While visiting The Gardens Mall, I needed refreshment, so I stopped by the Chick-fil-A counter inside The Gardens Café food court. I remembered that this month's seasonal flavor was Pineapple Dragonfruit, which I had previously tried and enjoyed. I order it in a lemonade, but it's also available in Sprite, iced tea, a Frosted Lemonade, and Sunjoy, Chick-fil-A's signature blend of sweet tea and lemonade. Since this is a food court location, you don't get the traditional Chick-fil-A experience of having your food brought to your table, but the friendly service is the same as in the restaurants. My usual order is the three piece chicken tender meal with honey mustard and those addicting waffle fries. If I'm trying to eat a little lighter, I'll choose one of their fresh salads or swap the fries for a fruit cup. I appreciate that Chick-fil-A offers healthier grilled chicken options alongside its fried chicken. You can enjoy your meal in the beautifully decorated food court or take it to go, as I did with my refreshing drink. I visited the mall specifically for the Yelp event at Venchi but had a hankering for Chick-Fil-A on my way out. I decided to place an order on the app. I ordered a small waffle fries and a large diet lemonade with light ice. They weren't very busy upon arrival so my order didn't take very long. The French fries were both fresh and hot. I appreciated the variety of sauces available for grab and go. Additionally, the staff followed instructions and my diet lemonade consisted of light ice per my request. Finally, the clerk who served me was both efficient and friendly. Ordered curbside says it was delivered. Asked me how they did. Food was never delivered. Then the app said 4 to 8 more minutes time estimated to deliver. I was humiliated and made fun of by an employee (a trainer based on the color of polo shirt) who looked at the tag on my drink on the to go counter (I was still waiting for my food) and pointed and laughed at my name. I literally heard him say my name out loud and laugh. He then tapped one of his co-workers and told him "check out this name," said my name again and they proceeded to laugh. We went for bread first thing. I love chick fil a bbut after eating here a few times it's the worst one. Coffee a half cup I took it back to get a normal serving. I ordered derlivery through the ChikFilA App, due to the Northlake location being under construction it routes it to the Gardens Mall location and switched delivery over to DoorDash (where orders are always screwed up). My food was delivered, delivery was great, order missing items. Order is put together, packaged and sealed by chikfila, however they say there is nothing they can do because they swapped it out with DoorDash, even though I ordered through the ChikFilA App directly. All I know is there was a major controversy from their founder/president (nature of which I will not repeat) but I was curious about the franchise since I've heard good things about the food. Staff was extremely helpful in assisting me with making my selection, from the food to the sauce pairing. I'm a dork and forgot my food on the counter because I was thinking bout the work. This, like all other Chick-Fil-A's, is a great restaurant. Staff was incredibly friendly and food was served promptly. Despite there being a good amount of people in line, everyone was dealt with in a quick an efficient manner. My food was prepared well and tasted even better. The thing about Chick-Fil-A that I notice is that the preparation of their food is consistent at all locations I have been too, so despite this being fast food you are still getting a quality meal. A staff member even went as far as to clear my table for me after I was done eating, despite this establishment being in a food court. All in all I would eat here again. read more
