Staff, food, service amazing. Ordered x2 Jerk chicken, rice and peas with cabbage and plantains. Really good portions and the food was overloaded with flavor. You want some good authentic Jamaican food in Dallas, then this is the place. Ambiance here and vibes are 10/10!

Roland's is an ideal spot for me now in terms of Jamaican food. I've tried this place on numerous occasions and the food is seasoned well and made fresh. Roland's is located in a plaza off Beltline road in Irving . This spot has become busier as time goes on which is why I lean toward the Newer Lewisville location. On this last occasion ,I tried my usual chicken Roti (wrapped) ,a beef patty , passion fruit juice , and Ginger beer. Beverages were natural and deliciously made . Roti was below expectations, but still filling and satisfying. I came during the workday lunch rush which may be a factor . Nice place to sit down and eat some good food, enjoy a laugh or two, or sit by the bar. Customer service is always pleasant and welcoming . Apple Pay is accepted here . Spacious seating to accommodate groups . Will definitely dine here again .

I saw a recommendation from TikTok that this place had really good Jamaican food. The people did not lie! It was soooo good! I got chicken roti, beef patty, and a passion fruit juice. I almost burst trying to eat everything because it was so good. Now, there will be a wait. It is a Caribbean restaurant after all, but the wait is worth it. And the ladies behind the counter were very nice.

Came to this spot as soon as they opened after church last Sunday! I am only giving 4 stars, because the wait was pretty long. We waited about 40 minutes but the food was AMAZING! Owner was polite and made sure we had everything we needed. The servers were awesome as well. We got the soursop and passion fruit juices for our orders, so freaking good! I got the jerk chicken dark with Mac and yams: 10/10! My husband got the oxtails with spinach and plantain. Idk what they put in that spinach but I want a whole tub of it, never tasted spinach that good before. Will definitely be returning.

Both patties packed w flavor and the fruit punch is absolutely thirst quenching. Hope they have the soursop next time go !

Amazing jerk chicken cooked In a way very different from others. First time having jerk chicken with chicken not cooked in jerk sauce. Chicken is well marinated and smoked . Sauce is home made I think cause it has diff taste than those instant jerk sauce from grace . Will come again to try the oxtail and curry shrimp or fish. Btw the home made ginger beer is very good too. I ordered one to take home:)

Jerk ribs, half chicken, rice & peas, plantains, candied yams, beef patty, collard greens, mac n cheese.... Yeah I basically ordered the whole menu! And EVERYTHING was amazing!! I wish this place were closer to me...I'd go every week. Great customer service as well! So glad I found this hidden gem and I'll definitely be back, SOON!

If you can't afford to fly to Jamaica, come to Roland's Jamaican Chicken. You feel the love as soon as you walk in the door. From the decor to the hospitality, to the great music selection, and most certainly the food - Roland's is a vibe. Major shout out to Dee and Steady for making my first experience here yesterday as great as it was. I wasn't sure what I wanted at first. I was torn between the jerk or stew chicken, so Steady told me to order the stew chicken as my main w/two sides of my choosing & then for $6 I could get a side of jerk chicken. I ordered as suggested, and also got a sorrel beverage to go. Dee was the woman who took my order. She was such a sweet, kind-hearted soul. I spent $30 and regret not one dollar spent here. Not only is the service amazing, but the food is INCREDIBLE. I'm already planning my next visit back, as I found out they do different specials throughout the week (curry goat, snapper, jerk etc). If you don't like making good conversation, cracking jokes, and patiently waiting for hot and f r e s h food then this won't be the place for you. However, for those who have looked to my reviews over the last four years for guidance, have tried places I've rated a 5/5 and know I haven't steered you wrong then hear me when I say Roland's needs to be your next stop. It doesn't get more authentic than this place!

I haven't been to the restaurant so I can't speak to the environment. If the restaurant is anything like the food then IT IS FIRE! Like top Jamaican food I've ever had. Everything ordered was amazing! Oxtails, goat... etc. Can't wait to eat here again!

First timer here, and first timer trying Jamaican food- what was I thinking- truly, I have been missing out. I cannot believe it took me this long to experience these flavors! Little spot with big energy and flavors- our server was so nice and tried to tell us that the food is so tasty that there won't be a lot left- and he wasn't playing around. While waiting to order they ran out of the rice and peas and the beef patties. Luckily they made a fresh batch of both. I got the curried chicken and don't tell mama, but this was AMAZING. I thought my mama made the best chicken curry- but I think I would marry this curry chicken. It was truly spectacular! We all sampled each other dishes- the jerk chicken was ten out of ten- the ox tail, soft and silky and filled with flavor- and of course my curry chicken was beyond amazing- truly reminded me of some of the childhood Indian dishes I've had- similar flavors, so good! I called one of my besties the minute we left and told her that she better door dash this immediately because my leftovers were going straight home with me- ha. We met with the lovely manager- Sky, she was so kind and said they have been so busts go support this business, they are killing it! It was nice to see so much diversity here- everyone was dining with a smile. Go check them out- I'll probably bein line when you get there!

I've eaten here numerous times, and the food has been consistently excellent. I've only been here for carry-out instead of dine-in; therefore, I can't speak on the service from that experience. However, I have gotten consistent service that I am pleased with. My order has always been correct. Lastly, my food has been consistent in quality and portion sizes, which I appreciate. Curry goat roti: Their curry goat is flavorful, and the meat is tender and you get a nice mix of meaty and boney pieces. The curry is tasty and the consistency of the gravy is very good. The roti has pounded chickpeas in it, and it has a nice flavor. It's never too try and always made fresh. Curry chicken roti: their curry chicken is made with the same curry mix as the curry goat. The chicken is bone-dark meat pieces. This is also very tasty, and you can't go wrong with this entree. Oxtails: This is a go! They usually put 3-4 large pieces of oxtails pieces. The flavor is very good. It's made Jamaican style, so it has a sweet taste to it, and the gravy compliments well the rice. Jerk chicken: They usually serve two-quarter legs, and this is a good value because the flavor is good; it's not overly spicy to me. Ensure you get the jerk sauce to marinade your chicken with, because it's delicious. Whole snapper: I had my snapper with brown stew gravy. The fish is fried perfectly and then sauces with gravy. The fish has a nice flavor. I'll try the other styles like curry, spicy red, and Escovitch eventually. Jerk Ribs: These ribs were delicious and nicely smoked with a great flavor it's much spicier than the jerk chicken to me, but it is good Beef patty: Their beef patties are delicious! Perfectly seasoned ground beef. The crust of the patty is flaky. This is a must and it isn't spicy. Sides: I've tried them all, and they're all good, the greens, baked mac and cheese, rice and peas, candied yams, sweet plantains. Just go with your reference and you won't be disappointed. This is a premier Jamaican food in the area if you're looking for a good meal or like Jamaican food!

I was craving a mouthwatering Jamaican meal, and when my colleague suggested Roland's, I couldn't resist checking it out. So, right after work, I made my way there, especially since it's conveniently located near the vibrant Las Colinas area. As soon as I stepped inside, I was greeted with warm service. The cashier, juggling multiple roles, radiated positivity and ensured every customer felt welcome. I appreciated how quickly things moved; even though I was told my order would be ready in 25 minutes, I was pleasantly surprised to be out the door in just 15! Despite its cozy size, the restaurant fills up fast, and it's clear why. The real star of the show was the food. I was absolutely blown away by the Rice and peas; it was bursting with flavor--unlike the often bland versions I've had at other Jamaican spots. And let's not forget the jerk chicken--it was grilled to spicy perfection! I left feeling satisfied and excited to return for another culinary adventure this weekend. Roland has a place to try.

KKC has some of the best halal fried chicken I've had in the US, especially in the DFW area. This is one of those comfort meals you crave at 9 PM on a Tuesday that can't be beat. The ambiance is that of your average hole in the wall chicken joint. Overall I rate this place 8 s/10. ------------ The Zinger burger (basically a spicy chicken sandwich) is my go to order from here, a solid 8.5/10. They always put a huge chicken patty in there and a generous amount of sauce. You really can't go wrong. Their chicken itself is an 8/10, upgraded to 8.5 with the garlic sauce. They really got the spices down right. I would not recommend the Mac and cheese (5/10), it's very watery and lacked any flavor. The potato wedges were great though. (Although I'm not sure how you could mess those up).

One thing to note is that some of the side dishes have different prices on online orders when you add them on to your entrees vs. adding them separately ($.99 + difference). **Average Dish Cost(s): Under $8. **Food: 3 Piece White Meat Meal ($9.28)-- I chose white meat ($.80) and extra biscuits ($1.89) which increased the price from $6.59. The chicken was extremely delicious. It tasted fresh despite my order being late in the day and the skin was crisp and seasoned so well that I ate all of it. Usually I'll peel the skin off and discard it, but not this time. The white meat was juicy and nothing pink was found. 10/10. Extra biscuits ($1.89)-- These biscuits were some of the best I've ever had. Their outward appearance didn't match how delicious they were. They were soft and had an essence of honey to them. Side Mashed Potatoes ($2.99)-- I admit I was hesitant to eat this because I expected more of a brown gravy, but these were amazing! Not too salty and they tasted fresh. **Seating: Looked to have regular table style seating that is closed off due to the virus issue. **Location: It's located next to a bunch of other establishments within a mini strip type of place. Google GPS lead me to a park that's a but away, so be careful. Lots of parking spaces.

My Overall Rating - 5 Stars (Atmosphere, Service, Food, Return) Atmosphere - Tupelo Honey is a stand-alone restaurant conveniently located near Hwy 114 and 161. There's plenty of parking, outdoor seating, and a mixture of tables, booths, and bar seating. Speaking of the bar, it acts as a beautiful backdrop for the entire restaurant. 1 Star. Service - The service is always friendly. Our server is always smiling, and I can't help but feel welcome with southern charm. Tupelo Honey trains its staff well, and I really enjoy coming here and interacting with the staff. 1 Star. Food - I always begin with the Biscuits with a Cause. These light, flakey biscuits are served warm with a crispy exterior and soft, flakey inside. But honestly, the biscuits act as a delivery mechanism for the butter and blue berry jam. I always ask for an extra side of butter and jam because I use it all. On my most recent visit, I ordered the Honey Dusted Fried Chicken (dark). The chicken was perfectly fried, crispy, and sweet. And the dark meat was juicy. Pro Tips - use your hands. Another great dish was experienced. 2 Stars. Will I Return? - Yes. I have yet to have a below average dish at Tupelo Honey. Yes, it's a chain. But it's also a darn good chain that keeps its menu fresh and is worth multiple visits. 1 Star.
