I've recently been on a Chick-fil-A kick, and I can confidently say I'm obsessed with their BEC Biscuit for breakfast and the Market Salad for lunch. Both are consistently fresh, flavorful, and truly satisfying. I typically order through the drive-thru, and they are exceptionally quick at moving the line. I've only had one occasion where the wait was a bit longer than usual, but aside from that, the service has been outstanding--fast, friendly, and efficient. I now find myself stopping by a couple of times a week because the food is just that good. And for comparison, McDonald's BEC Biscuit doesn't come close to Chick-fil-A's. Easily located off Telegraph and 696. The parking and drive through is a nightmare, it's a bad design. Inside is clean and staff are friendly. I usually do a mobile order but don't like that they keep the food orders behind the counter. Other restaurants place them on a shelf and you just grab and go. Always congestion at the pick up area with everyone trying to tell staff the name of their order. Food wise, always fresh, hot, and delicious. Not the regular Chick-fil-A experience. Very inconsistent. Yesterday when I went when I pulled up through the drive-through, they immediately had my drinks ready, but didn't give me straws. Told me to pull forward. I asked for straws. For young ladies, then sat there talking about their hair and gossip and ignored my request. When I finally got their attention, they were kind of disgusted that I interrupt them and told me to move forward. After I move forward, I proceeded to watch other people behind me get their food before I got mine. I didn't order anything special just basic food. So far as expensive as it is, the ambience created by their gossiping and tardiness made it less than desirable experience. Having had CFA in the south (Georgia) the recipe for the chicken nuggets and tenders is not the same at this Michigan location. Trying the food once again orders received remain over-salted meat with more extra batter along the edges. Burnt taste batter and certainly not the same as southern options! Chickafella...as I've called Chick-fil-A for decades is always a great choice for fresh fast food. I have lived in several southern cities where Chick-fil-A operated originally. I was happy to see locations were opening up in Michigan a few years ago. I visited the Tel-12 location after picking up makeup at a store sharing the same parking lot. I had no idea that the restaurant was even there. Anyway, lol, I was happy to see them in this space. I'm sure that this location will do very well as it's bustling with lots to do, places to shop, etc. The drive through line wrapped the building, but if you're familiar with Chick-fil-A customer service and efficiency, you know that's no big deal. I was through the line within 10 minutes. I order my fav, tenders and waffle fries with a half & half. The chicken and fries were consistent as always from state to state. There seemed to be a huge difference in the flavor of my drink, however. Nothing beats Southern lemonade and sweet tea, good effort however. They really teach manners here with phrases like "my pleasure". Generally more than helpful and willing to squeeze in some extra sauce. Pretty timely for the quality of food Orders: 9/10 times they get it right. It's 4 stars because once in my Mac n Cheese I had a fruit fly. Another time they've forgotten my fries :,). I'll admit it - I just don't get the hype about Chick-fil-A. It's very basic fast food chicken. There is nothing compelling about it. I hadn't had it in a while and I had driven by this location a few times and saw the huge lines, so I thought I'd give it another try to see if I could figure it out. Nope. It really didn't wow me. I had the same reaction - it's just your basic fast food chicken that's not notably different than anywhere else. All of that said, the logistics of the drive through process at this location are very elaborate and impressive. I love Chik-Fil-A for a lot of different reasons, and I'm glad their here in Michigan. I was on this side of town for some stuff and saw it in the parking lot of Meijer on the Northbound side. After I was done with what I was doing I decided to go check the new place out. Pulling in, this complex is busy already with all the stores in here, so navigating my way in was a bit much. They have the back parking lot all coned off and it was kind of confusing. I've been to the one in Sterling Heights and that parking lot was a lot more organized in regards to entering and exiting. Maybe they could do a better job with how this flows? The staff here's always friendly which is why I love coming here. It's clean too, which is great. As someone who's had Chik-Fil-A in different states, I don't know if it's a Michigan thing or a post pandemic thing, but the breakfast menu was lame. Like super lame. They used to have such a great selection of breakfast sandwiches and other items. I know it's not location specific because their a chain, but dang, talk about nothing to really choose from. I was torn between the chicken sandwich and the chicken bites. I asked if anything came on them, like lettuce, mayo, anything. NOPE. REALLY. so it's a piece of chicken on a biscuit. Accidentally ordered a Cobb Salad for a lunch and learn yesterday and it came with bacon bits on it. Since, I don't consume pork at all, I figured that a company like Chick-Fil- A would exchange the salad without any hassle. Not the Mngr named Cordell though!!! He looked at me dryly and said "Did you order it without Bacon?" I answered yes however I could not confirm if the person supplying the food had passed along my request. All I know is that I went hungry yesterday through lunch and I really honestly felt that a fast food chain like Chick-Fil-A would have absolutely no issue with creating a little good will between an customer with an expression of "My Pleasure" !!! I'm still in SHOCK! Cordell has redefined my opinion of the politest fast food joint ever! I walked away feeling like I was attempting to pull a SCAM on them! I didn't get the food I ordered ahead of time online. No big deal but what is far more problematic is that (1) there is no way to access the lane for pre-orders without sitting in a long line...what's the point of ordering ahead (2) the maze you have to get through to sit in line is riddled with MASSIVE potholes. I kid you not, these are the largest potholes I've seen in my life. I'm sure it's not this franchise owners fault but they should petition the owner of the grounds to fix the potholes. The service is also excellent, speedy & on point and the general ambiance is friendly and smiling with someone always asking if they could be of service in any way (especially Tracy!).
