an Uber Eats problem? I don't know how this is a problem of Uber Eats? They pick up the placed order and deliver it and that is what they did. So I paid $13 for a dry salad that I just picked the chicken off. read more

I'll say it again for anyone listening. The location in Oakland Park is the absolute worst run spot I can find. The logistics of this place boggles the mind. They have so many employees just standing around in the drive thru I can't wrap my brain around it. I consistently order a dressing packet with my meal (pay for the up charge) and they are 0/5 on times it's been in my bag. I even asked the person who took my order to bet me if it would be in the bag. I knew I couldn't lose. When handed my food, today, I asked the lady "please stand by so I can check for my dressing bc they always leave it out" (she rolls her eyes, sighs and pops a hip to the side) wouldn't you know!? No dressing. After pulling forward and asking the "shift leader" for it she had to verify I paid for it. 5-star food, 5-star service, 1-star for past offensively anti-gay corporate stance (yep that last bit lost you 2 stars from what would have been 5). The only fast food I'll regularly eat, this location in particular is terrific. The local franchisee was in the forefront of convincing C-f-a corporate to drop its public anti-gay-rights stance, but that past corporate stance is still highly offensive, and was never apologized for nor renounced. First the good/great, then a bit of the bad/ugly: C-f-a has a well-deserved reputation as the Target of the fast food world...sparkling clean facilities, friendly competence and a slightly premium price for a classier experience. This location in particular seems to hire the nicest, happiest cashiers I have ever seen in a fast food place. Food here is always tasty (personal favorite is the market salad, chopped grilled chicken with lettuce/nuts/fruit/veggies). Ambience here is fantastic even by high C-f-a standards. Every table has a little vase of fresh flowers at this location. Now Popeye's makes a fantastic spicy chicken sandwich, but you'll be lucky if the table's not cracked in half, much less having flower vases on it LOL. Even the mensroom is classy and well-designed. Out front there's a nice pergola. Driveways lead not only to the main highway, but to a quiet back street and to the Walgreens next door. The attention to detail and the friendliness of the staff speaks to the truly stellar franchisee here. His personality infuses the place. When asked, he assured me he disagrees with the past corporate stance (from the family that owns the brand) of donating to anti-gay-marriage, anti-gay-rights causes and gay-conversion-therapy groups. He helped me resolve my moral dilemma of liking their food but contributing to their dubious coffers. In the dark days of 2012 or so, I would be more likely to picket at C-f-a than go inside. With the passage of time and full equality of marriage rights for gay folks, I've mellowed somewhat. C-f-a has also mellowed somewhat, dialing back on the anti-gay donations after discovering bigotry is very bad for business. A full-blown corporate apology would be a good thing. On Tuesday, May 17, 2022, I drove 5.3 miles to buy chicken strips, passing multiple restaurants I could have chosen. I was so excited to taste the tenderness of the strips dipped in the special Chick-fil-A sauce, only when I reached my destination, the chicken strips were under half their size, to the point I thought I ordered from a kids' menu. My customer satisfaction expectation deflated the air from my tires. I speak assured in my experience because when I received my bag through the drive-thru, after opening it to check my order, I asked, "what's this?" The thing that got me was the reaction of the employee who looked at it and was caught off guard by the size of the strips, but what really put a flat in my experience was after the first employees' supervisor looked at it, they did nothing. Driving on the flat tire of expectation, this should have never left the kitchen. "Chick-fil-A is one of the largest American fast food restaurant chains and the largest specializing in chicken sandwiches." How is it possible to specialize in chicken sandwiches without the main ingredient? This deflated experience reminds me of Wendy's 1984 "Where's the Beef?" commercial. read more

Something about this location really rubs me the wrong way. Everything is a problem here and the food often tastes stale. I've never experienced a chick fil a with such low standards honestly. For example, one visit I asked for my food well done so it could be hot, they said they don't allow that. I've been to other locations like Davie and it's not an issue. The food usually comes out cold here so it's a pity. Today I asked for a lemonade refill and the workers literally laughed in my face. Now granted, I was in the drive thru. To clarify, I've done this at other locations and it's never been a problem. If the situation is comical to you, laugh when I leave at least. Once again, other locations do it happily if I said I was recently there. This is the closet location to me unfortunately. This has to be the worst chick-fil-a I've ever eaten in Florida. Very dirty when you walk in, my husband got a spicy chicken sandwich and there was HAIR WRAPPED AROUND ON THE SANDWICH! The tables weren't very clean, the trash can we're OVERFLOWING with trash (see picture). The workers were just all standing, talking, and laughing at the cashier. Sometimes do not even speak if they are handing you your food. I used to always count on their food at every location but even that has slipped.
