We've been coming here since they opened. The sandwiches are inconsistent at best. Today was the worst so far. I ordered online, picked it up and got home and this is how it looked inside. All the cheese was unmelted on one side and the other side had most of the meat and the bread was soggy. I called the store and asked them to remake it and went in and showed them how it looked. This past month, Jersey Mike's had a promo in the app where if you ordered a sub in the app, you get a free sandwich! Or at least 72 Shore Points added to your account, which would be enough for a free sandwich. I didn't know about this promo until one of my Yelp friends posted it in her activity feed, but considering that you'd normally need to purchase 6 giant sandwiches, 12 regular sandwiches, or 18 mini sandwiches to make 72 Shore Points, I thought it was a great opportunity that shouldn't be passed up! This Jersey Mike's is at Long Beach Towne Center, where navigating around the parking lot can be in and of itself quite the labyrinth, and not to mention headache! They're on the east side of the shopping center in the building to the left of Barnes & Noble. I went on a weekend lunch, so needless to say, it got pretty busy, especially with the impending holiday season. I had a little bit of lunch at home and wanted the second half of my lunch to be a mini sub from Jersey Mike's. There are a few Jersey Mike's closer to me; the only reason I chose this one was because it was closest to where I was planning to volunteer shortly after lunch. I went with the #2 Jersey Shore's Favorite, which has provolone, ham, and cappacuolo. If you're not familiar with Jersey Mike's rewards program, the number of Shore Points you receive in one order isn't dependent on how much you spend on a sandwich, but rather, what size sandwich you get. In other words, a regular sandwich that costs $10.29 would earn the same number of points as a regular sandwich that costs $12.49. I arrived a couple minutes before my scheduled pickup time, and the employee closest to the front door looked in my direction and asked if I was here for pickup. I said yes and told her my name. She turned around, grabbed a bag with a tamper-proof sticker holding my receipt, and handed it to me without much of an appreciation for my business. Her demeanor was like whatever, so even though there weren't any tables inside that were occupied, I chose to eat in my car since I was afraid she'd call me out for letting my phone eat first, something that has become second nature to me. I took the sandwich back to my car to eat, thinking the sandwich would be easy to eat. I made that inference after seeing a photo of a mini sub in the app; it almost makes a mini sandwich look like a burger or a chicken sandwich! However, the sandwich was hastily prepared that I would have guessed a kid had assembled it! It was cut into two, which isn't what I requested since I thought the sandwich would be whole. In addition, the sandwich was super soggy! Like I know I requested for the sandwich to be prepared Mike's Way with olive oil blend and red wine vinegar. However, they doused my sandwich with waaayyyyyy too much liquid that the wrapper became soooo soggy! With everything mentioned in the previous paragraph, it made eating the sandwich in my car difficult while keeping my hands clean. The wrapper got too flimsy with sandwich toppings all over the place, and I unfortunately dropped a couple in my car. It could have been avoided had the sandwich been more meticulously crafted in the kitchen. I customized my sandwich by requesting some extra vegetables as well as spicy brown mustard. The vegetables did taste fresh, but I barely saw any of the spicy brown mustard in my sandwich! Also, while I was unwrapping the sandwich, I saw a tomato slice that wasn't even close to being inside the sandwich. What kind of sloppy prep work is that?! While the Jersey Shore's Favorite was certainly not my favorite, I did enjoy the taste of the sandwich nonetheless, and it's the reason why I'm not giving 1 star. However, with how unvalued I felt as a customer from order pickup to how they prepared my sandwich, I do not plan to return to this location. I did get the 72 points as promised per the promotion, but I'll be redeeming my free sandwich at a different Jersey Mike's location instead. read more

Went in for lunch and needed a quick grab and go. Jersey Mike's does not disappoint. The best sandwiches and no matter which location you go to there is consistency on the sandwich build. They are located in the Long Beach shopping plaza so there is ample parking. read more

This place opened up here earlier this year and every time I pass by, it's always empty. I drove by here today and was hungry and remembered I had a coupon for a sandwich expiring soon, so I thought, "why not give it a try?". I came in and looked at the menu, but didn't really know which sub to order. They have a section for cold ones and then a section for hot ones. You cannot ask for your sandwich toasted if you get it hot by the way. The workers were really nice and patient with me. They honestly looked really bored and happy to have work to do lol. One of the workers behind the counter suggested me which ones to try or get. I went with the Cali Club, she said it is one of their most popular items on the menu. It is basically the #7 Turkey and Provolone but with avocado and bacon. It was delicious ! I enjoyed it because of the turkey they threw in, usually a BLT seems so bland because it only has three items in it but this one was loaded. And I am gonna say right now, they PACK the sandwich with meat. They cut the turkey right in front of me and put it in my sandwich, something that I liked and gives it a fresher feeling. Also, it's good to know they don't skimp out on the protein portions here :) They throw lettuce, tomato and red onion on every sandwich, with some vinegar and salt/pepper. A unique take on making a sub, but I welcome it nonetheless. You can also add jalapeños, banana pepper, and pickles, as well as mayo and some other condiments. After that I sat down and ate my sandwich in their empty seating area which was quite clean. Jersey Mike's is a very solid place to grab a sub. So we were trying to make an order online but ASAP for a pick up said 45minutes! That seems a lot of you just want to pick up soon but idk. So we had to go in person to get our food faster. Also! I tried to order a #55 and the girl there said the grill was off, I asked what time they close she said 9pm, I asked then why is the grill off she stated because it was too hot. I asked if they turn it back on, she said no. I was forced to get a cold sub when I would have preferred a hot sub. This has the 1st time I have had a bad experience at this location. Strike 1for now, won't give up on this location just yet, I hope there is some improvement. My assumption was that they just didn't want to turn on the grill because it was already clean and they are ready to leave as soon as 9 hits. STORE OWNER IS UNPROFESSIONAL & DOESN'T OFFER REFUND BACK TO ORIGINAL PAYMENT! Ordered online and picked it up in store. Brought the food home and the sandwich was made wrong (after the minimum wage went up to $20 an hour lol). I reached out to customer service the day of (April 12th) and was told that I could get credit in the app (so the company can keep the $) or the store owner can reach out to me if I wanted to receive a refund back to the original payment. I decided to have them refund me back to my card. I did not hear from the store owner so I sent customer service another email on (May 2nd) letting them know. They apologized and informed me that they were going to reach out to the owner again. Now it's (May 14th) and I STILL have not heard from the owner. I've been beyond patient, just sounds like the store owner doesn't care to keep their customers happy. Ordered food from this location on door dash around 6pm. Waited til 8pm to finally receive my food. That is not a door dashers fault. I was messaging said dasher and he informed me that they had not made my sandwiches yet when he arrived and that he was waiting on them. He himself also said "store is terrible" and "it's taking them a while because they don't have supplies" Not only did they take 2hrs. They did not provide my dasher with my drink and lastly when it came to eating my sandwich. One side had no tomato. And the other side had onions AND tomato's. Which I did request. Overall. The most annoying part is how sloppy she made the sandwich, the bread was not cut properly and forgetting one of the main ingredients is unacceptable! Typical Mike's quality at a new convenient location. The staff seems efficient and are super nice. There is very limited seating at this location, it's really more of a to go situation. Parking is odd (it's the Town Center), you have to cross the roadway from parking further down near the bookstore. Unless of course you want to jump a hedge. Ordered a Giant sub online when I had COVID, so my wife went to pick it up for me. When she got home it was only regular size. Called in and Carter answered the phone. I told him what happened and he was unable to refund me. He asked if we could drive back to get the other half. No, I won't drive back, gas costs money, and my wife is helping carry the load while I had COVID. So Carter said he would leave a note by the register and give me a free regular next time I came in. Went in today and not only was there no note, but even after conveying the story to the staff, they refused to honor what was owed. I drove here tonight at 8:45 for a philly steak & cheese sub. When we walked in the guy working there told us we can't have any hot subs because he already cleaned the grill. You close at 9! The whole menu should be available UNTIL 9. Workers should not be cleaning and putting everything away early and then telling customers stuff isn't available. read more
