I got a Cobb salad with fried chicken, and it was fine for a fast-casual salad. It had a lot of stuff on it (bacon, cheese, egg, fried onions, tomato, cucumber), so there was lots of variety. Not bad. The dining room is actually pretty nice, with lots of local sports paraphernalia and Indy-related decor. There are lots of different places to sit, from booths to tables. Probably the best part of the meal was the ice that they offer in the soft drink area. It's the best kind of ice: rabbit turd! If an establishment offers rabbit-turd ice, it immediately jumps up a notch in my mind.

Chicken Salad Chick knows how to do chicken salad! The sandwiches are great, but my preferred way to eat the chicken salad is with crackers. Anyway, I returned to this location to get my refund for missing food. Not only did they apologize for the mistake and immediately give me a refund, but they also gave me vouchers for six free meals! What! Your girl loves free food more than almost anything, so this was above and beyond. Chicken Salad Chicken not only knows how to make a slappin' salad, but they know how to endear themselves to customers. I will definitely be back.

For the most part, we know what to expect from Chick-fil-A. This one, like many/most others, has converted to the two-lane drive-thru with one lane being devoted exclusively to mobile orders. There's always employees in the parking lot taking orders. The focus, of course, is on chicken and variations of chicken. The prices are fair. The service is nearly always strong. If you say "Thank you!," you'll get a sincere "My pleasure!" It's all quite lovely. Truthfully, when I've had a rough day I'll sometimes head to a Chick-fil-A just because I can nearly always depend on positive customer service. I do use their mobile app - you can build up points fairly easily and get decent rewards. Occasionally, they'll send you a reward anyway. The line was fairly short on this visit - a surprise given it was a beautiful day and a Saturday. However, I did arrive at a bit of an off-time. I ordered a grilled chicken sandwich in a meal with medium fries. I always upsize my drink. The food was tasty, the service was good, and I was in/out quite quickly. This is definitely not in my neighborhood. I won't be a regular, however, it's a great option on the way as I'm continuing to prepare my parents' home for sale. However, this was definitely a good trip and I would definitely return when driving through Avon.
