I decided to go with the Pick Your Pair and ordered a skinny Sweet Heat Pork BBQ sandwich along with the Farmhouse salad. The pulled pork had good flavor overall, but it didn't have any heat and the sandwich itself was a little on the dry side lacking barbecue sauce. The Farmhouse salad, however, was packed with flavor and loaded with grilled chicken, crumbled blue cheese, hard-boiled eggs, bacon, cucumber, and tomatoes on a bed of fresh greens. First timer at a Potbelly. First, parking is atrocious. There are not enough spaces to support the businesses in the strip mall. We had to wait for a space to open. Ordering sandwich and soup was fairly straightforward. Sandwich was up fairly quickly, but it seemed to take forever to get through the register to pay. When we sat down, we realized that we were overcharged, so had to wait through the line again to fix the bill. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The tables were all dirty. I had to wipe one off to use. We never saw tables cleaned while we were there.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] What a hot mess. For the food, my husband ordered the Wreck, which had a single slice each of salami, turkey, roast beef and ham that were so thin, you could see through them. The toppings were generous and the bread was good. The sandwich was good despite the thinly sliced meat. I had a bowl of the broccoli cheese soup. The soup was thick and creamy. Kid's eat free on weekends, which is a good deal. They cater and push use of their app for ordering and special deals. Very slow and late pick up orders. Waited for 20 mins for a pick up order. She told me it would be done and then continued to help everyone else purposely making me wait. She refused to turn around and bag up one sandwich and one soup. This went on for close to a half hour. When I asked her what was going on she laughed. I've seen this place for years but really had no idea what it was. There is one downtown and the one I stopped in is in Carmel. Someone recommended it saying they have really good sandwiches, and indicated it's like Penn Station. Well I LOVE Penn Station and I was close by so decided to stop in. First off, it's NOT like Penn Station. Sure they serve sandwiches but that's really the inky comparison there is. They have several sandwiches to choose from (not a Philly steak) they don't do fries and they have soups and salads to choose from. I ordered a Chicken Pot Pie Soup and it was very good. Very filling, comforting and the perfect amount on a cold day. I ordered the bowl and it was plenty. This location is very clean no dirty tables, no overflowing trash cans very clean and well taken care of. Everyone was nice, not overly but pleasant. It was pretty quiet in there but I did go maybe an hour before closing. Good experience and if you like chicken pot pies I really recommend you stop in and try it! read more

We were greeted as we entered this sandwich shop. I was craving soup and a salad and was happy to see that I could have both options. I opted for the apple walnut salad and cup of veggie soup and my husband got The Wreck skinny wrap and a strawberry shake. Everyone was very friendly and it wasn't very loud so we were able to have conversations without yelling, which is nice. Our food was ready right away and they brought the milkshake to our table. They even offered to pour it into two cups if we planned to share it, however, I was opting to stay healthy. My husband looked like he started to be healthy with his skinny wrap and then last second asked for a milkshake which cancelled out his healthy choice... clean. The salad was great and the veggie soup hit the spot! My husband devoured his wrap and milkshake so I'm guessing they were good as well! We will be back. read more

Did a mobile order. Got there at the time we indicated. It was not there. Waited 15 minutes and asked the cashier. He pulled it out from the counter behind the cash register. He said the stand that says Mobile Order is for door dash. Mobile orders are behind the counter. My husband said he had been waiting by the mobile orders for 15 minutes. He said, "yeah, maybe we should change the sign". They guy did not apologize. This isn't a staff shortage, this is a staff that couldn't even care less. Kindness & empathy in a service industry . That's all that was needed. Fast forward: We got home and realize they forgot a cookie and then we saw the receipt saying "sorry we are out!" Of that cookie. They Could have told us when we were there (hindsight: this is probably why the order was behind the cash register - because we saw a friend walk in and pick up his order which on the mobile Order shelf...) (see picture of receipt) Then my salad had wilted soggy greens () (see picture) And then, 2 out of 3 sandwiches had meatballs in it - we ordered no meatballs (see picture). We called, the manager and they offered a refund and mailing gift cards. We declined the gift cards and asked for a full refund. And for the refund, I give them one star. Potbelly is a top two local sandwich shop for me. They get a 5 for my sandwich and a 1-2 for service. Not sure why, but you can never order via app at this location anymore. I've tried many a times and it always says it isn't available. The majority of the staff always seems annoyed that you come in. Yesterday I actually got a lecture by a young employee on "how to make their life easier". So if you want to get a good sandwich-you'll probably get one. You just may get it with a side of attitude (hence why I wish I could order via app). read more

The sandwiches were phenominal very hardy with lots of meat and fresh vegetables the soup was hearty and seemed homemade, I had some Voodoo kettle chips for the first time (very delicious). For me, Potbelly's is all about nostalgia. As a Hoosier, I only was introduced to Potbelly's when visiting my cousins in Milwaukee: I had never been to a place that, by default, toasted sandwiches: Subway was our go-to, and, well, it was reserved for road trips only. When I went to Potbelly's the first time, I discovered mushroom-forward sandwiches. First, it was the vegetarian sandwich: the standard. Always accompanied by an Oreo shake or smoothie (this was younger me, the version could afford the calories and the sugar). Then, I came across the mushroom melt: less bread that actually helped you TASTE the cheese better, as well as better overall veggie-to-bread ratios. A much more reasonable calorie count as well. Potbelly's also carries some great, kettled-cooked potato chips that come in a variety of flavors like jalapeno. If you want a change from your usual sandwich joint, give Potbelly's a try. The food is good enough. However their online ordering service seems to be offline 90% of the time, for no reason given. other Potbelly locations in the region do have online available. Additionally parking is a major issue here many days around lunchtime. There are many other businesses/restaurants in this shopping area that share parking. Between the online issue and parking it is easier to go to Jimmy Johns next door they do have online ordering. read more

I like Potbelly. I seem to always get the meatball, but tonight I ventured out to get the Gyro FLATS. I think I have a new favorite sandwich! We also got the milkshake, Mac & Cheese and a cookie. The cookie was free because I used the new app to order / pay. And, I also earned another cookie by using the app for my next visit. The staff tonight were friendly and helpful. Beware this Potbelly location. It is woefully inconsistent in quality. I've avoided writing a review here because my love for Potbelly is long standing. I think my family discovered them in West Lafayette about 16 or 17 years ago, and I was hooked immediately. I've since eaten at many locations in multiple states, and I don't remember a single bad experience until frequenting this store. I order the tuna salad sandwich 95% of the time I eat at Potbelly. I just love the way their hot peppers complement the tuna salad. On multiple occasions, the tuna salad has been SO dry here. For some reason, it doesn't seem their employees can follow the tuna salad recipe. One time, I had to ask for mayo packets to put on my sandwich because it seemed like they just gave me flaked tuna straight out of a can. So bad. Now since 2020, I've started ordering on their app and picking up carry out in the store a lot. It is a very handy way to be able to grab a meal ... if you could trust that they make your sandwich well. Unfortunately that only happens at this location about half of the time. They don't seem to be able to follow notes requests well. I like extra hot peppers. I only get this on my sandwich every couple times. This I deal with, but what I can't deal with is getting home with a sandwich that has about half the normal amount of meat on it and completely torched, dry bread. If they're cutting corners and not putting the adequate amount of meat and cheese on, their toaster completely burns and dries the bread. Inedible. Things like this happen at this store too often. I've contacted Potbelly HQ about it when the store wasn't very old (after the no mayo tuna salad incident) ... that they need better training for a consistent experience, but this store just doesn't seem to be able to get a handle on it. I wish this weren't the store that was local to my work commute. I want to stop eating here. But I love Potbelly. It's frustrating. read more

I haven't eaten at a Potbelly in a while so I thought I would try it again. I got here at 30 minutes before closing so I got the RBF look. I ordered a 9 inch turkey add bacon. Loved the bread and the bacon stole the show. Loved it. The turkey on the other ham seemed cheap and didn't wow me. Sandwich drink and chips $13+ so I'd expect more. I'd come back but next time I'd get a BLT for sure. The guy who I will assume was the manager went back to cleaning while my sandwich came through the toaster he did wash his hands for about 2 seconds which was alarming but at least he put gloves back on. read more

Meh. So you order and give all the specifics about what you want. They make the sandwiches in front of you. Then you go to the cashier and they ask "what did you order?" I just went through this, now I have to repeat the entire order again? Seems kind of silly. Here's an idea, whoever takes your order should write it down (I know, genius) and hand the ticket down with the order. Vanilla milkshake was good but nothing special. No whipped cream or cherry. Sandwiches were ok. Although both the wife and myself were missing avocado that was supposed to come with both. We brought this to the attention of the staff and they gave us some avocado and apologized. We've been here a couple times and probably won't be back. Too many other places to support. read more

I find the food hot and delicious. I feel compelled to respond to the reviewer who blames any restaurant for a door dash issue. (Who has only left 1 star reviews and blames everyone for being racist) This particular location has a great staff that gets my order correct regardless of my in person, online, DoorDash, small or catering order. Their DIVERSE staff works well together and they all have great attitudes. They have kids clearly being trained for customer service or leadership. Management is attentive and responsive. Very racist and unwelcoming to black people. My first visit in 2020 I walked in and the white staff just looked at me as if to say "how did she find us". The sandwich was mediocre. It was as though they just threw it together. Then second time today I ordered through doordash. After paying for my order I get an immediate notification that my order had been cancelled. I called the restaurant an Kayla answered an as soon as I asked she immediately said in a hurried annoyed voice "thats only handled through doordash" then click she hung up the phone. I reported it later to the manager and she just said well we'd like to give you another try but didn't offer a coupon, free meal. It's AGAINST THE LAW to refuse to wait on black people in america.
