Being one of the "First One Hundred" I have been here probably more times than most other people. (Chick-Fil-A runs a promotion where if you are one of the first one hundred people to sign in and camp out overnight, you win 52 free meals from Chick-Fil-A.) There certainly could not have been more hype for Chick-Fil-A to come to State College. But even so, very few people knew about the contest. The best salad is the Chicken Strips salad which has three warm chicken beast strips, which are bigger versions of their revered chicken nuggets. Minus the chicken, the salad itself is heartier and healthier than other fast food salads. I typically only eat a bite or two of the chicken and I'm still satisfied with the salad. The chicken on the other salads is cold and extremely processed. Other than the salads, I've had the chicken club delux. It comes dry, the bun toasted with butter, so if you want mayo make sure you ask for a packet. But the chicken really is delicious! Its the first fast food option I ever thought was too small! Overall, its much better if you eat inside. The drive thru never works out right for me-- whether its not getting any salt and pepper, or sauce. In one instance, the owner was standing right there and they still charged my debit card $8.00 for a meal when I just gave them my coupon and it should have been free. I like the food in this restaurant. When I want to eat junk food I always prefer here than McDonalds or Burger King. I went to my mother in law, even though she deserves to be taken somewhere else, but we were on a rush so stopped by here. I like the chunks of chicken, because they come juicy, I don't know how they do that, it my be the fat of the oil, given that the breast of chicken is dry. My son ordered a delicious chicken hamburger and my mother in law a wrap. I tried her wrap, but I am not fond of wraps, not a wrap person, so for me had no taste. The floor was dirty, it was pretty crowded, that might be the reason. With chick-f I always have a problem, I do not know if its open or not because the place does not have light enough inside, so it looks dark from the outside all the time. Well back again. The lemonade tastes how it should and the spicy chicken biscuit option is still available in other parts of the country. I ordered a spicy chicken deluxe on a multigrain bun with no cheese. The sticker they placed on my sandwich box says exactly that. And I got cheese on my sandwich... try again guys. read more

This is a good Chik-fil-A location. We eat here pretty often and have found the service to be VERY speedy and the workers to be exceptionally friendly! One time an employee even took our tray as we were headed to the trashcan and offered to dispose of our trash for us. He was cheerful, despite it being the end of his shift. It actually brought a tear to my eye. The couple of times we've gone through the drive-thru we have found them to be a little stingy with the amount of sauce they give you. We prefer doing dine-in. Also there is just a single lane for the drive-thru (no option to leave the line) so once you're in line, you're stuck. It aggravates my claustrophobia. But overall no real complaints. Good food but you may get an ulcer getting it. Today drive-thru was blocked by a police car who was ticketing a customer for making a L turn into establishment. Then once boxed into drive-thru lane we were told by management that system was down and was being completely rebooted. After I finally had my order and drove out to eat, I found that I had only been given a fork as a utensil to eat my Greek yogurt parfait and the cream cheese was omitted from my bagel and cream cheese order. So look, I did move here from Atlanta, GA...home of ChickFilA. Still... Very inconsistent service and food quality. Not only are our bags almost always missing the dipping sauces or-my favorite-the salad dressing, but the last 3 times I've gone I was asked to "pull around" because they didn't have enough...CHICKEN NUGGETS made. This was for a family of 5, not a conference. If you are a true ChickFilA lover, please don't think those biscuits are biscuits. They are all kinds of wrong. If you are ever en route to Florida and pass a southern Chick, please stop for breakfast there and see what I mean! I should also mention that I called to order trays for a kids' birthday party, and the man with whom I spoke was so incredibly rude that I ended up canceling the order because I was so mad! I love their chicken, but the best thing about this place was the employees. Everyone was super friendly and helpful. They came to our table to make sure we didn't need anything, they offered to get us drink refills, they took our trays when we were finished. The State College Chick-fil-A was not very different from other Chick-fil-A restaurants. I thought that the bathroom at this location was exceptionally clean and tidy, which was nice. Despite how many people were in the restaurant when we arrived, the line moved quickly and our food was ready promptly. Interestingly, this was the first time I ever asked about what sauces they had available, so it was the first time I learned of their special sauce. It was great and maybe my new go-to. The signage on the wall also prompted me to download their app for easy ordering on my next visit. Overall, a great experience! read more

When you're eating at the State College Chick-Fil-A it's very easy to forget that you're eating at a fast food restaurant. The place is extremely clean, the employees are very friendly/courteous, and the food is always fresh and served without mistake. I come here about twice a month for lunch and always leave satisfied. I highly recommend the Spicy Chicken Sandwich meal w/ Lemonade to drink...it's the best $7 you can spend on a quick meal anywhere. You can save a few dollars and get some low-grade dogfood from taco bell or McDonalds, or you can have a fresh and tasty meal from a place that actually cares about it's employees, customers, and it's community and dine at Chick-Fil-A. read more

I love chick-fil-a food and would prefer this fast food restaurant over any other but this location has messed up my order the 2nd time in a month. The first time I asked for Grilled Chicken Sandwich and I got the regular sandwich. Second time today I ordered 8-pc grilled nuggets and I got the regular nuggets. I just wish they would listen to the order properly or have a screen that shows what you ordered in drive thru so this doesn't happen. Ok so normally I LOVE cfa. Tonight I had a bad drive through experience. They totally messed up my order and I didn't check to make sure everything was there/correct before I pulled away. In addition, I asked for buffalo, ranch and cfa sauce. All I received was one buffalo sauce. Not happy especially since I ordered 5 entrées!! Regardless, cfa will always be close to my heart and their food is delish but I wish the drive through had their act together this evening. read more

I come here about once a week. Yes, that often. I've had everything on the menu. Is that something to brag about? I like the service here. One time, a friend and I had a contest to see who could get the most "my pleasures" out of the staff members. If you say thank you, they reply with a "my pleasure" and a smile. I lost, but it was still fun. The food is consistent. I recommend the Asian Salad, Market Salad, and Chicken Salad Sammitch. The chick-fil-a dipping sauce is a must if you get fries, which are waffles instead of fries. The managers here are always on top of it and very supportive to the newbies, which is nice to see as a customer. Cons: 1. Luchtime is super extra busy. You can't find a place to park or sit. The drive through can get backed up to the entrance as well. On a few lunch breaks, I had to leave and go somewhere else because it was so busy. 2.The place is always full of kids. For some reason, children are extra noisy at this place. It must be the indoor playground in the rear. 3. I've had nothing but great experiences every time we go to Chick-fil-A, and we do go quite often. The staff here is so polite which makes one reason why we stop frequently, not to mention that it is the best fast food place out there! Bruce the owner always chats with us when we dine in but not just us, we've noticed that he makes a point to say hi to everyone. I believe if you want to have a successful fast food business you need to be present, making sure things run smoothly and customers are happy. I do also like that staff members ask if you need a refill on your drink and bring it back to you, they go above and beyond!
