By far the slowest Chick-fil-A I've ever been to. Takes 20 mins to get food and then have to wait once getting to the window

Slowest location for Chick-fil-a in America. Be prepared to sit for 30 mins or more no matter the time of day.

I liked the food but it took a long time. It's usually clean but sometimes I see children mocking me in the playground.

Always good! Very crowded location, but reasonable wait times. The parking lot was expanded recently for better parking.

But the real winner was the basket of perfectly cooked (blubber-free) wings with zesty flavor! I have driven by this tidy little bar & burger joint at least a hundred times in the past few years but until two Saturdays ago, the opportunity to check out Perfect Timing just didn't fit perfectly into my schedule. But on that day, I needed to deliver some stuff to my son when both of us were pressed for time and fairly hungry. Perfect Timing is located roughly halfway between our houses, so it turns out that Perfect Timing was the perfect place too. We were the second customers in the place at 11:30 am. Waitress was super friendly & helped us sort through the innovative combos on the burger menu. We took our seats at a hightop table and sipped our draft beers -- at a perfect price ($5 for a Miller Lite) -- and watched the cook in the back as he prepped our custom-made burgers. No frozen prefab factory burgers here, folks, just honest-to-goodness primo ground beef and fresh ingredients. We also ordered a basket of wings with varying toppings. The wings came out to the table first and we thoroughly enjoyed them. FINALLY, a restaurant that gets it right with wings: crispy on the breading and tender on the inside, sizzling with flavor! The wings were fantastic! About that time, we could hear rumbling in the parking lot. Not your typical thunderstorm as I had first assumed, but a couple dozen assorted Harleys and road trikes rolling in for a charity ride to help a neighbor struggling with health issues. In the space of about 15 minutes, some thirty adults and kids (this was mostly a family biker group) breezed through the place, displaying a level of polite respect and good manners that would make Emily Post proud. After everyone had finished snacks, drinks and restroom, they hopped on their bikes and headed out. Talk about perfect timing again! We finished our lunch and agreed that when it comes to enjoying a terrific burger in a simple setting, Perfect Timing is the perfect place.

I don't like leaving low ratings; I understand that it is someones livelihood. That being said,…read morethe food here is not good. Me and two coworkers went here for lunch to mix it up and try something new. When we walked in, the hostess rang us up as a party even though the first guy said he just wanted to pay for himself; whatever, we sorted it out among ourselves later. There is a buffet that serves southern food. Fried chicken, fried catfish, baked chicken, spaghetti, liver, dressing, mashed potatoes etc. Also offer a salad bar. The food was criminally underseasoned. Everything needed salt - I'm not sure if they keep it saltless to cater to the older people who make up the majority of their customers or what. Tried a lot of stuff looking for good food and I didn't find much. Fried chicken had too much breading, the breading tasted unseasoned. Dressing was very dry and had a consistency of cornmeal, you touched dit and it broke apart. Mashed potatoes were definitely instant mashed potatoes and not a good brand. Spaghetti sauce had a little meat in it, but tasted like stewed tomatoes. Cornbread was dry and unsweetened. Roll was OK. Green beans casserole was good. Coworker said liver and boiled cabbage was good, said catfish was bad and "none of it was great". Salad bar looked fresh. Another coworker had asked us to bring her back some dessert: when I sent her a picture of the desert bar, she changed her mind. They serve Pepsi products and offer sweet tea. Waitress was nice and we had pretty decent service. Buffet area was kept clean and stocked at all times. Would not return.

Started with fried chicken, Mac and cheese, fries, green beans and a grilled pork chop. The fries just came out when I was there but they were cold and soggy. Fried chicken was ok, Mac and cheese was missing a cheese with flavor. Beans and pork chop were edible but not as tasty as they should have been. Went back to try the catfish, wish I hadn't. Was cold, slightly undercooked and had no flavor at all. Thanks for tartar sauce for flavor. Had the carrot cake which turned out to be the best part of the meal. The restaurant was clean, staff friendly but the food was underwhelming.

It was also a food truck for a time; I don't know if the food truck is still operating. The owner recently opened a restaurant in the Winchester Road area too. My eye was caught after the food truck was featured on an Al.com article a while ago, but this iteration of Niyah's was the easiest to access since idk about the truck status anymore. As I mentioned, the restaurant is inside a Texaco on South Parkway. There's no huge signage for it but Google Maps will get you there reliably. There's a smoker out front, which I interpret as a good sign. The food is stored in a hot bar to the left when you walk in. The selection changes daily but some things seem fairly reliably available, like the fried chicken. The lady working didn't acknowledge me for a bit -- I think she was watching something on her phone since they were slow -- but I think she genuinely didn't see me at first; I don't think she was being rude. When I sort of poked my head around the corner she hopped up instantly and was friendly and apologetic. She was warm and kind. I'll be honest, I was a little nervous about the food just because a hot bar isn't really the best vehicle for pretty presentation. I got my order to go and it was placed in a styrofoam box and then a plastic bag. I don't think they have beverages but of course you can grab practically anything to drink from the gas station. I think they forgot to put utensils in my bag, which would've been annoying if I weren't headed home to eat anyway. I got the fried chicken, fried okra, smoked macaroni and cheese, and a roll (cornbread was also offered). Despite my concerns over the appearance in the hot bar, the food was quite yummy! The fried chicken was very crispy and well-seasoned and still plenty moist. Note: I wasn't offered the opportunity to select what piece of meat I wanted, so my husband wound up with some bonus wings that I didn't want, lol. If you're picky about that, definitely pay attention. About half of the okra pieces were a tiny bit soggy but the other half was yummy and crunchy -- they did seem a little old/reheated though. Definitely my least favorite thing. The roll was standard but soft and enjoyable. The shining star for me was the smoked macaroni and cheese. It was delicious! Super flavorful, both in cheesiness and in smokiness. The price was a little high, but you could easily split a meal with someone else (or have leftovers) and the food quality and taste definitely delivered. Give them a try! I look forward to trying out the new restaurant, too.

As we pulled in, I saw a large smoker by the entrance. I could smell the hint of smoked meats. We went inside and to the left of the store is a small takeout business with warmers inside a glass case. We looked at the menu and were warmly greeted by the owner. He named off all the foods he had for sale. He sells meat and 2 plates. We picked out several items to try since the food is supposed to be great. Hubs wanted brisket, fried chicken and smothered chicken. Then he ordered dressing, fried okra, green beans, collard greens, broccoli rice, macaroni and cheese and pinto beans. We brought our foods home to try. We have eaten southern foods since the early 70's Both of us were born and raised outside Alabama. Neither of us has ever eaten foods this salty. There is no other way to explain how salty the foods are. I took my blood pressure and the top number was 121. After eating a few bites, my top number was up almost 40 points. This food is the saltiest I have had. It was terrible in my opinion. The cornbread is very sweet. Close your eyes, take a bite and it resembles a dense cake. Put sweet cornbread in the dressing and it tastes like sweet dressing. Not my cup of tea. I do have friends who like sweet cornbread and sweet grits. Many of us like what we grew up eating. My husband and I did not grow up eating southern foods. If you read my reviews, you know I select pinto beans and turnip greens with cornbread every single time I go to a meat and 2 place. If they don't have turnip greens, I select collard greens and if they don't have pinto beans, I select navy beans or black eyed peas. I try many meat and 2 places all the time and they are not as salty as this food. The smoked brisket was ok but had way too much salt. The fried chicken was moist and very salty. The smothered chicken was not good. Way too much salt on the chicken and the gravy tasted like salt. All I tasted was salt with the different taste of sweet with respect to the cornbread and dressing. I cannot give a high rating for the food due to the high salt content. This food is saltier than any Japanese, Korean or Chinese restaurant I have ever been to. I know there are many people who like the food there. It has to come down to what we are accustomed to eating when we grew up. The owner was friendly and personable and the portions are large but the food is extremely salty and was not enjoyable for us.
