My son's favorite. They have good portions. Chicken is flavorful. Service is quick and the place is chill esp that it's at The Hanger LBX.

The chicken sandwich was okay. Juicy yet somehow the breading lacked depth. Decent size. But for a place that specializes in chicken, I'd expect a more unique flavor. Or just more flavor in general. The french fries were generic best. The only flavor came from the seasoning which was not evenly distributed. There were a couple other places in the food hall with better fries.

First time here and it was delicious! Made fresh to order and able to customize. I got the hot and honestly, wasn't as hot as I was expecting. Next time I'll get hotter. Fries were crinkly and delicious too. Service was super nice and quick! There's plenty of seating available (during the week at least) both inside and out.

Located inside the Hangar, there are a bunch of food options to choose from and if you're craving a solid chicken sandwich, Jay Bird's Chicken will hit the spot. They churn out orders pretty quickly and this place seems to be one of the more popular spots inside the food hall. I got the traditional chicken sandwich with fries and I was pretty happy. The chicken was moist and juicy. not as crispy as I would've liked but it was fine. The fries were a little on the soggy side but that's probably because of the to-go box packaging. All in all, a solid spot for a chicken sandwich.

When you got that craving for a delicious chicken sandwich, Jay Bird's Chicken is a must! I went with the Mac Daddy w/ medium heat. It was just perfect for me. And that chicken breast was juicy with every bite Located inside the LBC Hanger, you can either have your meal at the counter/bar or join the others in the central food court dining area...or if the weather permits, enjoy the outdoor seating I just happen to pick the perfect time as I was able to get in and out fairly quickly. Thanks to the staff for the friendly service.

One of my favorite chicken sandwiches in town because of the spice levels being perfect to what I am craving. We usually go spicy hot and it never misses. The side sauce is always great as well and pair great with the fries. Service is definitely the longest out of all the places to eat and the line is always long around lunch time. Ambiance is little too crowded and busy almost all the time. Definitely aim for non peak hours to enjoy.

Located inside a food hall with many other restaurants to choose from. I got the Mac Daddy Sandwich and Fries. The chicken was not super crispy. Mac and Cheese was relatively tasteless, it was more so there for texture. Fries were seasoned pretty well and fairly crispy. Portion size is pretty good, as I felt quite full after the meal. I ordered medium and it was not spicy in my opinion, and I am pretty good with spice. After tax the sandwich was maybe $17 give or take Rating: Overall, I'd give this place a 4.5/10. Relatively harmless and mid experience. Food was not special, and didn't really taste like anything. The price of $17 post tax brings the score down below mid. Probably would not come back but the meal was filling at least

If you're craving a chicken sandwich that actually delivers on flavor, Jay Bird's Chicken has you covered. The sandwich comes out hot, with a crispy golden crust that stays crunchy even after a few bites, and the chicken itself is juicy--not that dry, sad stuff you get elsewhere. They've nailed the seasoning too, so every bite is satisfying without being overpowering. The seasoned fries are no afterthought--they're hot, crispy, and perfectly spiced, the kind of side you actually finish instead of picking at. Service is quick and friendly, and the place has a laid-back vibe that works whether you're grabbing food to go or eating in. It's not overcomplicated--just really solid, well-made chicken and fries. I'll be back.

I'll keep this review short and sweet. The food here is LEGIT! Everything is made fresh right in front of you. They season the chicken. They season the fries. The food came out hot, spicy, and flavorful! Prices are reasonable and you get generous portions. I was very impressed very impressed with how juicy the chicken filet was, they cooked it to perfection! Highly recommend you get a side of ranch and comeback sauce to go along with the food. Next time I want to try the big sexy sauce and probably will go for the hot level to really bring some kick and spice to my tastebuds! Lastly, the service here was great and there is plenty of seating inside The Hangar and also outside.

The chicken was delicious! The Smokey ketchup was also yummy. Mac and cheese was good but personally could have used a touch of salt. Fries weren't anything special, could have been a little crispier. Overall, it was good and I'd try the sandwich if I'm back in town!

OMG!!! Tried Jay Birds chicken for the first time today and I'm OBSESSED!!!! The portions are huge so I have left overs!! The only down side is the limited seating but luckily I was able to find some empty chairs and squeezed into a table. Another downside, I'm not really a fine of lemonade or tea (which are the only drink options) so I walked around to find another drink of my liking. I would maybe even recommend bringing your own drink but I know that's not necessary since lemonade and tea are very popular and most people like it.

Man this place use to be fire crispy fries crispy chicken with great flavor I have not been here for a year or two but told everyone in Long Beach this is where is at....... Not anymore raw fries not even crispy chicken is soggy Idn what happened but I use to compare this place to howlin rays now ......... I think id prefer a spicy chicken sandwich from jack and the box. There use to be such a long line and I got excited there was no line but then realized the Korean place ..... the sandwich place all had long lines welp another one that was good has died upsetting but spend your money elsewhere its fast food average the employees are to busy eating the food and making waffles to eat welp no longer coming back here to bulgogi burrito or Ike's I go

Yum!!! I got the blazin fries and I would definitely recommend. I loved the mild and the mac is great with the fries and chicken. I prefer this to crimson coward ! Its in a indoor mall type place with 10 other food shops so you can come with your family and all get your cravings satisfied!

We had a reservation for six and the hostess greeted us and sat us right away. Our server, Nate, was fantastic. He knew the menu and answered all of our questions. He even explained how some of the drinks were made. Later we found out he was actually one of the bartenders helping out as a server for the night. Which made sense considering how well he knew how the drinks were made. He was attentive and checked on us often to make sure everything was going well. One thing that made him stand out was, he actually conversed with us rather than just asking if we needed anything and then leaving. The Old Fashioned was one of the smoothest and best I've probably ever had. My nephew ordered the Ube Painkiller after Nate described how it was made. I had a sip, and the ube flavor really came through without overpowering the drink and it was perfectly matched with the dark rum, which Nate said came from the Caribbean. The Brussels sprouts had a nice mix of tender and crispy pieces that gave additional texture. The calamari was tender and the pesto style sauce paired real good with it. The Thai curry sea bass was flavorful, flaky, and had the right amount of spice. The cioppino had a rich shellfish flavor in the broth and I appreciated that the tomato base didn't have such an acidic taste. We also shared the tomahawk, which was juicy, cooked perfectly, and had a sprinkle of coarse salt that really brought out the flavor. Overall, we had a great experience. The food was excellent, but Nate's service really made our night special, making us feel right at home.

The hostess was quite sweet when we walked in. As we had our little fur baby with us, we were seated at one of the tables on the patio. It was still early and that in-between time so it was pretty quiet. A large party was set up next to us. Melinda took care of us and she was the sweetest. Happy hour was happening which we took advantage of. It was 4.00 off appetizer, 2.00 off draft wine and beer. Also, they made sure that our little pup was well taken care of as well. Food wise, an order of the poke wrap. Nice chunks of ahi with a scoop of rice, lettuce, avocado and wasabi sauce. It was good but a little messy. As it would be with all of the lettuce wraps. The steamed mussels which is a must. The broth was delicious and served with two nice thick slices of toasted bread. Decent size mussels cooked deliciously in the broth. A must try. Lastly the calamari which was tossed with jalapeños. Both deep fried and quite tasty. Nice crunch to it but not overly cooked. That was also served with two dipping sauce. Everything was delicious. Towards the end of the meal, Melinda noticed that a bug was in my wine which she was very sweet about and made sure to take care of it. The simple little gesture was greatly appreciative. The whole experience was excellent. Everyone was the sweetest and friendliest. Will definitely be back.

Visually, the burger was impressive and looked exactly like something you'd want to dig into. However, the salt level was overwhelming to the point where I genuinely could not finish it. What made matters worse was that our server was not attentive with refilling our waters, and when you're working through an extremely salty dish, hydration isn't optional. I left the meal feeling dehydrated and honestly a little frustrated. The bright spot of the visit was the Brussels sprouts, which were genuinely well done and showed some real kitchen care. If I were to return, I'd probably stick to the vegetable sides. For a restaurant with a 4 PM lull and minimal table traffic, there's no excuse for that level of inattentiveness. A simple water refill and a quick check in would have saved the experience. As it stands, the combination of an over salted entrée and absent service made for a tough sell on the value. If you're in the area craving a burger, you might want to save your money and head down the street to Louis Burger instead. Ellie's may shine in other areas; I've heard good things about the pasta, but this particular visit missed the mark.

The final item ordered was a mushroom pasta with shrimp. The shrimp were fantastic with a light char and perfect flavoring. The pasta was good. It did look quite busy on the patio when we checked in with the hostess. We were informed that it would prob be about 20 minutes or so for a table and if we wanted to wait at the bar. Exactly what we did. Bar area had maybe 5/6 hi top chairs that look onto the bar. Gabriel and Francisco who were working was knocking the drinks out one by one. Sitting there and just watching them create magic for everyone, it was quite amusing. Seeing how it's made and presented with precise detail, it was an art. While waiting for the table we started off with the raspberry lychee martini and the spicy margaritas. Both were great. The right amount of kick with each sip. Gabriel was knocking them out one by one and man was he busy. Fransisco took are of us while we were eating which we ended up just having our dinner at the bar instead. The last time I remembered the chicken Parmesan which was excellent. So we started off with the grilled prawns as a starters. Five prawns in a skewers and grilled with a delicious sauce accompanied. It was tasty and quite delicious. Decent size and meaty for each bite. Entrees was a little mishap as our meal was mistakenly given to the party next to us which they enjoyed. Honesty mistake but we laughed it off. Kitchen was informed and a rushed was put on our order. We weren't in a rush so it was fine with us. They apologized and graciously offered us a dessert after dinner. Something simple but very graceful for the honest mistake. Entrees, the wild mushrooms pasta which was quite tasty and pretty decent in size. The cream sauce which wasn't too over powering the meal was great. Each bite was very tasty. Then there was the chicken Parmesan which why we were here and expecting. The last visit it was excellent with grilled broccolini, slices of tomatoes on top and mozzarella cheese and onto spaghetti pasta. It was great. Thinking it would be the same this time which it wasn't. This visit, it was just served with squash pasta and buffalo mozzarella on top. Honestly it wasn't what I expected, somewhat of a little disappointed. Chicken was good don't get me wrong. But the hot meat with sauce and then you have literally COLD squash pasta paired with it. It was a little underwhelming. Overall, we still had a nice experience. The place was pretty full and of course the lakers were on so it was fun seeing everyone cheering them on. Bar seating for a meal was great as we had fun conversations with both Gabriel and Francisco. Plus they were cranking them drinks out one by one. Excellent in what they do. The drinks were great, grilled prawns and wild mushrooms pastas were excellent. Chicken parm, this time was a miss. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Also the dessert, highly recommend the Cinnabon with vanilla ice cream. Wow, it went down very well. Hoping next time will outdo this.
