My nephew had a hankering for chicken nuggets. As soon as I asked him if he wanted Chick-Fil-A, he could not be contained. BP, my sister, and I drove over from eating samosas at Niralla across the street for the well-needed chicken. The line was long this Saturday afternoon and we should have known the place would be packed because of how busy the parking lot was. BP and I got in line while my sister and nephew grabbed some high-top seats. We ordered a chicken nugget kids meal for the lil' man and a Spicy Chicken for the big man (BP). My sister and I were already full from Niralla. BP also upgraded to the new frosted lemonade. It was delicious! It was basically an ultra creamy, thick, vanilla milkshake with tones of tart, sour, lemon. Mouthwatering! I have no idea why BP's Spicy Chicken was so not spicy. We were pretty disappointed about that, and could have said something to the staff, but didn't. The food was still hot and delicious so it was consumed. The waffle fries were also perfect. Not greasy in the least or salty. The lil' man enjoyed his nuggets and milk as well as a puzzle batman toy (I think that's what it was), but wasn't too interested in the fries. Don't worry, I took care of eating them :) Service at this location is superb! The staff are so kind and friendly, even during a hectic lunch rush, they always have a smile on their faces! read more

This location is next door to our dog food store. The strip mall overall is very tight, it's hard to find parking, and there is no sense of driving direction for anyone. Since I was on an early errand to pick up our dog food, I decided to pick up our lunch. The line is always long but the staff moves the line quickly. Ordering is simple, and they are fully schooled on the use of the 'cow calendar perks'. This month our perk was a free medium fry and a large Coca Cola product. With the special discounts and the prompt service, lunch was fast and quick. read more

Ordered breakfast through the app while breakfast was being served and drove 20 min to pick it up. Of course it wasnt in the mobile app pickup. I'm told it has to be rung up on the register, and I'll have to wait while it is made. Of course, breakfast had ended. Manager blurts out breakfast is over. I explained I ordered prior to breakfast and paid already through the app. Manager says it doesn't matter. Instead of putting pickup I have to say I'm there in the app so they will make it then. Ridiculous. So bottomline no breakfast. I asked for a refund and the manager rudely does the transaction hands me a receipt and walks off no explanation. I asked the kid at the counter what does this mean. He doesn't know but guesses it will be refunded through the app. Good times, Chicfila. I absolutely love me some chick fil a, but this springfield location has got to get it all the way together with the drive thru. Just be sure you have 20-30 min to sit and most times the second lane is closed and or something inside is broke down. My issue is if I can just get the correct order one time, I would be happy. All I get is the Cobb salad and always get spinach with spicy grill, today they told me they don't sell that, is it becuz she couldn't find it or don't know the menu, anyway I settled for the filet over nuggets that they usually give which are both wrong. Spicy grilled is more on the shaved chicken side. I was hoping my 45 min wait was worth it until I got the wrong salad. I'll probably go back or maybe to a diffrent one just to see, but rest assured no more 45 min waits for me!!! I'll let you know since they were giving out free meal cards as well. read more

This is for the Chick-fil-A location on (south) Backlick Road in Springfield, VA 22150. Has to be one of the WORST locations of all this chain to access from the main road. Narrow parking lot approach, was always a congested strip-mall venue, constant long lines, and in spite of pre-order helpers...still painfully slow...even "off" peak hours. Three visits since June 2019...missed order completely in one visit...missing item(s) 2nd time. Today (11/11/19) Veteran's Day this particular store decided they do not participate in "free" sandwich the other national locations do. The order that did come just today was just plain 'greasy' for the chicken and the waffle fries. Definite drop in food quality, service, time delay and hassle to go here. The chicken gods heard our prayers and a Chick-fil-A arrived in Springfield, VA! This event rates second to the birth of my first child. Yes, I like Chick-fil-A. This brand new store is wonderfully clean and new. Service is quick and polite. I was in dining in during a peak time and while the line was moving, apparently the woman behind me felt I wasn't moving fast enough for her chicken needs and PUSHED me when the cashier called "next in line." Ok, it was a tap with some force. She then butted in line. (Is "butted" a word?) You get the picture. Don't worry, I am not taking off stars for the actions of the customers in this case. The story was too good to keep to myself. Another customer also observed the "shove" and noted the same rude woman jumped ahead of her too while she was gathering ketchup. The horror! Back to the topic at hand...Food is ready FAST and is always pipping hot. I did get a three piece tenders on one occasion when I ordered a four but it was quickly replaced no questions asked. I wish I could still keep the 3 piece and save it from the trash but felt to awkward to ask. The staff usually offers free refills- a nice plus which was shocking at a fast food establishment. My only complaint is closing on Sundays. When I need chicken, why should religion or other people's lives stop me from eating? read more

Worst Chick-fil-A in the DMV, their customer service from the "leadership" is tremendous, came here about 2 weeks ago and ordered strips, Shazzad the cashier who's as also in training (said on name tag) was amazing and was very attentive. I got my food and went back to my car and opened the box and saw how small the strips were. I've gotten strips MANY times and know how they look like, anyways I didn't want to be that customer and go back and complain but at the same time I'm paying MY money and I don't want to be skimped so I went back and talked to some girl cashier and told her about my strips and she even agreed with how small they were and then went to the leader who was wearing a blue polo with tattoos which was right behind the counter so you could see and hear pretty well if you were paying close attention to which I was and she went to him and told him about how a customer was complaining about the strips and how small they were and he goes to her and says in Spanish "what do you want me to do about it?" I'm Hispanic so I understood what he said I was so frustrated and just shocked how a leader would say this, it wasn't loud but it was clear and loud enough for someone who was really paying attention would hear, he then gave me the strips back and didn't even say sorry about that or anything just said "here you go" at that point I was VERY upset but held it together bc I didn't want to make a scene at a Chick-fil-A and went to my car upset. I just feel like anytime I go to this Chick-fil-A theirs always attitude followed by their leadership, ive witnessed a few give attitude to different customers or even their own team members. you guys should probably go to another Chick-fil-A and learn a thing or 2 about customer service and how to treat customers/employees. Okay. The people who run the Chick-fil-A drive thru have my vote for President 2020. I have never seen a more efficient process for getting your fried chicken fast and friendly. The line at the Backlick location often wraps all the way around the parking lot but I somehow have my order in less than 20 minutes. I don't know where they find the teens who work there, but they actually seem happy to be working, and want you to be happy too. I try not to eat here more than once in a blue moon because I want to maintain my figure and so I am now counting down the next 39 days until I can visit again. Had a most unpleasant experience there tonight. The cashier said something ageist and demeaning about my mother and what he implied about me was rather insulting too. Very disturbing. Bad customer service could be an understatement here. And coincidentally, first time we've been given overcooked, nearly burnt fries. Bad night for this location. I should add that normally we have positive experiences here and at other Chik-Fil-A locations. We had a bad experience in Chick-fila-A located in Backlick Road. I ordered their regular sandwich meal with an extra Sandwich. The location was fully packed. The chicken was not fried properly and was raw. I just ate the fries and trashed everything. Please avoid this place and try other locations to enjoy their delicious sandwiches. read more

They won't let me have my breakfast the way I always get it. Guess I won't be coming here anymore. I still have them 3 stars because their service is the best out of all fast food restaurants. I understand it isn't BK but I want my breakfast my way. I always get the spicy chicken with egg and cheese on a biscuit. Then they took the spicy chicken off the breakfast menu but would still let you order it as a special order. Now they won't allow you to order it at all for breakfast. If you come as they are changing to lunch you may be able to get it on a biscuit with egg and cheese but there's no guarantee there will be biscuit and egg still available unless its 10:30 exactly because lunch starts at 10:30 AND breakfast ends at 10:30. So start your breakfast order at 10:29, get all your breakfast items ordered and at 10:30 hit them with the lunch items "and I'd like to add the spicy chicken and can you substitute the tots for fries please and thank you." read more

This location is run terribly. There was an issue at the drive through with manager who smarted off with me. I went inside to attempt to speak with the operator, who also operates the Kingstowne location. Andrea Barnett is the operator. She, according to the employees, has a policy of NOT speaking with customers. This is not the Chick-fil-A of old, where there was a friendly, respectful relationship with customers. I left my contact information for the elusive operator (Andrea Barnett) to call me so that I can talk about the issues with the manager. No call. I return for the next two days in order to meet with the operator and again, the employees told me that she does not talk with customers. I called customer service to file a complaint against the manager and the operator (Andrea Barnett). The customer service representatives seemed poorly trained and did not understand how to file a complaint. Nevertheless, one of the customer service representatives thought that it was unusual for an operator to have a 'no customer' policy. The complaints got nowhere. The operator (Andrea Barnett) never contacted me. The operator never met with me to discuss the issues with the manager. I never been to another Chick-fil-A since....and will never go to another one. read more

Definitely the slowest CFA in the northern Virginia area. The same number of cars at the Burke or Fairfax locations would go through in about half the time -- not sure why this location is so slow by comparison. I was visiting a friend in northern VA and decided to check this place out. it was 90 something degrees outside, and they had the poor employees outside burning up. I asked one how long theyd been out there for, and they said over an hour. That goes against the cooperate rule of only having employees outside for 30 minutes. And in the burning sun? Chick fil a, do better. The food was alright, but you'd been much better going to a location the respects its employees health. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at any Chick-fil-A! I waited outside in the cold for over 30 minutes at the pickup window AFTER my app said that my order was ready... and they couldn't find it?! I was told I was at the wrong location until I showed them the address on my receipt in their CFA app. Excuses excuses. Terrible experience! Don't waste your time here. And to top it off, my toddler and newborn were in the car with my spouse crying and wanting to go. I will not be back to this location. Edit: And... I didn't receive any of my sauces or any straws.
