Okay the wings were good but I didn't order 40 wings and that's what I got!…read more I ordered 10 wings and 2 orders of chicken fried rice. Instead of them letting me know they ran out, they just sent me 40 wings. You can't just send people the wrong food without an explanation. I'm south Asian and needed some rice yesterday. But if you want to eat whatever they want to give you, this is the place for you lol. The lemon pepper wings were really good though. These wings are mini sized. Each wing has two bites in them. I liked it because it was easy to finish 10 of them. If that's not your thing, skip this place.

You can tell they don't just toss on sauce and call it a day. Every wing is juicy, well-seasoned, and completely satisfying. The burgers are also excellent. Big, flavorful, and done right. Unlike a burger I had here before (a long time ago lol), the ones I've had since aren't messy or falling apart halfway through eating. They're cooked well, hold together nicely, and actually let you enjoy the flavors without wearing half of it home. The sides and drinks take things to another level. The peach tea is smooth, refreshing, and sweet, sweet, sweeeeeeet. It pairs perfectly with the food. And the Cajun ranch cheese fries are incredible. Delicious fries, bold seasoning, creamy ranch, and just the right amount of cheese. They're SO addictive in the best way. On top of the great food, the people here truly make the experience better. Everyone is kind, helpful, and genuinely welcoming. You don't feel rushed or ignored. They take the time to make sure your order is right and that you're enjoying everything. Overall, this spot checks every box. Amazing wings, solid burgers, standout sides, great drinks, and friendly service. It's the kind of place you leave already planning your next visit

It is a seasonal holiday sandwich. The sandwich itself was massive, and the size of my hand. The cranberry was vinegary-- I could tell it was a struggle to make it savory, however cranberry is inspirational because it fits with savory foods being it's naturally sweet self. The turkey didn't satisfy my deep fried needs, but it was sliced nice and thick. The bacon by itself tasted peppered, as it stated. The flavor was not very loud during the entire bite. The mayonnaise was a very nice touch. I probably wouldn't have liked it if they had replaced it with something like honey mustard. The lettuce and tomato was also a nice addition. I also believe this sandwich can be eaten cold or hot. Either way. I give the sandwich a 6/10.

When I got here I groaned a little because there was a long line and I was hungry. However, the line moved quickly and I got my meal in record time. Ordering was easy and the people up front were super nice. Did I mention the food came out quick? It was just as delicious as it was quick. I went with an order of the Asian zing wings. They were sauced up the way I like it and the chicken itself was crispy and juicy. The sauce itself was unique and bold. I had a spoon to eat the leftover sauce on my to-go container. A coworker of mine had the Philly. While I didn't try it I can verify that based off their reaction that it was incredible. There's not many tables to eat here, as this seems more of the place to grab a lunch to go. I see more visits in my future!

Fortunately, the Pastor had just given a sermon on "wait for it" which is exactly what I had to do. Now, let's get to the food.... The greens, pinto beans and Mac n' cheese were all seasoned to perfection. The servings were more than enough. On Father's Day, our original lunch plans fell through after Curry Up, Eugene's Hot Chicken, and Boston Fish Market were all closed. That led us to Thelma's Place, a restaurant that had already been on my list to try, so we decided to give it a shot and ordered our meal to go. The first thing that stood out was the hospitality. Everyone we encountered was warm, welcoming, and genuinely friendly. Around 1:00 p.m., the restaurant wasn't busy, and the service was prompt. From an ambiance standpoint, there isn't much to speak of. The dining room is simple and functional, and the overall presentation could be elevated with improved lighting and a more polished steam table display. Those details may seem small, but they help create stronger first impressions. I ordered the meatloaf with collard greens and candied yams. The portion size was generous, but the meatloaf itself needed more seasoning to really stand out. The collard greens were one of the best items we tried, full of flavor without being overpowering, and the candied yams were solid. The cornbread was also a nice addition. My wife and Bethany both ordered fried chicken wings, even though they weren't listed on the menu. Those turned out to be a hidden gem. They were crispy, golden brown, hot, and cooked just right. For sides, my wife chose cornbread dressing and macaroni and cheese. We both felt the dressing had too much sage, which masked the other flavors. The macaroni and cheese was decent but not memorable. Bethany also enjoyed the collard greens and agreed that the macaroni and cheese was just okay. One disappointment was that they were sold out of oxtails, which would have been my wife's first choice. I was also hoping to see smothered pork chops available but didn't notice them. The pricing felt fair, and the portions offered good value. The biggest takeaway? Order the fried chicken and collard greens. Those were the clear standouts from our visit. I'd also be interested in returning when the oxtails are available, as they appear to be one of the restaurant's signature items. Thelma's Place didn't hit a home run across the board, but the friendly service, good value, and standout fried chicken made it a worthwhile stop. With a few improvements to seasoning and presentation, it has the potential to leave an even stronger impression.

My salad was fresh and my one piece of toast that was cut in half was warm when I got home. The two small bags of Ranch salad dressing was insufficient for the size of salad received. Unfortunately I didn't have any other dressing at home so I tried making something with items in my kitchen. That was a fail! Next time I will either stop at Aldi to buy a bottle of salad dressing or pay for extra at the restaurant. Had I parked and went inside, I would have discovered this issue at the restaurant. Lesson learned. The outside of this location was free of trash and clean. There were several people at the window getting orders together. Unfortunately I lost sight of my credit card and it looked like it was laid down on the counter next to the monitor. I saw when one of them picked my card up and gave me it and my receipt.
