I was in Southern California recently for two weeks. I look forward to being in an area where there is a Chick-fil-A since I always enjoy their service and food, and there are no locations in Michigan where I reside. But this location has to be the worst in the chain--seriously. I made three visits within five days only to swear off this Chick-fil-A location after having to return my food each time--for it not being as ordered or not hot or fresh. On three separate visits, I specifically asked for my waffle fries to be "extra well done, extra crispy with no salt" and repeating my request to be sure the cashier understood. And each time my fries came out as normal as normal gets--undercooked as far as I'm concerned. So each time, I had them redone, and on one occasion I sent them back TWICE! Seriously, how difficult is it to make fries well done? On one visit, the chicken sandwich was lukewarm at best. I sent it back. I don't feel if I'm paying almost $8 for a combo that I can get elsewhere for $5-$6 that I should tolerate anything being less than hot, fresh, and made to order. On each visit, I either had to eat my fries after I finished my sandwich, or my sandwich without my fries because I had to wait for a remake. On one of the three occasions, someone identifying themselves as a manager came out to my table after the lobby hostess let her know that I had become a regular with a problem each time. She merely swiped the fries off my tray and took them back without a single apology or show of remorse. The lobby hostess I have to admit was sympathetic and apologetic--but she too made excuses and tried to make it sound like it was my fault--that maybe I wasn't clear in my order. On my third and what amounted to my final visit, my receipt included a survey, which I gladly filled out online. I heard nothing back on my survey as of a week later. So I went on CFL's Facebook page and sent a private message with my story. A day later I got a half-hearted reply telling me that I should file my complaint on the CFL website. What? Whats the sense in having a FB Social media presence if you're not gonna field complaints or at least forward them. So I went ahead and copy and pasted my complaint on the CFL website. It took CFL three days to respond, and that too was a half-hearted apology, a promise to send me a CFL gift card (that has yet to show up in my mailbox 10 days later), and a promise to share my experience with the store operator who would contact me. I've heard from no one from that store. Unbelievable! While the remade food was up to par, having to return my food and have it remade each time gives them a poor grade. It should come out right the first time. Add to that the lack of concern from store management, they barely get two stars as far as I'm concerned. This isn't typical of my past CFL experience, but I pledged never to go there again, and I didn't in my second week there. In fact, I didn't visit another CFL for the rest of my time there, so the actions or lack thereof on the part of management in one location DOES affect how one treats the entire chain. EAT-MORE-CHIKIN!!!!! I happen to love Chick-Fil-A. The food always tastes fresh and the chicken is never over cooked. The serving staff is always friendly and polite. OMG I am a total sauce guy and the cornucopia of options they have for sauces is amazing! I have tried everything from chicken tenders to salads to sandwiches all are fantstical. Who came up with the drive-they format for this location! The two lines are not meant for this parking lot. A worker almost walked into my vehicle as this person was not paying attention and talking to a co-worker. That's a safety issue. Seriously, someone could get hit, and I'm not just talking about the worker who stands outside the drive-they window passing out food orders. These kids are not completely paying attention. A worker was walking around the area with more than three credit cards and collecting more at the same time. Let's just have a crazy thought! A worker could give the wrong credit card to someone, cause a case of fraud charges, and the hassle of disputing charges, etc. never come across anyone's mind!?! Absolute ridiculous experience at this location. Once I got home, I noticed my order was wrong. I called immediately and they were not helpful. Decided to come back in with my original order, and the young team member went over to the manager who couldn't even talk to us. Easy on and off the 5 freeway when you need both a bathroom and food stop! Clean restrooms and restaurant. Good food, quick service, tons of parking and they give you lots of Chick-fil-A sauce in your to go bag! I ate here a lot in college , in New Orleans, so I think the flavors are more intense down south, even more savory and greasier if I must say. The chains in Cali are like the healthy version. I love their chicken sandwich, nuggets ( love the array of different sauces) and most of all their dreamsicle ice cream cone!!!! Its dense and sweet. The best chicken sandwich I had was in Atlanta, better be right? It originated in GA! I know it was the best and let me tell you why. My husband did not like chick fil a but he's only had it in Cali. I really love this location. The staff is always friendly, the food (even during lunch rush) comes out super quickly... I lovelovelove #5 12-count with the waffle fries... but I mean, I've been eating the nugs from Chik-fil-A since I was 5 years old back East. The drive-thru is quick! Their shakes are to die for. The chicken sandwiches and chicken nuggets are consistently excellent. Their Breakfast foods are hands down the best fast food breakfast out there. Their sausage burrito is the best breakfast burrito I've had. The chicken littles are honey gooey goodness. The chicken biscuit reminds me of traditional Southern biscuits. The service is always impeccably friendly. The only downside is that they close on Sundays and also their corporate politics. I tried to boycott them due to the company's anti-marriage equality stance and I was really good for almost a year but then I fell off the wagon. I honestly do not come to this place often but wanted to go tonight and yes I showed up closer to closing but no one could inform me that you couldn't fulfill my order the correct way?So I order and pay the extra for a deluxe sandwich to not get any lettuce and no one could even let me know I drove home 20 minutes away to find out? WOW didn't know this place gets crackin' for lunch. Went here with a coworker and it was the perfect choice. Got myself the spicy chicken sandwich with the fries. First of all I didn't know they now take your name w hen you order and bring it to your table?!?! What service! The chicken itself was succulent and juicy. Delicious chicken burger but I wish it was spicier. I added some additional hot sauce on top to kick it up a notch and it was still delicious. The fries were good and came in a good sized portion. Food was good but the last two times I've ordered, the drive thru attendant mixed up my orders. This last time, I ordered a large sweet tea and was handed a medium at the drive thru counter. As far as fast food joints go, this one has to go at the top. In my experience the chicken is always moist, grilled or fried. Sometimes there is a little wait, but I don't mind waiting if the food is better quality. Nice location, friendly staff....GOOD CHICKEN! read more

I love Chik-fil-a, everything about it is good. From the sauces to the sandwiches to the shakes, they are all so good. I'm sure you must be asking why I am giving it a 4 if I love it so much, the answer to that is because this place is closed on Sunday's!! Despite the fact that getting to this location on a weekend is a nightmare due to the massive crowds flocking to Best Buy and Target and a thousand shops in between, if you are looking for a tasty fried chicken sandwich at the Marketplace, this is the place. There isn't really much to say about Chick fil A really. While it is fast food, it sort of stands above the fray by specializing in chicken. The sandwiches are great as are the strips and nuggets. There is also a chicken salad option and some grilled chicken versions of their sandwich. But neither of these items are as good as their classic Southern fried chicken sandwich. Another place I hate to admit that I liked. I get to see my dad in Virginia about once or twice a year. One time I came back and there were seemingly thousands of these restaurants everywhere. My thought was "that's not an appealling name" and I never ate there. However, I was stuck in Tustin for six months and this place opened up. I had to try it. I've tried both the grilled chicken and the regular chicken sandwich. The regular, breaded chicken sandwich has a tasty patty but a very bland bun. The grilled sandwich had a nice wheat bun which I subsequently subbed onto the regular patty for a small surcharge in the future. I believe they come standard with pickles which I opted against. The fries are criss cut and tasty. All in all, a good meal. I'd give it 3 1/2 stars if I could. read more

Okay, so I am really not one for chicken, but fried seems to make it my friend! This was probably the only chicken sandwich that I have ever eaten that I have desired to have again. Now, I am not jonesing for one or anything like that (I already ate) but I would like to have this again. Man! This place jacks me up! I mean the food is fantastic as always. This particular location has nice high ceilings very roomy and is very comfortable. I meet here with some guys and usually hang out for an hour or two. Seriously, their service (without paying a tip) is better than most places where I pay tips. Now seriously! What is up with that! I always see a lot of cars in the drive threw and thought I would stop in. YUCK. I got a so so chicken smashwich. The chicken breading has not flavor at all. KFC is better or Popeyes. The Chicken wrap Ceasor Wrap was utterly dry inside. The chicken was over cooked and the wrap has no dressing in it. You get a packet of dressing to put inside it and that still didn't help. The Chicken nuggets are Tiny and again the Breading battering has no flavor at all. I don't see what the big deal is but from reading the reviews apparantly some people like this place. read more

Update: I withdraw my direct comment towards the owner himself. Per a discussion with him, he corrected a few of my claims. So, apparently the entire Orange County CFA ownership collaborates against senior citizens- people who are on fixed income and have served our society for many decades- not just this particular establishment. Also, they do crafts with kids once a week. They are helping with fundraisers with local schools they help support some groups or school programs. I still maintain that corporate CFA would not be pleased with this level of community support but this is a franchise and an free enterprise economy. This store and others in OC do not have to follow other stores around the country- it's their free right to do so. It is also my right to dislike this approach. So I will up it one star and move on. read more

This rating is based on the catering service provided by this Chic-fil-A location... I've been a customer of this Chic-fil-A for about 3 years. My son loves the chicken nuggets there and continuously requests them. Generally I have been satisfied by the service and quality of food there. The employees have always been friendly and the attention to detail has always been there. My neighbor recommended I order the chicken nugget tray from their catering menu for my son's birthday party. What a great idea...no cooking and yummy nuggets for the kids. After placing my order and confirming my order the evening before my event. I was surprised to find out the order was incorrect when I received it. I thought "it's okay...Chic-fil-A will fix it, I mean it is Chic-fil-A." Well I was wrong...after talking to the manager and requesting them to deliver the missing items, I was told they would not be able to send me the condiments I requested. I would need to come back and pick them up, even after I told them I was on bed rest and wasn't allowed to drive let alone leave my bed. I was disappointed with the lack of attention to detail and the way the management handled the mistake they made. I specifically placed my catering order with Chic-fil-A because I trusted their service and in the end they made me feel like their mistake was my problem. This is really the only fast food restaurant I enjoy going to. The food almost always tastes fresh, and the workers are always very friendly and attentive. I come here a lot and I've only twice had an issue - and that had to do with the quality of the food. The majority of the time the food is very fresh. I don't know what Madeline is talking about. This place does not have any bad smell inside or outside. I have also never experienced a negative attitude from any employees here. I'm guessing that if she's the type of person who can cuss someone out in public, she probably has the attitude that begets negative outcomes. I ordered take out on the app. Then walked in to stare at a bag for what felt like for ever. After locking eyes with several employees they all walked away. It was only after they called all the other bags sitting there again, all bags EXCEPT MINE, that I finally got fed up enough to just ask for my bag. This place is a complete failure. They have had a few months now to figure out how to run a drive thru and pick up only location. The double drive thru is a dumpster fire. Employees all over and no one providing any order of moving cars. 5 to 7 cars from one lane because someone can't work a tablet or space things out. I'm typically used to In N Out levels of customer service when I frequent Chick fil A's, but this location is seriously lacking. Unfortunately, this Chick fil A is the closest one to my house, and their nuggets are one of the few things that my picky kid likes to eat, so we come here often. The drive thru workers aren't particularly friendly compared to other locations, and in recent months I've gotten several incorrect orders. Most recently I ordered two kids meals and neither came with a toy. I've complained to corporate, who said they would pass along my message to the manager, but judging from the other reviews here, I doubt I'll get a response. read more

I'm currently sitting, waiting for my son to get tired from playing at the playground. As I sit I'm just watching how the employees are so eager to help the customers. There's someone asking for the food turned out fine, others are cleaning, and some are asking those who are standing if they need anything. All the employees are staying busy and they're happy.
