This is a super unassuming bbq spot hidden in a strip mall. We ordered 1/3 lb brisket and 1/3 lb pulled pork. It was way more than enough for the two to us! For sides we got Mac n cheese and collard greens. A Cornbread muffin. And a Mixed berry Cobbler for dessert. Everything was truly outstanding. That brisket was so good. Loved the sauces at the table which were fun to try the different options and complemented the pulled pork really nicely. Was really pleasantly surprised by the staff. Came here for the first time on Friday for lunch - they were running a Philly Cheesesteak special and wanted to give it a try! It was made with brisket, sauteed peppers & onions, and topped with a poblano cheese sauce. I am not huge on these type of subs because in my past experience, the bread gets too soggy for me to enjoy. But I was pleasantly surprised when it didn't! I did end up eating it like open face sandwiches cause there was too much meat to close it - but that's not a bad problem to have lol! We also ordered a couple of sides - mac n cheese and potato salad - good! We also got some of the jalapeno cheddar sausage - great flavor and spice level! It's the kind of restaurant that you walk up to the window, order what you'd like, and then they prepare and have it for you either at check our or give you a number for your table, so they can bring it out to you. Everyone that worked there was friendly and helpful! It definitely felt like a BBQ place when you walked in, but a touch bit more of a modern feel. Saw NEVS in PBG on DDD and decided to try it. Good decision. Easy to find and lots of parking in the shopping center. Didn't notice on DDD that you got in line to order, get, and pay but very efficient. Limited seating and half of it is communal seating at big tables. Usually fun though. Food is off a limited menu (and baby backs Saturday only) but every item was excellent. Burnt ends were so tender and very tasty. Brisket was awesome. Our dinner companion had the BBQ sandwich with enough BBQ "stew" for 3 buns and he loved it. Cole slaw different from any I've had before but delicious. Think your first corn muffin comes with your meal. Our best decision was getting extra to take home. Breakfast muffin with coffee was a big NEVS bonus (ask for 2 butters. Entree meats sold by weight. You walk in towards the counter and order. You first order your meat. I wasn't sure if I wanted a sandwich or platter and was told the corn bread is great so I went with a platter. You walk down the counter and order your side. The continue to walk towards the cash register. The pulled pork is absolutely delicious. Each table has three sauces you can put on your meat. It lives up to the hype! What a great spot and experience we had today. I first had their Brisket, part of a breakfast sandwich at the Pumphouse in WPB. It's kind of an injustice on how flavorful this brisket fresh from the restaurant. This is definitely my top three in briskets I've tried in my lifetime. Tommy the owner was there and does share his customer service skills. He does go around and would ask if you enjoyed your meal. Along with the employees that go table to table to check on your experience. We also tried a Sausage sandwich which was perfect. And the baked beans and a Fire Mac and Cheese. Everything was great. Can't believe we took so long to try it out. The brisket was incredible and my wife had the pulled pork, also great. The Mac n cheese was super cheesy and creamy with twisted macaroni. I had the cole slaw which had an unusual flavor to me but I really liked it. It's not your regular cole slaw. SERVICE: Manager was leading and training as we approach the counter. He did some clarifications and answers all our questions. Three to four young ladies ran registers, fixing the sides, and filling the soda machine with ice. They knew what they were doing. Several working back the kitchen. Good hires. Well trained. High five, NEV & managers! FOOD: We ordered two platters. Each with 1/3 lb protein + side + cornbread + soda each. Hubs order brisket + BBQ beans. I ordered the pulled pork + side green salad with maple pumpkin seed vinaigrette with cornbread croutons. For me, it was perfect balance of sweet and heat. I was very happy! Having had takeout a couple times from here , I thought it was just OK. (I hate when people review based on takeout) So, I have been here 3 times in the last 10 months and I really enjoy it. Quick, clean, friendly, and delicious. Sad that they were closed last night by 6pm, so I had to try something else (not nearly as good). The pork is moist and delicious, no chunks of fat, perfectly smoked and has what appears to be a South Carolina mustard sauce mixed in. I can't judge most of the sides because I don't eat mayo, but the pickles are excellent, vinegary and tangy and the cornbread is perfect every time. Try it out, it's worth the trip. read more

Made it back to Nevs. Real BBQ in Florida is not that easy to find. Nevs is real Texas BBQ! Shared 2/3 lb. of brisket and a couple of sausages with a buddy. Overall, a good experience. The sausage was excellent and the brisket top notch. My only complaint was that we were served about 75% point, and a small bit of the flat. While this wouldn't normally bother me, it was not trimmed enough which resulted in a large chunk of fat which was inedible. The additional fattiness also resulted in an unappetizing puddle of grease on the tray and under the sausage. Flavor was totally on point, but that resulted in a 4 star review and not a 5. It may have been a one-off, so I'd certainly try them again. The cole slaw, beans, and cornbread were all excellent! I'd recommend your visiting NEVS if you're in the area. read more

I don't know what happened to this place but the last time I came here I last year some time it was delicious. Today everything we had was not worth going back. We went on a Saturday since that is the only day they do baby back ribs. We ordered them. They serve them cut into pieces on a plate for you... odd. Horrible presentation, just looked like someone threw scraps on our plate. As she was cutting, "I said those look dry", she said "they are super moist." So we brought them to the table and when I say they were beyond dry I mean they could have been from last weeks dry. I had the brisket which I had the end cut, not willingly. One piece was ok, chewy but I could make it work. But the second piece was horrible, probably because it was the end piece. We make it a combo and got the Mac & cheese that was delicious last time. Idk what happened. It was as if they left it out all day without a cover and dried it up, didn't use salt. I had to pay for a muffin... I don't remember that before but idk ‍ it didn't look well done, but it was so dry. Over all we didn't have much to eat and left a bit hungry. Everything was so unappetizing. Ok, well we just got back from Austin and got to visit all the top BBQ spots. I also make BBQ a lot at the house. I'll say the best thing that we had was the brisket. I would give it a 6.5/10. The ribs were inedible. Not only were they tough and not even tender but They tasted like they were bathed in lighter fluid or propane. Didn't know any bbq place used lighter fluid. The burnt ends had a similar flavor though not as strong. The sweet tea wasn't even sweet. After eating at Franklins, La BBQ, KG, Coopers, ect. This place doesn't even rank in the same league. There is no hesitation, no beat skipped when someone asks where to get great BBQ in north palm...the answer is always Nevs. For some reason BBQ places seem to struggle with consistency, but Nevs does not. I tried regular bbq sauce on my brisket and I didn't like the taste , so I tried the brisket by it self and the smoke flavor was too overpowering the meat taste giving it a aftertaste in my mouth . I didn't like it! The turkey was moist and I did taste the smoke flavor but it wasn't overbearing the taste of the meat. I did try the Carolina sauce and I did notice the both sauces wasn't a thick sauce which I'm use too , but I didn't like this sauce either. The Mac and cheese was very good and had a little zing to it like a spiced sauce and Cole slaw also was very good with a little bit of spicy side to it. Just visited Nev's for lunch with my family. While this isn't my first time eating their brisket, it is the first time visiting the restaurant. To start, you can smell the bbq from the parking lot. The dining area is clean & the staff is friendly. They had a prime rib special but we opted for the brisket. The prime rib looked delicious but we came for the brisket. My husband and I shared brisket, mac n cheese, and Cole slaw. Delicious. The brisket was juicy and mostly tender. Always get the moist brisket. The Cole slaw is not too sweet and not too vinegary. Good mac n cheese. My daughter really loved it. My oldest daughter enjoyed her corn dog and French fries. If the food and staff weren't enough to make me want to come back, they had a separate room with a changing table and chair that could be used for nursing. How many restaurants have that?!? Discovered this place yesterday, I'm up in Palm Beach Gardens working ,great smell when you walked in ,lot to choose from. I like the idea everything is right behind glass in the open so you could see what you're getting. Staff couldn't be more friendly. Pickles are excellent potato salad looked a little different but I had to try it. It was very good mac & cheese right on point brisket was perfectly cooked. Not so crazy about the barbecue sauces. They had a lot of vinegar taste, but it's definitely worth a stop. I'd go there again for sure. read more

Hands down the best burnt ends this side of Oklahoma City! We made a to go order of the burnt ends platter with coleslaw and it was delicious - definitely a different recipe than traditional coleslaw. So good! The cornbread muffin was an added bonus! My full rack was sauced and very dry like they had been reheated in a microwave. The greens would be good but they recycle animal protein and add it to the greens, we could not make out what it was because it had no flavor. The meat was pretty good, I was pleasantly surprised. Texas good errrr nah but it's up there. Dude cut my brisket way too thick but otherwise had an almost acceptable level of moist/lean. The baked beans were entirely too darn sweet but had brisket in them. The second time I ate NEVS was a corporate sponsored group order so I got to taste more sides. The mac & cheese was barely ok but the "cole slaw" was diabolical. I couldn't do it! No ma'am!!! The brisket and sausage were consistent. Service was pretty friendly when I dined inside. All of the sides were tasty but had a slight twist to them, so if you only enjoy classics, might want to skip them.
