My fave was the Chick-fil-A sauce but I also liked the Honey Mustard sauce. The Buttermilk Ranch was okay and I wouldn't get the BBQ and Polynesian sauce again. The waffle fries were disapponting. Our craving for fried chicken lead us to this fast food restaurant. We typically do not consume anything that is made in under 30 seconds unless it's Pho. To our surprise they did not have any fried chicken on the menu aside from chicken nuggets, of course we should have researched the menu, but one would think a chicken fast-food establishment would have unhealthy fried chicken. So we ended up with the nuggets, waffle fries, chicken wrap and fresh lemonade. Immediately, I noticed that the nuggets were irregular in shape and size, indicating that they were not bits and pieces of chicken pulverized, then pressed to identical nuggets, as some fast food places serve. The nuggets were actually really moist and had the proper texture of chicken meat. The waffle fries were quite delicious, crispy and not greasy. The wrap was nothing special, but tasted fresh, although the tortilla was a bit dry. The fresh lemonade was on the sweet side; adding water made it more of a refreshing drink than a dessert and doubled our volume. A far as service is concerned, I was actually surprised by the politeness and attentiveness, as I did not expect much. The cashier actually said, "I'm delighted to bring the food to you!" I've been to this location several times and it's always the same: a comically long line and a wait of at least 30 minutes, from start to end. The Chik-fil-a in Fremont gets the same volume of customers (probably even more!) but they are extremely efficient. This location is the worst. The lines are incredibly long, and the last time I came here, we had to wait over 30 minutes AFTER ordering for my food. It was a little past lunch time, and I had my entire family with me. It was not fun dealing with our hungry boys. I get Chick-fil-A's are busy, but this is absurd. To add insult to injury, they didn't give any updates and mentioned they ran out of food due to a catering order. We just kept waiting and hearing "soon" for over 30 minutes after ordering (over 45 minutes in total including ordering). Are you kidding me?! You can't plan far enough in advance to have enough food for all your customers? We had no idea it would take this long, and they never even gave an update to buy other items off the menu. It would have been nice to feed our boys something, anything! The irony is that we were here with some makeup cards given to us for being over an hour late on our previous catering order. I even wrote in to let this location know about my experience. I was hoping they would try improving their operations, but I didn't get any responses (corporate confirmed they forwarded my feedback to list location). Whatever you do, AVOID this Chick-fil-A. go to another location even if it seems far away. I typically don't east fast food but once I heard about the hype of Chick-fil-A I knew that I needed to give it a shot. I am pretty lenient with In-n-Out so I was ready to see how Chick-fil-A would compare. Already I knew it was going to be a treat for me because I prefer chicken over beef. The place itself is very clean and doesn't give off your busy McDonalds setting. The menu is very clear and easy to read. I appreciate that they have all the sauces labeled by the register. We told them it was first time and they gave us one of each sauce so that we could try them all out. I decided on the #2 while my partner went with the #4. The meal comes with a drink and a medium side. We obviously went with the waffle fries. They'll give you a marker to set on your table if you're eating there. You can put your sauces inside of it so that it's easy to carry. I found this to be really creative. Your order will be brought out to you. I found my sandwich to be really good. It is one of the better chicken sandwiches I have had. It was very juicy and there wasn't too much breading. I thought the cheese was a little overpowering here and there, but I did like having it there. I appreciate the bright green lettuce and the juicy tomato slices. My partner thought his spicy chicken sandwich was slightly heavy on the breading, but found that the sandwich overall was pretty good. It was the waffle fries that really got to us. They are crisp on the outside so you get that satisfying crunch, but so soft on the inside. I don't mean soggy soft, but perfectly cooked potato soft. I like the ketchup packs here since it's easy to dip or squeeze. In regards to the sauces, we liked the honey mustard and the chick-fil-a sauces the best. I did like the BBQ and the ranch as well. I have never had Chick-Fil-A so I was really interested to find out they were going to be in my neighborhood. Politics aside, this review is solely for the food and service not based on their perspectives. Opening day led to a jam packed plaza, the drive- thru line went all the way across the plaza so my friend and I decided to park and wait in line. Once in line, it seemed like we'd be there forever but it went by fairly quickly. Once going over the menu, the cashier took my order and my drink was given to me there after paying. As I head over to grab some napkins and condiments, my name was called for my order in less than 5 minutes. Now that is the true meaning of "fast food". I had the #7 meal which was the Deluxe Spicy Chicken Sandwich with fries and Sweetened Iced Tea. The sandwich itself was pretty large in size, with fresh veg and indeed spicy. The fries were good and you get a large portion, I would say enough for two people to share. The Sweetened Iced Tea is similar to any other fast food joint, but went well with the meal. I didn't get a chance to try the various sauces they offer here, but maybe next time. The service is great, it's fast and hospitable. The workers are friendly and acknowledge you by name which makes your experience there that more pleasurable and makes you feel valued. I finally visited due to two friends boasting that this was the home of the "best chicken sandwich EVAR!" I am definitely disappointed. Also got a sweet tea, which Chick-Fil-A was the first place I'd ever tried it. After I paid, the young worker was filling my drinks, and my bag of goodies was already being handed to me! Super quick! Literally a minute had passed since she had rung up my order. In the past, they deliver it to your table, calling your name, which I saw them doing at times as well. Love all the various sauces, and the Chick-Fil-A sauce, a mustard like sauce is my favorite. Their other condiments out in the central area are all cute too, special ketchup packs and tabasco! It's a bit out of the way for us, but we finally made it down here at breakfast time to order our favorite item; chicken minis! I ordered a 4 count chicken mini, with hash browns and a lemonade and it was exactly as I had remembered it from 4 years ago. The honey butter on the chicken minis was delicious, the mini biscuit was moist and flakey, and the chicken tasty. The lemonade was both sweet and tart, holding on to its title of best lemonade ever. I really wanted to try one of their chicken sandwiches of which I've heard and read so many good things about!!! I opted for the Spicy Chicken Deluxe Meal with a side of Chicken Tortilla Soup, along with a Frosted Coffee!!! The Spicy Chicken Deluxe sandwich was delicious!!! It actually lived up to the hype!!! I've been to both this location and the Sunnyvale location, but this Chick-fil-A has never disappointed in terms of service and food quality. While the other location has messed up my order a few times, service is always friendly and on point here. As a huge chicken enthusiast, I've had a lot of chicken sandwiches and the Spicy Deluxe Chicken sandwich here is the bomb! The chicken is well spiced in a coat of peppery, fried goodness topped with lettuce, tomato, and pepper jack cheese. I've yet to find a fast food restaurant with a better chicken sandwich. Top it off with the waffle fries + their house lemonade and your meal is set for greatness. Be warned though, the drive through can get super congested throughout the day, and I honestly recommend just parking and going inside. However, the plaza is a popular lunch spot for a lot of companies, so be prepared to fight to the death for parking spots (just kidding, but seriously it's a pain). read more

We were on a road trip, and we went in, it was our first time by the way, so we were awfully disappointed in how the customer service was and how awfully rude the cashier was to us. They not only disrespected our car, saying it was ugly and so broken down. The last straw was when they told us they wouldn't serve food to "fag gots" I don't know what that means but my granddaughter broke down in tears My poor Jilly Bunny. Ehhh...hype wasn't there at all for me. Ok the location was nice, seating and customer service was great but food?? Eh. Lets start with the basics. The service was good. The lady was helpful and she introduced me to the "sauce". I heard it was the shit. Anyway, I ordered the #1, because I tried to keep it simple and original. Oh and yes, I had the lemonade and waffle fries to go with it. After receiving my meal in 1 min exactly LOL, I sat with my sisters at a nice table in the corner. So the chicken sandwich wasn't even that big for $3 something, there was no mayo, just a couple pickles and a soggy bun. Shit, I guess I have to add the mayo. Anyway, the chicken was a pretty thick breast cut, but was soggy and I can see the separation of the soft skin peeling away from that dry white meat. It was dry to me. This chicken wasn't crispy at all just like my sisters sandwiches. The fries were alright so there's not much to say although it is a unique cut that stands out from the basic wedge and shoe string. The sauce wasn't anything too special either; just honey mustard and a smoky barbecue hint to it. It tasted great with my fries and chicken though! I enjoyed their lemonade! It was sweet and sour but was soft at the same time. Unlimited refills for it too! Bottom line, their popular sandwiches weren't all that to me. I actually prefer the KFC chicken little instead. It's crispier and has more flavor to it. I enjoyed the sauce and the lemonade here, nothing else really. read more

Chick-fil-A - #1 original - Fast Food Near Me - San Jose, California

Chick-Fil-A this...Chick-Fil-A that...I have friends who have raved about Chick-Fil-A forever. They recently opened a location in north San Jose. As a rule, I try to avoid crowds whenever I can, but the temptation to see what all the fuss was about wore me down. This is really a 3.5 review. We headed over around 6:30 on the first Saturday of September. There really isn't much around that industrial area, but as I neared the parking lot, the amount of cars was CRAZY! There were cars literally lined up throughout the entire parking lot to the other end of the strip mall. I have NEVER seen anything like that. Perhaps I didn't wait long enough before the novelty faded. It actually didn't take that long to find a parking space, and we found our spot at the end of the line at 6:40. I figured we'd be in line for at least a half an hour, but the line moved quickly. It only took us 10 minutes to get inside the door. Chick-Fil-A had a ton of people working. I don't know if that's normal or due to the newest factor. The thing that amazed me was I was handed my food before I even finished putting my change away! That's speedy! Everyone in my group enjoyed their food. I was the only one trying Chick-Fil-A for the first time. I opted to try the chicken strips, which were very moist. It was like they were brined first. I'm a salt fiend, so I appreciated the saltiness of the chicken, but I can see how some people might not like the taste. My fries were disappointingly not crisp at all. I'd totally give Chick-Fil-A another try, but I will wait awhile for the crowds to die down. read more
