Mmm I was pleasantly surprised to find a nice halal food restaurant like this in a Manassas strip mall. No shade, Manassas . I'm just saying, who knew ‍? Before going in, I read some Yelp reviews and they were on point. The ambiance is clean, decorated, inviting, with soft lighting. The cashier and cook were quiet but nice. Not shouting or overly excited to chat me up. He was soft spoken, cautiously shy, but nice. Once he realized that I was cool and knew what I wanted, his serious face softened and he opened up. The cook easily smiled. There's no music, just sizzling sounds from the grill. There's a funny message on the bathroom floor the sink needs updating and it needs a nice soap dispenser with quality soap. Other the that, the place is nice. Would be a spot to go on a date. The vibe is grown and sexy, not kiddish like other burger joints. So don't expect crayons on the table and high chairs. Now to the food. I ordered the Chicken Over Rice platter. They plated it quickly. It camed with fresh salad, pita bread, and a few French fries on top . They covered everything with their delicious white sauce. I asked to have the hot sauce on the side bcz I wasn't sure how hot it was. I like spicy but some hot sauces can ruin the dish. Their sauce wasn't too hot, but I'm glad I got it on the side. The chicken was moist, flavorful, well seasoned, marinated, and lightly grilled. Everything was fresh, moist, and piping hot. I could tell the meat was halal bcz it had a fresh chickeny taste. If you know, you know. I ordered extra pita bread. The platter comes with 2 pieces but the extra comes with 4. I'm so full! I took half my platter to go with 3/4 of the extra pita bread. I'll save it for dinner. The platters come with a full tray. If you come for lunch, you'll be stuffed probably sleepy like I am rn. Take the rest home. If you come here starving, you'll leave full and satisfied. I only paid $12 plus $1.50 for extra pita bread. That's a steal in this economy! I hope they don't increase the prices after reading this. First time trying Krave Shack, and I was really impressed with the food. The burgers were some of the best I've had, and the onion rings were perfectly crispy. The flavor of the smash burger was better than just about any burger I've ordered, and I loved that it was a smash burger--two patties didn't feel overwhelming at all. The spot itself was cute, though I wasn't entirely sure about handicap or wheelchair accessibility, as there appeared to be a raised step near most of the seating. Service was friendly but a bit awkward; there wasn't much of a greeting, and the staff were mute until we placed our order. Like he just stood there. I met a friend at Krave Shack for lunch due to the great reviews and it didn't disappoint. I wasn't quite sure what to expect and was pleasantly surprised to learn it's a halal restaurant. The menu is varied, and includes burgers, pita sandwiches, and rice platters. I kept and safe and went with the gyro over rice. It was topped off with chopped lettuce, tomatoes, onions, and tons of sauce (you get to pick which ones). It was all very filling. We were one of a few tables occupied when I visited, but there were a ton of online pick up orders. Overall, great find and good for groups, though tables only got four people. read more

We tried Krave Shack a few weeks back and it was pretty good! We wanted to grab some quick carry-out dinner, so we headed there and ordered at the counter. The inside includes a place to order and tables to sit at. They took our order and we ended up waiting for a full 30 minutes inside. I was a little surprised it took so long. A lot of similar spots usually will need a longer lead time for online pre-orders, but not for those who order in-person. The food itself was very good, with nice portions and fresh ingredients. My husband and I both got the platter meals. The salads didn't have dressing, which I thought was odd, but their white sauce was delicious with the falafel. I enjoyed the fries and they were very crunchy. I ended up actually making two meals of my platter since the portions were so generous. Crave shack is my favorite halal restaurant in Manassas. They only offer fresh meats and ingredients, and the value you get is amazing: delish dishes with large portions at reasonably competitive prices. I am very picky when it comes to lamb meat and this is one of few places that offers some of the best lamb kabob. I had their Lamb gyro over rice on my first visit earlier in the year and recently returned to have their Beef & lamb gyro platter. Mine also had the hot sauce- which I wasn't sure about but that was how it came so I figured why not?! It was the perfect compliment to the white sauce. It added a little bit of spice, but not too much. My partner had the lamb gyro rice bowl ($9.99). He got the sauce on the side because he is not a sauce guy (crazy right??!) He loved every bite, and ate every bit of his bowl. He is British, and apparently Gyro's are a staple in England. He is extremely picky about his meat, and he said this was excellent. We also got a side of falafel ($3.99). It came with a green sauce that has a strong cilantro flavor and was delicious. The falafel was crispy on the outside, soft on the inside and not dry or crumbly at all. Even my partner dipped into the sauce. It was that good. I wasn't feeling a sandwich so I went with the mixed rice plate. It has gyro meat (lamb), chicken, yellow rice, salad (tomato, lettuce, cucumber, and some herbs), pita wedges, some fries (unexpected surprise), and I decided to go white sauce and hot sauce. My wife had the chicken sandwich, and we also got mozzarella sticks. I definitely ordered hungry because although I finished my plate, I probably should have taken some home. The flavors were really good. I took a bite of the chicken sandwich which was very crispy. Mozzarella sticks were done just right (marinara left something to be desired, but that's not a draw for me.) If we were closer, I'd be here quite often. read more

I tried the regular platter which comes with meat, fries, pita and a side salad. I tried the mix option (chicken and lamb) and my friend tried the lamb and beef. The meat was so tasty and flavorful. It came with a side of the hot sauce which was spicy but still really good. There was a generous portion of fries and pita. The side salad came with a vinaigrette that was refreshing. Do note that as they get closer to closing time (11pm when I went) they have less of their menu available.
