The chicken sandwich was okay. Juicy yet somehow the breading lacked depth. Decent size. But for a place that specializes in chicken, I'd expect a more unique flavor. Or just more flavor in general. The french fries were generic best. The only flavor came from the seasoning which was not evenly distributed. There were a couple other places in the food hall with better fries.

First time here and it was delicious! Made fresh to order and able to customize. I got the hot and honestly, wasn't as hot as I was expecting. Next time I'll get hotter. Fries were crinkly and delicious too. Service was super nice and quick! There's plenty of seating available (during the week at least) both inside and out.

When you got that craving for a delicious chicken sandwich, Jay Bird's Chicken is a must! I went with the Mac Daddy w/ medium heat. It was just perfect for me. And that chicken breast was juicy with every bite Located inside the LBC Hanger, you can either have your meal at the counter/bar or join the others in the central food court dining area...or if the weather permits, enjoy the outdoor seating I just happen to pick the perfect time as I was able to get in and out fairly quickly. Thanks to the staff for the friendly service.

Located inside the Hangar, there are a bunch of food options to choose from and if you're craving a solid chicken sandwich, Jay Bird's Chicken will hit the spot. They churn out orders pretty quickly and this place seems to be one of the more popular spots inside the food hall. I got the traditional chicken sandwich with fries and I was pretty happy. The chicken was moist and juicy. not as crispy as I would've liked but it was fine. The fries were a little on the soggy side but that's probably because of the to-go box packaging. All in all, a solid spot for a chicken sandwich.

One of my favorite chicken sandwiches in town because of the spice levels being perfect to what I am craving. We usually go spicy hot and it never misses. The side sauce is always great as well and pair great with the fries. Service is definitely the longest out of all the places to eat and the line is always long around lunch time. Ambiance is little too crowded and busy almost all the time. Definitely aim for non peak hours to enjoy.

Located inside a food hall with many other restaurants to choose from. I got the Mac Daddy Sandwich and Fries. The chicken was not super crispy. Mac and Cheese was relatively tasteless, it was more so there for texture. Fries were seasoned pretty well and fairly crispy. Portion size is pretty good, as I felt quite full after the meal. I ordered medium and it was not spicy in my opinion, and I am pretty good with spice. After tax the sandwich was maybe $17 give or take Rating: Overall, I'd give this place a 4.5/10. Relatively harmless and mid experience. Food was not special, and didn't really taste like anything. The price of $17 post tax brings the score down below mid. Probably would not come back but the meal was filling at least

If you're craving a chicken sandwich that actually delivers on flavor, Jay Bird's Chicken has you covered. The sandwich comes out hot, with a crispy golden crust that stays crunchy even after a few bites, and the chicken itself is juicy--not that dry, sad stuff you get elsewhere. They've nailed the seasoning too, so every bite is satisfying without being overpowering. The seasoned fries are no afterthought--they're hot, crispy, and perfectly spiced, the kind of side you actually finish instead of picking at. Service is quick and friendly, and the place has a laid-back vibe that works whether you're grabbing food to go or eating in. It's not overcomplicated--just really solid, well-made chicken and fries. I'll be back.

I'll keep this review short and sweet. The food here is LEGIT! Everything is made fresh right in front of you. They season the chicken. They season the fries. The food came out hot, spicy, and flavorful! Prices are reasonable and you get generous portions. I was very impressed very impressed with how juicy the chicken filet was, they cooked it to perfection! Highly recommend you get a side of ranch and comeback sauce to go along with the food. Next time I want to try the big sexy sauce and probably will go for the hot level to really bring some kick and spice to my tastebuds! Lastly, the service here was great and there is plenty of seating inside The Hangar and also outside.

The chicken was delicious! The Smokey ketchup was also yummy. Mac and cheese was good but personally could have used a touch of salt. Fries weren't anything special, could have been a little crispier. Overall, it was good and I'd try the sandwich if I'm back in town!

OMG!!! Tried Jay Birds chicken for the first time today and I'm OBSESSED!!!! The portions are huge so I have left overs!! The only down side is the limited seating but luckily I was able to find some empty chairs and squeezed into a table. Another downside, I'm not really a fine of lemonade or tea (which are the only drink options) so I walked around to find another drink of my liking. I would maybe even recommend bringing your own drink but I know that's not necessary since lemonade and tea are very popular and most people like it.

Man this place use to be fire crispy fries crispy chicken with great flavor I have not been here for a year or two but told everyone in Long Beach this is where is at....... Not anymore raw fries not even crispy chicken is soggy Idn what happened but I use to compare this place to howlin rays now ......... I think id prefer a spicy chicken sandwich from jack and the box. There use to be such a long line and I got excited there was no line but then realized the Korean place ..... the sandwich place all had long lines welp another one that was good has died upsetting but spend your money elsewhere its fast food average the employees are to busy eating the food and making waffles to eat welp no longer coming back here to bulgogi burrito or Ike's I go

Yum!!! I got the blazin fries and I would definitely recommend. I loved the mild and the mac is great with the fries and chicken. I prefer this to crimson coward ! Its in a indoor mall type place with 10 other food shops so you can come with your family and all get your cravings satisfied!

Fast and friendly service. I wasn't sure what to eat for lunch and decided to walk around the Hanger to see what the other patrons were eating. Most tables had boxes from Jay Bird's, so I decided to try them (was a great decision). Got some crispy tenders on top of a slice of toast with two little waffles on the side. Was the perfect amount for lunch!

One visit we waited over 40 minutes without being acknowledged, another time our order came out wrong, and another time the food arrived cold like it had been sitting for quite a while. Because of that, I honestly did not want to come back tonight. But I was craving a good steak, and after my husband suggested giving 908 another try, I reluctantly agreed. I noticed the filet mignon on the menu paired with broccolini and decided to go for it. From the moment we walked in, the experience felt completely different. The hostess was warm and welcoming and seated us immediately. A young man came over right away with waters and took our drink order, which already surprised us in the best way. Then Alex S came to our table, and he truly made the night exceptional. He was friendly, attentive, and incredibly helpful in making sure my order was exactly how I wanted it. I mentioned that I didn't want a large piece of butter melting over the steak, and he happily accommodated that request. He even checked on the exact ounce size of the filet for me, which I appreciated. We ordered the Brussels sprouts appetizer, and honestly, they were the best Brussels sprouts we've ever had. Perfectly cooked, not drowning in sauce, and absolutely packed with flavor. My 8 oz filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium rare, exactly as ordered. The broccolini was crisp, fresh, and not overly oily. Everything tasted thoughtful, balanced, and worth every dollar. Most importantly, Alex S delivered spectacular service from start to finish. We were genuinely shocked to learn this was his first night shift because he handled the dining room with professionalism, warmth, and confidence far beyond what we expected. Thank you, Alex S, for completely changing our impression of 908. Tonight's experience was excellent, and for the first time, we are actually excited to come back. Thanks again, Jed Dornoff

Tell me to meet you somewhere and I'll be there. Simple as that and less stress for me. Anyways, that's how we ended up at this place. Trying to find happy hour with food in the area was somewhat a challenge. Either they were finishing up or it wasn't that interesting on the menu. Of course some places offered amazing drink deals but no food. We ended up here actually across the street still looking up for places but the rooftop patio was what caught our attention. The restaurant itself looked bare as there was no one inside. Still on the early side but noticing people going in and then heading up stairs. After a few debates on here and there, we gave up and found our way here. Checked in with the host, letting him know that we just wanted happy hour upstairs. It was about two flights of stairs which the place looked quite industrial with all the metal beams and stairs. Downstairs was beautiful but completely emptied. Everyone wanted to utilize the rooftop patio as it was beautiful out. We were greeted by someone which mentioned to us that any bar seating was available. There was a section towards the back that was pretty lively. I think it was booked for a group. Instead of the bar area, we asked to sit along the rooftop counter that looks out to the street and building across the street. Way better view and perfect way to spend the afternoon hours. Staff were all pretty sweet and very friendly. Whatever we needed they were they to help. Both the regular menu and happy hour menu were quite impressive. As we just wanted HH, it was given. They had drink special for 10.00 and small bites for 10.00 as well. Didn't hesitate and started off with some drinks. The red sangria with mixed fruits was a nice clean and refreshing treat. Tasteful without that aftertaste. And the Le Pistolet Fumant, a delectable tasty drink with mezcal with a hint of pineapple. And other well drink that was perfect for a nice afternoon. HH drink special was quite tasty to start off. Food wise, started off with an order of the Caesar salad, simple but delicious. Fresh crisp Romaine lettuce and slices of Parmesan and crouton bits. Nice crunch with each bite. The dressing, wow pretty tasty. And an order of the Mac and Cheese . Most places it's either a hit or a miss and let me say it was a HIT. Quite cheesy and full of flavors that a second order was had. A dish I do recommend for HH. We also had an order of the Brussels sprouts which was excellent. A nice glaze and crunchy with chunks of house cured pancetta. Nice big chunks I must say. Lastly the beef sliders with Wagyu beef patties. Honestly, this was the least favorite of the dishes we got. You would think it sounded great but it was quite tasteless and nothing major to report on. Served with brioche bun and shredded lettuce and tomatoes and a lemon aioli. I had high hope for it when I saw the group next to us order it but it was a little disappointing. Overall, the Mac and cheese, Caesar salad and Brussels sprouts were all hits. The sliders, disappointing. Other items on HH didn't look too ingesting for us but it was for other people. The rooftop lounge and bar area was the place to be when we were there. It picked up real fast after we got seated. Picnic style tables being occupied by large groups before HH ended. Just the rooftop alone was great and beautiful. It a place that's good for a drink and meal with friends. Downstairs was beautiful but seemed more of an intimate experience. Overall, it was a great choice for a meal during HH.

Bristy, our server, thoroughly explained the details of certain dishes such as the Mac & Cheetos. She also checked in on our table throughout the meal and came around often to refill our water. As for the food itself, it was very delicious. My favorite dish was the artichokes. They had a somewhat smoky flavor and the outermost leaves were crunchy and a nice contrast to the soft inside of the artichokes. They were also served in a tangy sauce that complimented the vegetable well. My friend's favorite item was the macaroni and cheese. It was chewy and creamy, and the pasta, which Bristy informed us was made in-house, was what my friend thought elevated the dish because it was a nice texture. We additionally ordered the gumbo which was also tasty but not as yummy as the other two dishes that we ordered. It is not a spicy dish if one is concerned about spice level. There is inside seating what looks like a converted house? There is outside seating at tables or at the bar. The menu was interesting which had a theme of shrimp; there was eggs Benedict with shrimp, but not an item to order a regular one without it? Sure maybe could have ordered and asked without shrimp but pay the same price? Pass. Ok when I called they mentioned they serve brunch until 3? 3:30 I can't remember. The server mentioned they serve the brunch all day? Either way when I got to ordering this month on the menu it highlighted the shrimp po boy. I tried to order and nope, out. How can you be out of the item highlighted as the special in the middle of the day? When the place is not packed? I tried to order the lobster roll and again, out. I was tempted to order their short rib poutine since in theory it sounded good, but at this point I tried something simple I would hope they have in the kitchen chicken and waffles. The plate came and it looks good. If you look at the picture at the bottom of the chicken you can see a dark something. As I lift my chicken I found a huge burnt piece of breading pictured next. On top of the chicken is green onion I think? Who eats that with chicken and waffles? If I am wrong, a garnish is totally unnecessary for this dish. The chicken was moist. There are spices in the flour breading I can see but hard to taste what it is. The waffle is a hard pass for me. The waffle was crispy which is good, but also thin and dry and I couldn't taste any sweetness until I put maple syrup on it. The syrup came out warm which was nice. It's clear watching the people at the bar this is a local hangout. The chicken and waffles were $19 which if I was in the bay I think it's about right, but I think a little high considering the level of food I got. Supposedly this place is packed specifically on Sundays. The server doesn't know why? I'm not interested to even try to come back for a second chance and just be told sold out of the menu.

Trying several items on the menu provided us a nice sampling of what they have to offer. We enjoyed everything we ordered. The final item ordered was a mushroom pasta with shrimp. The shrimp were fantastic with a light char and perfect flavoring. The pasta was good. It was a bit to spicy for me with the chili oil so I only had a small portion. The inside is simple yet inviting with an open layout. They seemed a bit short staffed, but every one was hustling and honestly we were well taken care of. Sad I won't have another opportunity to try more of the menu, but grateful to squeeze in this visit before they close in about a week.

It's been a while since the last time I've visited for dinner and drinks. This time, we stopped by…read moreSaturday evening with no reservations. It did look quite busy on the patio when we checked in with the hostess. We were informed that it would prob be about 20 minutes or so for a table and if we wanted to wait at the bar. Exactly what we did. Bar area had maybe 5/6 hi top chairs that look onto the bar. Gabriel and Francisco who were working was knocking the drinks out one by one. Sitting there and just watching them create magic for everyone, it was quite amusing. Seeing how it's made and presented with precise detail, it was an art. While waiting for the table we started off with the raspberry lychee martini and the spicy margaritas. Both were great. The right amount of kick with each sip. Gabriel was knocking them out one by one and man was he busy. Fransisco took are of us while we were eating which we ended up just having our dinner at the bar instead. The last time I remembered the chicken Parmesan which was excellent. So we started off with the grilled prawns as a starters. Five prawns in a skewers and grilled with a delicious sauce accompanied. It was tasty and quite delicious. Decent size and meaty for each bite. Entrees was a little mishap as our meal was mistakenly given to the party next to us which they enjoyed. Honesty mistake but we laughed it off. Kitchen was informed and a rushed was put on our order. We weren't in a rush so it was fine with us. They apologized and graciously offered us a dessert after dinner. Something simple but very graceful for the honest mistake. Entrees, the wild mushrooms pasta which was quite tasty and pretty decent in size. The cream sauce which wasn't too over powering the meal was great. Each bite was very tasty. Then there was the chicken Parmesan which why we were here and expecting. The last visit it was excellent with grilled broccolini, slices of tomatoes on top and mozzarella cheese and onto spaghetti pasta. It was great. Thinking it would be the same this time which it wasn't. This visit, it was just served with squash pasta and buffalo mozzarella on top. Honestly it wasn't what I expected, somewhat of a little disappointed. Chicken was good don't get me wrong. But the hot meat with sauce and then you have literally COLD squash pasta paired with it. It was a little underwhelming. Overall, we still had a nice experience. The place was pretty full and of course the lakers were on so it was fun seeing everyone cheering them on. Bar seating for a meal was great as we had fun conversations with both Gabriel and Francisco. Plus they were cranking them drinks out one by one. Excellent in what they do. The drinks were great, grilled prawns and wild mushrooms pastas were excellent. Chicken parm, this time was a miss. Overall, we enjoyed our meal and cocktails. Also the dessert, highly recommend the Cinnabon with vanilla ice cream. Wow, it went down very well. Hoping next time will outdo this.
