It stops traffic and backs up and both directions. This isn't sustainable and they only have one very very slow moving lane. Onto the food. The chicken has zero flavor. This has got to be the worst restaurant in the chain. Lukewarm breakfast, about 8 cold hashbrowns and cold overcooked hard rolls on the chicken minis. The chicken wasn't even warm. The coffee is lacking too. It tasted like it was made the day before. How can one restaurant in the chain be so slack with quality and taste different! Customer service is pitiful too. The tall skinny guy with the big hair handling food at the drive-thru could use a hairnet. Don't expect napkins here either. This Chick-fil-A never fails to disappoint. Only reason I go here is to get my sweet tea fix. Order on the app. Drive over and drive through line is down the road. I pull in to go inside, trying to eliminate some of the traffic. I check in and wait 18 minutes. Order disappears from my app as complete. Still no tea. Tons of angry customers inside. I all for my tea politely and the overwhelmed teenager jumps on it. Manager sees what's happening and makes no comment. I'm a Chick-fil-A Signature member (top level). I went yesterday; it's only the second time I've bought anything at a Chick-fil-A. The first time, I went to one in Orlando to support the chain when the ridiculous alphabet brigade was trying to boycott it. I ordered the chicken nuggets, and they were absolutely awful. I attributed that, however, to the fact that they were packed, both inside and out, with supporters. I've been watching the Bless Your Rank videos, which can be hilarious, and Chick-fil-A has popped up a few times in them. So I decided to give it another try. I went to this location, and went in to order carry-out. I ordered an eight-piece chicken nugget, and a spicy chicken sandwich. Service was quick, and there seemed to be a lot of people in the place, eating. When I got home, I ate the nuggets first. Imagine my surprise when I saw on the box they came in something about dipping sauce that I knew nothing about and that the server didn't mention at all. It's good that I keep several types of sauce on hand at home, but is it so difficult for the guy to ask me if I want sauce with the nuggets? Isn't that part of his JOB? The nuggets were as awful as the ones I had in Orlando. They were under-breaded and dry and extremely salty. Not having dipping sauce with them was adding insult to injury. That was lunch. So later on, I gave the sandwich a try. And you know, it might not have been so bad if it hadn't also been salted to death. The chicken was relatively moist, and the sauce/marinade was definitely spicy. No one needs that much salt. I took three bites and binned the rest. It just wasn't good. No, I didn't order the fries, or any sides. I've tasted their fries before, and they're very bland. I know people rave about them, but I don't see their charm at all. As I said earlier, there seemed to be a lot of people in the place, eating. Based on my two experiences with Chick-fil-A, I don't understand it. Since I eat here at least three times a week, I'd call myself a regular at this establishment. I can tell you by name some of the best chickfila employees I've ever met have came from this store, as well as some of the worst. Recently the store would have been given a one-star but I think of those few wonderful people and let it average to a three. The last 3 times I've ordered extra pickles, I have received a small cup of TWO slices of pickles. The last two times I have went thru the drive thru, the person outside was rude. Within the last 3 months, I have came three times with my coworkers and my food is always wrong, and in the time it takes for my order to be adjusted, lunch is over and it's time to go back to work. I think a majority of these instances come down to a coaching issue, and with there being many new faces recently, I can understand how it's fallen through the cracks. I think some help needs to be given (such as training) and patience be stressed. I go to the Gaffney restaurant when I can, but East Main is so convenient. I hope there's improvement on the horizon. This Hillcrest location changed hands within the past year. The new owners have really never figured it out. As always the Chick-fil-A food is fantastic however the service is well below average. It's Saturday morning and I allocated 10 minutes to swing through Chick-fil-A on my way to an appointment. Made a mobile order while in the establishment due to the line being so long.. after waiting 7 mins for my food while I could see the order (with my name above it) on their screen, a manger finally came over and told me they were waiting on spicy chicken filets to cook and it would be a few minutes. Now as someone who used to work at a CFA, and worked in the kitchen as well, I know for a fact that it doesn't take that long to cook those filets. Lady don't lie to me when you clearly can't do your job correctly. And then couldn't even bag it correctly when I asked for my second set of fries to be in a separate bag. And the lady who got the extra bag had an attitude when I asked for it. This location is pure disfunctional between the area where it's located right at a busy intersection, the lack of parking, the dirty floors and kids area (which as a parent is particularly irritating), and the slow staff. I believe the problem is they must be cooking the nuggets and strips ahead of time and keeping the over cooked chicken under a warming lamp. Trash over flowing on visit last week, no forks, spoons, or knives out for use. Floors were a wreck. Lots of people standing and nothing else. No greeting upon arrival. No follow up at table. We visited at 200pm last week. This week, Thursday 5/26/16 at 430pm, trash wasn't overflowing. Floors need sweeping badly, some people working, some people standing. The manager man was chatting up some young lady and had no desire to manage the people working or the customers. Our fries appeared to have a bite or two taken out of a couple of them, I went to the counter, bypassing manager man ( he seemed way to busy for work anyway) and asked for another bag. They gave me another bag but something seemed eeeww about those so we tossed them. All the things that make Chic FIL A good seem to not be here. I swear you would think you were at McDonalds. That was our last trip there. Mr.Owner man, you should make sure the managers during this time work and manage instead of hiding and chatting up young women. Subpar chick-fil-a. The food has not been hot the past few times I've gotten take out here. I recently went out of town & tried the restaurant branch in Beaufort, SC & the sandwich was so hot & fresh it was shocking. This gave me something to compare this store to, but subpar is being generous to describe this location. The chicken itself must have been starved that was on my sandwich, because the size of the chicken breast has shrunk so much that it did not even fit the bun. Not to mention its location is terrible & not functional! It's very frustrating trying to get in & out at this location due to the red light it's beside. OK I'm only given a two star not because of the food but because the manager walks over to us after we have been there for over 30 minutes he says I'm not going to throw you out this time but then he points down to the floor. Well yes there is a dog in a carrier, I looked up at him with a very angry look and said she is a service dog. Now there is a big tag hanging there with the dogs picture name saying service dog. And on the back of the carrier is this big purple tag with big words saying service dog. Really you couldn't just come over there and say is this a service dog? Then we would've said yes sir here is her tag and be done. No he has to Kinda embarrass us with the way he said it. Now this is one Chick-fil-A I will not go back to! He's also lucky I didn't call corporate.
