Sorry to say but if I'm driving, I won't be coming to this Chick-fil-A. What a disaster zone! I had to swing around the building one full circle to find the drive thru entrance. That's after navigating 2, 4 way stop signs. Very busy place for all that. I pull around for the kids to take my order, they were running around in the grass. Took my order but not my name so second kid verifying order told me my name wasn't in the order... so ok. What can I do to help, here? I repeated my order, he marked it and I went through. Got my meal timely at the window. There's a stop sign at the end of the drive thru. I stopped. There was a man in a car to my left. He didn't have a stop sign but he was stopped. I waited a short couple seconds and with no movement from him I took my left and that man rolled his window down just cussing me out! Why stop your car if I'm the one at the stop sign? I'm literally writing this right after I opened my bag of food. I ordered an 8-piece nugget meal with a sweet tea and to my surprise I see a half carton of fries! Its like you pay $8 for nuggets, a drink and 3 fries. Im shocked that they would even give me my bag like that. Normally you'd see fries overflowing into the bag if you saw a half carton, but nope. My tea was watered down and wasn't sweet at all. This location has been slacking lately and I don't know if its because of the holidays or just rushing. 5/17/21 Looks like I hit this place more than once today. After my second dose of the Pfizer Vaccine, I was hungry and decided to try out this Chick Fill-A I saw on April 25th. The make who greeted me was polite and friendly enough, but the order came out wrong in the end. The ticket I saw was correct, but the sandwich makers added pickles to my order and left out the extra cheese I was charged for. When I stopped at the window, the fries were given to me, but they were a medium size. I must say the sizing of fries carts has changed a bit. I informed the ladies I asked for a large and they fixed the problem. I looked at my ticket and saw my order taker put me down for a medium when I said large. No matter, no matter, the situation was taken care of. My sandwich; however, wasn't ready. I was asked to park my car and someone would bring my order. Sounds like Something I have heard before. No matter, The sandwich should be nice, hot and fresh then. This thought in my mind was all true, but the sandwich was incorrect when the lady brought me the sandwich. Returning to the line again, Samuel greeted me and found out that my order was wrong. I wasn't annoyed, but I did ask if he could fix this problem. He did. The large fries and correct sandwich are now in my car. The incorrect items can not be brought back into the restaurant. Someone else will eat this food. This Chick-fil-A location seems to always be super packed! Located off of Wellington, this chain offers their classic sandwiches, wraps, salads, breakfast items (chicken with a biscuit), and even desserts. My favorite item to get are the nugs with the Chick-fil-A sauce. However, this time around, I wanted to try out a newer hack/trend that's been posted on social media - the Chick-fil-A sandwich in which you dress the chicken patty with the Chick-fil-A sauce and the Sriracha sauce. Due to the uncertain times, only the drive-thru was open, but the staff keep them moving along. I found it interesting that after you pick up your order from the window, there is a 'sauce' station set up where you pick up any of the sauces that you need. One qualm was that there are different 'entry' points, so some cars tend to budge knowingly/unknowingly, which can increase the queue. I've been going to this CFA for years. This location has always been the model for what all of the other CFA restaurants should be run like. Until recently. They can't get it right. On numerous occasions over the past six months they've messed our order up. Because their drive through line is absolute chaos now, and their dining room was previously closed, it took a ridiculous amount of effort to get things fixed. So many times I just let it go. So the past few times they've cut down on their number of drive through lines and it's an even bigger mess. Two times in a row now our curbside orders took over 15 minutes to be brought out. I didn't realize that the dining room was open or I would have risked death in the parking lot to go in and grab it since it was taking so long. So today, after multiple mixups over the past few months I decided to say something. The employee told me that's just the way it is. She told me I should have gone through the ridiculous drive through line to get the order. This is after I chose curbside as my option. I think that I'll go elsewhere until they get their problems worked out. Not typical top-notch CFA service we've been trained over the years to expect. read more

Came around 9:30pm for some lemonade and ice cream with strawberry toppings. Made the order, they took the order, we paid. Went to the window. Kind staff gave us our prize. But I noticed there was no strawberries with our ice cream. So I asked, if we can get what we paid for. But they said they don't have any left. So then.. why did you take the order and the 30 cents? We didn't ask for a refund because it's 30 cents. Went here for a quick dinner this evening - this is a very new Chik-Fil-A, located in the Virginia Gateway retail complex. Man o' man was this place busy! Actually, the entire Virginia Gateway complex was hopping! You sure can't tell that we are going through an economic downturn based on the level of activity in Gainesville! Every restaurant - every store was really busy! I had a bit of a hard time finding a parking space. I had to park across the street and walk over. The Drive-Thru had a long line of cars waiting to order -I walked in and the place was packed! Even so, they quickly were moving the lines - I ordered the 8 piece chicken nugget meal with a Diet Coke. I asked the manager who took my order if the place was always like this. He replied that ever since they opened it's been a regular zoo. I snagged both the Buffalo sauce and the yummy mustard dipping sauces - and sat down to wolf. Delicious! read more

Was in the area with my son (toddler) and we decided to get lunch here. This place was super busy (aren't all chic-fil-as always busy lol). I ordered the spicy chicken mean and ordered my son the nuggets meal. Food was brought to our table in a timely manner. Everything tasted good and was fresh. Also when we ordered the food, the cashier asked how many sauce packets we needed. My toddler loves bbq sauce and places like McDonald's are sometimes stingy on sauces. Chic-fil-a didn't seem to be stingy for the sauces. So we received a book with the kids meal and I asked my son if he wanted the book or ice cream. Of course he said ice cream, so I went in line and asked to trade in the book for ice cream. They were happy to swap it out (I heard they do this but never tried it). They gave me a table identifier and we went back to our table. An employee brought us our ice cream and asked if we needed a spoon for it. I said, "yes but it's okay I'll go get it." The employee then said, "oh ok already up and I can go get it. You can stay here and watch your son." She was very nice and I'm glad she offered to get us a spoon so I didn't have to leave my son to get the spoon. Love their food but love their customer service even more! read more

Don't bother. Drive the extra distance to Haymarket. The manager, Ryan, is the epitome of insincerity and lack of concern over their downhill operations and repeated screw ups. Customer service, satisfaction, efficacy and delivery of food in a timely manner is clearly not a concern or even worth an apology for multiple mistakes to the order -- or waiting a half hour in the parking lot as everyone drives off with their food and given my order. Very unpleasant experience at this location and fed up with the wrong order; waiting 30 minutes for my food they gave to someone else; insincerity; lack of caring to even try to make it right and treating me like I'm the problem for making an inquiry or informing them there is a mistake. This location gives a bad name to what the brand otherwise stands for. Haymarket, Leesburg, Fredericksburg and Richmond locations all deliver with excellency and don't keep having issues almost every time I give the Gainesville location a shot. They clearly don't give a damn about their multiple mistakes and bad service, so go to a location that does until this one gets their act together. Avoid and enjoy a dining experience elsewhere. Note to Ryan "the manager": you could have responded with an apology and acted like you cared. You could have taken a lot of measures instead of your plastic sneer; vacant eyes and lack of words or actions. Your manners and how you spoke to me are disgusting. You could have asked if I was okay and expressed desire to make it right. You chose to do nothing resembling good customer service. You don't even strike me as someone that will try to learn from these bad reviews that all mention your name. You have a choice to elevate, serve yourself and your customers. May this be the good part of what is a disappointment and total waste of my time & energy as I tried to get food after working all day with no lunch. Worst Chick Fil A I've ever been to across a dozen states. Service was abysmally slow. Not one "my pleasure!" or friendly face. Long lines don't slow other CFAs down, they keep it moving and I never hesitate to get in a long drive thru line-- not here though. Our line sat at a stand still for over 10 minutes. I can't believe they remodeled this place and shut it down for months and still didn't make it a double drive through. Will wait for Warrenton or Culpeper CFAs on our frequent road trips now, would rather go out of the way than stop here again and lose half an hour. This is truly a team of miserable folks better suited for night shift at a McDonald's, never have I ever encountered such a bunch of rude individuals at a CFA. The entire team -- from order to handing over the food, to the sauce guy at the curb who left their post leaving cars without condiments since the drive thru didn't provide the correct ones -- all of them are just plain miserable. And the cherry on top of it all was my 4 piece strip meal only had 3 pieces in it...it'll be MY PLEASURE to never eat at this disgrace to the CFA franchise again. read more

I love Chick-fil-A and this is the most convenient location for me. Since Covid times they have changed their structure to three Drive thru lanes. There is always someone there directing to help ease congestion. I have had no issues with orders. They sometimes forget the sauces but that's about it. Even with 3 lanes, this location gets packed so it's often a 10 minute wait on average. read more

I get Chick-fil-A pretty often and since it's the closest location to where I live, frequent the Gainesville store. I realize that 2020 has been challenging due to Covid-19, but it seems that for reasons unknown, they have real issues getting orders correct. This morning, I ordered a breakfast burrito with no meat. I've learned from numerous times previously to check before leaving. I checked, and my burrito didn't have any hash browns. I told the server that I had ordered it with no meat, but didn't exclude the hash browns. He asked that I pull aside, so I did. After a brief wait, I received my second burrito and yes, you guessed correctly. No hash browns... I pulled up to the traffic director to let him know. At that point, he informed me that they didn't have any hash browns. After three different trys, I finally found out that they didn't have hash browns! If this was an isolated incident, I would have been more understanding. However, due to numerous times that I've received incorrect orders, I've learned to check BEFORE driving away! Please, please get your act together!!! Oh, and they don't like giving extra jelly! I'm now going to start trying the Haymarket location to see if they can do better.. read more

I was really happy when this place opened. I'm a big fan of Cick-Fil-A. Clean as a whistle and everyone is trained to behave with manners, as you'd expect at any Chick-Fil-A. It's not really that I care about being called sir, or anything like that. There's a certain energy behind the actions of Chick-Fil-A staff that shows me each person recognizes how they are the member of a supporting team. I seem to always get the same thing: Chicken strip salad with Blue Cheese dressing and buffalo wing sauce on the side. YUM! Oh, and I had a free coupon for a chicken sandwich today too. It's always a pleasurable experience here! The food is fresh and tasty. The milkshakes are awesome! The staff is very friendly and I absolutely love the "my pleasure" slogan that they utilize often. The drive thru is super fast and so is order in service. I've never had to wait long for my food. The restrooms are clean and well maintained. Seating inside is plentiful and they have seating outside. I visited on the Friday before Memorial Day and they had lots of painted windows honoring our Military. Flags were on every table and even the poles that guide the cars using drive thru. What more can I say? They hit the mark every time!! *This business is gun carry friendly. read more

They bring your food to you...really? It's been quire sometime since I was last in a Chick-Fil-A. When you 'eat in' they bring your food on a tray. They come by your table and ask, 'how is everything' and 'what can I get you'. They offer to bring you complimentary coffee if you're just waiting around after your meal.
