We are so disappointed with the service at this location. We have been going to to this particular Chick-fil-A for almost 9 years because it is local, and we have given them so many chances to provide better service, but instead, they have continued to provide us with truly appalling incidents of mistreatment and poor service. In particular, the last two visits (i.e., yesterday and today) here have become the last straw, and we are choosing to finally take our business elsewhere. Starting with yesterday, we went here to get our usual two sodas to go, and while we here, a family member asked a staff member if there were part-time jobs here at this Chick-fil-A location during the summer that they could participate in for additional income. The staff member responded to the family member that this Chick-fil-A location only hires young kids in or just out of high school for part-time work during the summer. We were shocked by this response from them as it suggested discriminatory hiring practices based on age. They flat-out looked at my family member and immediately said "no" to considering them for a part-time summer job based on age and without even considering an application. This is unacceptable and should be addressed. Then, today, we decided to give this location one more chance. So, we went here to get our usual two sodas to go. However, when my family member went in to pick up the to go order, the staff members here refused to bring the to go order to the side of the counter where my family member was standing. This family member just recently experienced a foot injury and still had the bandages clearly visible on their foot. When the family member asked the staff members if they could bring the to go drinks to the other side of the counter to avoid walking more than necessary, the staff members first refused and then slowly, reluctantly brought the sodas to the family member. Then, they refused to give the family member two straws and said that the family member would just need to go walk to where the straws were and get them there. We understand that there has been an immense amount of turnover at this Chick-fil-A location over the years, and we have seen many staff members come and go. However, there a couple that are still here from when we first moved to Irving, and we are truly surprised by their behavior. Over the years, we have experienced multiple service issues, particularly rude and insensitive remarks or comments about our orders, our clothing, and even us personally. However we continued to give them chance after chance because it was our local franchise, and it was the first one we went to when we moved here. However, it now feels just plain abusive. The customer service here definitely needs improvement, and the staff members should be able to do their jobs in serving the food items and beverages without making customers feel bad. read more

My wife had to run into work to drop off tech equipment and I decided to ride with her. it was time for lunch so we decided to drop by Chick-fil-A for lunch. I opened up the app and preordered to save some time in the line. I ordered a deluxe chicken sandwich combo with waffle fries and lemonade. My wife decided on the grilled chicken wrap with waffle fries and a Diet Coke. Chick-fil-A has the reputation on knowing how to take care of their customers and move the line of cars in a very efficient manner and today was no exception. This is a very busy location at lunch but the drive-thru was moving quickly. We gave them the name on the mobile order and were told to move forward. Our meal was correct and prepared up to the standards that Chick-fil-A is known for. My chicken sandwich was wonderful as well as my wife's grilled wrap. the cilantro lime dressing took the wrap over the top. We enjoyed a wonderful lunch from Chick-fil-a and will stop in again soon when we're in the area. read more

When this was brought to the managers attention they didn't pay a bit of attention and claim that they did not have a handicap parking spot or aisle by the exit of their drive-thru but I never said it was by the exit of their drive-thru it's by the entrance of the building why would handicapped people enter by the exit of the drive-thru that just underscores how completely moronic the management at this restaurant are. The associates urge you to break the law and make you pull forward over the handicap aisle so that they can take your order when they are busy I brought this to the manager's attention and she acted like it was not a very big deal I have very little confidence that she will even talk to the girl about it so I'm taking it to the Publix attention now... I'm also going to do a corporate complaint. By the way if you do what the associate says and cover the handicap aisle in the parking lot you can be fined over $500 so I suggest that you not listen to their associate when they urge you to break the law. read more

I have visited multiple locations and have ordered chicken strips and requested that they be cut up. Every single time my request has been met. No questions. No pushback. Simply done. On Tuesday, December 3, I went to this location. Placed my order. And was given the strips uncut. When I asked the manager (Shana) why other locations cut them up she started to explain that every location is a franchise. I interrupted her and cut her off as she wasn't hugging me reason but an excuse, If a location can cut up the chicken for a salad, they can cut it up for the strips. If one location can do this, then everyone can since they obviously all have the same equipment. The request wasn't unreasonable. The request wasn't outside of her power to fulfill. The request would not have bankrupted the location or the corporation. No one would have suffered bodily harm or died as a result of simply cutting the chicken. The bottom line is that this person, a manager, simply didn't want to. She placed a higher value on rules and procedures and "how we do things" than simply making a customer happy. Yes, I yelled at her. No I will not apologize nor regret it. She was being unreasonable. She should be commended for doing a phenomenal job at making me feel that my request was unreasonable. She should also be commended for insulting my intelligence given that it's no secret that chicken is cut up for both the wraps and the salads. Shana should pursue a career as a fire marshal or code enforcement. She clearly holds dear doing things "by the book." She may smile and seem nice but ultimately she's a fraud. "Service" is not about simply following the rules and checking the boxes. It's about creating an experience. A memorable experience. Should I mention her that I'm under doctor's orders to eat 190g of protein a day and that having the chicken cuts makes all of that much easier? Should I mention the amount of money that I've spent ordering this? I had this meal 4x a day during the month of September. Frequently in November. And now occasionally in December. Shana should be reminded of Chick-Fil-A's core values. . . . Buyer beware the chicken sandwiches at Chick-fil-a in general are not consistent. I continue to be disappointed and receive an average of approx 2.3 oz of grilled chicken. These are prepped at the back of the house. Not sure why it's not closer to the size it's suppose to be. "How many ounces is a Chick-fil-A chicken breast? This place is EXTREMELY busy for lunch! The drive-thru wraps around the building twice. It's best to find a parking spot and walk in and order your food. Even better if you order on the mobile app before heading over there. This probably sounds normal to any Chick-fil-a veteran. Overall, the service is pretty fast and staff is friendly. They've messed up our order a couple of times but were able to resolve any issue within a couple of minutes. The food quality is what you expect from any Chick-Fil-A. During the pandemic, they do not allow any indoor dining. My go-to breakfast is the Chick-Fil-A Mini's meal and my go-to lunch is the Spicy Chicken Sandwich Combo (Not the deluxe because I feel the cheese, lettuce and tomato takes away from the chicken flavor and makes the entire sandwich bland). read more

Sara was a very kind and polite lady. My boyfriend ordered me some dinner since he is away for the night at work and when I got there she asked me if i had another card and I told her unfortunately I don't I didn't order it. Thinking I wasn't going to get my food I checked my hoodie for my phone and told her I accidentally left it at home and she it was okay. She gave me my meal for free and I apologized to her letting her know that I will make sure this doesn't happen again. I really had a terrible experience with Burnadet and Shanya. I am big on customer service and treating people how I would like to be treated. It really upset me that when I looked at my food, it was cold and old. I called burnadet and she told me the only way they could do something is if I brought the food back? How.... I'm back on the clock. Then Shanya told me that the fries are cold and no longer fresh after 3 minutes and what we do when we leave is on us. Food should at least be warm not cold and old. What I expected was to rectify this issue and write my name down so I can come back after work and get my food but they told me that the only thing she could do is credit my app and that's being nice. We stopped here for a late lunch on a Monday. Even around 2pm on a Monday, this place was slammed. Initially we ordered ours "to go" because there weren't any tables open for our 6-person party. BUT, by the time our order came up, tables opened up and we dined in. I have to say, sitting at the 2-top tables towards the restrooms are a little stressful. While trying to eat on a teeny tiny table, people are walking past us on both sides. I felt overwhelmed and uncomfortable. I was a little surprised this Chick-fil-A didn't have a play area too. I think it's the first one I've been to which didn't have one. Disappointing for the kiddos. Two things that are great regardless of the Chick-fil-A location are: the service and the food. This is by far the most mismanaged location in the DFW area. The line attendants are out of sync most of time which actually delays the drive thru line even more. Employees are nice, it's simply just not managed as well as others. Also, I quit coming here for a few months because one of my nuggets had a HUGE LARGE bone in it, clearly visible and should have been caught before it boxed up to a customer. If your interested in trying out the drive thru from hell, stop by the Irving, MacArthur location! What I love is it goes from like two lanes, to one lane, back to two lanes, then one lane or some crap. I felt like I was going to get flipped off when I was finally trying to get to the infamous drive thru merge. That's just getting there into the parking lot! I have seen cars parked on MacArthur which people are trying to get to the freeway on a 6 lane street! As for the food I mean it's good for the price, chicken is usually tender at most locations I have been to. Just gets boring going there all the time. It's a once a month or two thing for me. At this location I have had my order wrong at least 3 times & have never gotten a smile or a "my pleasure" from an employee there.
