When I moved to Los Angeles & Orange County 3 years ago, I became one of those people that eat out... All of the time. I have to admit, service at 80% of the places I go to is terrible. Chic-Fil-A, surprisingly, is one of those places that remind you good service actually exists. Unlike Sheenie and Karlie below me crying about 30~ cents which they probably blow off anyway by flooring it to the next red light like most OC/LA drivers I encounter, I haven't had any bad experiences here... Except this one time. I brought 2 friends with me here one day, about mid-afternoon. We got out food, sat down, and ate. Me and a friend had always wondered about the ice cream options on the menu, it was hot that day so we opted in to try. Approaching the counter again, this is where it hits the fan. We were standing away from the counter when some 3-5 year old boy cuts loose from his Mom to run to his grandfather at the counter. That exact moment, my friend knows which ice cream option he wants. In slow motion, he moves his foot... Crazy wild toddler, running full speed ahead... Decides it's a perfect move to weave in and out of me and my friend. Then it happens. The kid wobbles into my friends foot, trips, AND FLY'S HEAD FIRST INTO THE COUNTER. HE WAS RUNNING SO FAST, HE FLEW HORIZONTALLY AND THE TOP OF HIS HEAD SMASHED THE COUNTER. *thump* The crying starts. Everyone looking around, me trying to figure out if it was us or him?! I'm trying to not to laugh. I look at my other friend and he utters, "I'm trying to feel no emotion right now". The Grandpa looks down and picks the kid up. The girl behind the counter didn't really know how to handle the situation, and that's when some manager guy swoops in and saves the day. We watch him as he goes, "Do you know what makes the crying go away? ... Ice cream!" With EVERYONE watching, the kid crying, bam. The guy pulls out a free ice cream with cookies thing for the kid. No more crying, no more tears, and I feel the eyes were taken off us. read more

Simply LOVE Chick-Fil-A in Long Beach! I've been a huge fan of Chick-Fil-A restaurants for years but this one is by far the best I've personally experienced. Once you're inside and taste that food, it won't even feel like a 'fast food' experience - definitely worth more than the value. Although the price-tag and quick service merits the fast food title, it blows other fast food restaurants right out of the water. How do they CONSISTENTLY deliver such great food and service?! I'm a huge stickler for both and they meet my high expectations and even those of my picky little young eaters and vegetarian husband (he loves the salads, side items, and desserts). My personal favorites are their spicy sandwich, waffle fries, and their Arnold Palmer (sweet tea and fresh squeezed lemonade mix) - yuuuummmmyyy and oh so refreshing. The food is consistently scrumptious, fresh, and our order has always been filled correctly. The staff is diverse and truly represents the best of Long Beach. The customer service experience compares to a 5-star restaurant. I love the staff's "my pleasure's", carrying trays, and walking around asking us if we would like refills. The restaurant is always clean and energetic. It's a unique family-friendly environment and the in-door play area is maintained so well and is a huge hit with my family. I love that you can stop in or drive-thru for a quick yummy meal and hop over to the movie theater to watch a flick (by the way, great theater - also one of our favs) or shop around. I highly recommend trying this particular Chick-fil-A restaurant. The others are pretty good but this one is the best. As a former employee here I understand all the stuff that they do. I've seen the mold in the lemonade machines and in the Ice tea. (If you don't believe me about the mold look at the pics) I have witnessed employees drop things on the floor and hand them back to the kitchen to make it seem as if they throw it away but they really don't they just but it back to serve it Don't get me started on the managers I understand being nice is the customer service but these people are faker than fake I've seen the way they treat their employees And I think slaves were treated a lot better than the employees here. They never work they're always on their phones but as soon as they see the owner John Howard that's when they begin to work and start yelling at the kitchen. This place is an unbelievable catastrophe. I cannot remember a single time they got my order right. Shame on me for giving them more chances, the only reason anyone comes to this particular Chik-fil-A is it's convenient location. The experience you can expect here is hands down the WORST of any Chik-fil-A, period. They hire high school kids who roll their eyes at everything and will never get your order right. None of them like their jobs and this becomes obvious when you get your order or try and get help to correct something. Please keep scrolling to see similar experiences. This place is a NIGHTMARE. Negative 100 stars and the manager will have no interest in resolving any issues you WILL have. I don't know her name but where I was a manager, she would have been GONE. The entire staff and the manager too seem to enjoy not being able to help you. When people hate their jobs, it shows in their work. Normally Chick-Fil-A always deserves five stars. I mean its Chick-Fil-A. But what they did was unforgivable... I usually order the same thing every time, two regular Chick-Fil-A sandwiches and fries. I know I need eight packets of Chick-Fil-A sauce. So at the speaker when they ask if you want any sauce, I said, I needed eight. Not like eight, just eight. She verified that with me so I didn't think to check the bag. As I'm driving down the freeway, while juggling my sandwich and drink (that's safe driving right) I realize I only have 3.. that's right 3. What am I supposed to dip the rest of the food in?? Knowing turning around this point would be ridiculous, I did the slightly less ridiculous thing and called to complain. I didn't want a discount or free food, I only wanted to share my suffering. I never been to a chick fil a until I moved close to the Carson location. I was always going to KFC for the quick meals but could never finish thier food because of feeling full to quickly before finishing a 3 strip meal. But here at chick fil a, I fell in love! they had deals on certain dates for me to come back and reorder the same thing! I was never offered by restaurants to come on a certain date to get free food again but on a different day. This excited my tummy and pocket book! Now I go once a week to get thier chicken nuggets. It is light and filling. The chicken tastes fresh and what they are using for the batter give the chicken a good flare to my tongue. I cant wait to stop by before work next week to get the same order. i highly recommend and thier customer service is excellent and no complaints so far from me! read more

January 22. 3019 I tried the Market salad and it was a total rip off. I will never buy another salad from Chick fila ever again. This salad believe me had actually 3 blueberries and maybe 1 small strawberry cut up. The salad was not worth the price at all. The salad had a few pieces of apple in it tbe greens were good and it had 3 bery small chicken strips that were of a nugget size than a strip. The best salads still to date are at Wendy's by far, they are best in all fast food places. Service going down. Marketing Mgr took our order. Asian guy with huge arms. Not friendly at all. Bad day? Spent almost $30. Rushed us out of line like an assembly line. Get home, no dressing for the salad. Asked for no blue cheese but I get Blue cheese. Asked for chick fil a chicken, not the grilled. He verified the fried one I said yes. Get home to thinly sliced cold chicken that isn't fried or breaded. No dressing in the bag. Wow! Ruined evening...thanks. 1 star only because this has happened 4 or 5 times in the last year. Dajah had great customer service! She made my visit enjoyable and was very attentive with refils and asking how my visit was going at a point another employee by the name of kelly passed by to assist and i asked if it was okay to get my cone since dajah said it was okay to have it after my meal and kelly denied my request and said we had to go to the counter to ask for it while dajah free willingly came to us and asked us if we were ready for our cone! I love this place! It's sauce heaven! They have a big variety of sauces to choose from which makes this a big plus. I like that they have the option of grilled or breaded chicken. I am a big big fan of their criss-cut fries as well! They are delicious! I've been to various chick-fil-a's and they have all had great customer service and very clean. Great food and atmosphere. Everyone is so corteous. Its like IN-N-OUT but just chicken. Service is much better than IN-N-OUT. The chicken is better than other Fas Food chicken sandwiches. We love this place! It's always kept very clean and the staff is so nice! I'm not usually a fan of those play yards but this one is kept up well so I don't mind letting my kids play in it. The staff comes around multiple times offering their service if you need refills, napkins,etc. So this a definite must stop at the long beach town center. read more
