I was a smidge earlier than everyone else for lunch; the dining room filled up soon afterwards. I loved the huge menu - there were so many options for soups, salads (Maurice, Greek, and Cobb, to name a few), sandwiches (Reuben's, triple deckers, and even vegetarian), burgers and hot dogs, breakfasts (omelettes, waffles, and French toast), and deli classics. I opted for the Victor Special, extra cut, which included larger portions of both corned beef and pastrami, coleslaw, Swiss cheese, and Russian dressing. The thinly-sliced meat was indeed piled high at the center. For my side, I had wanted the onion rings, but they were already sold out! Instead, I went with the hash browns; they were crispy with a mashed potato-like interior.
