I just love this place. The guys are all working hard and give the best service. The food is made fast and is phenomenal. Those fresh made table bread was just perfect. We got a quick lunch, with garlic sauce (the best), chicken rice soup, and chicken shawarma sandwich. It took me a minute because this is a favorite lunch spot for local businesses, and I've had many of their entrees. The shawarma was so tasty. Was at my cousin's graduation recently, we had it catered by Grape Leaves. Chafing dishes were on the ready for delivery. Had beef and chicken shawarma, almond rice, fatoosh, tabouli, meat and rice grape leaves and hummus. Lots of extra garlic, yogurt and tahini to accompany the meats. Wish the pita wasn't all over the fatoosh, had to pick out the salad. The tabouli was decent as was the hummus. The chicken was extremely dry and fatty and had some tendons on pieces of it. Mostly ate the tabouli and the tomatoes from the fatoosh. The hummus wasn't special, just okay. My cousins are 1/4 Lebanese and they weren't impressed by the food either. read more

We recently made a large order for a family Sunday dinner. Grape Leaves could not have been more accommodating! We absolutely loved the family tray. Anything can be customized (we added extra hummus instead of baba ganoush). The staff was so incredibly friendly, and insistent on helping me bring everything to my car. This place has the best crushed lentil soup. It's so good that I've been coming back here every week for the last four weeks since my first visit. I was introduced to this restaurant through a coworker who said this her favorite Mediterranean restaurant in the area. The food is very good. In my several visits so far I've tried the shish tawook sandwich, tabbouli and chicken tawook sandwich, fatoush salad with chicken breast, and of course their crushed lentil soup. I would recommend getting the crisply pita to go with the soup, instead of regular bread. Their tabbouli is excellent, full of flavor as is their shish tawook sandwich. They are generous with the garlic paste in the sandwich which I like. Service is very quick which is great for work lunch. I have ordered the falafel plate appetizer which I think is better than ordering the falafel sandwich. The fattoush salad was Ok...the pita chips were sparse and not crunchy enough. In addition, some of the lettuce in the salad and used as garnish were wilted...which is a big turn off aesthetically and definitely would not want to chomp on anything wilted. It was fresh, crunchy, and had ample feta cheese. Normally, when I order anything with feta, from anywhere, I am constantly asking for more! Not the case here at Grape Leaves. I had more than enough! Next, I ordered the classic chicken shawarma sandwich. It did not disappoint and it was loaded with chicken and a fantastic garlic flavor. I had plenty left over to snack on the next day. The savory crushed lentil soup was just to the spicy side of the golden mean of Cedar Garden. Falafel patties were crispy, flavorful and not greasy. Salads were appropriately dark green and not overly dressed. Hummus was smooth and straight down the middle in spice. The service was attentive - at first. As the place got busier, we got forgotten to a degree. The size of the staff seemed a bit small for the lunch crowd so get there early if you go. I came here for lunch. The food was good and they have a large sandwich selection. I was disappointed that they didn't offer sandwich lunch combis, although most Mediterranean places do. They where very busy during lunch, and it showed in our poor service. One person in our group of 10 recived his lunch 30 minutes after ordering. Although thr bread is fresh made and was excellent, it did not come with garic spread. Which I was shocked by. Golly gee golly me, I ate about 15 cats worth of bread (or 3 dogs for commonfolk) at the start of my meal. The garlic sauce that comes with the bread comes with the bread and is so special and uniqeue that even my grandmother (may she RIP in peace and perserverance, she was a strong and loving woman but only to my family) probably could not replicate the recipe. Although she was not Mediteranean so she would have a disadvantage from the start. Moving on, I also had a salad with lots of lettuce instead of just croutons like my dad always gave me growing up because he said he would make me stronger BUT HE LIED TO ME CROUTONS ONLY HAVE 1/2 THE POWER LETTUCE HAS. And then to put the cherry on top of the icecream sundae, my chicken and rice were cooked just right, not poisonous but also not overcooked. The plentiful spices and herbery reminded me of thanksgiving with my Uncle (may he RIP in peace, he was a weak man but was still my Uncle afterall!). read more
