The crust was dry (not in a good way), the sauce tasted like jarred spaghetti sauce, and the cheese was low quality since it was dripping with grease. There was some grease from the pepperoni as you'd expect, but this other grease was from the low quality cheese which had no string-like mozzarella properties at all. It was still way better than frozen or convenience/gas store pizza. And it reheats very well the next day. In short, it's a cute little place with good vibes and decent prices, but mediocre pizza. But honestly, these cheesesteaks are good enough with just steak and cheese. The fries here are shoestring, which is perfect if you don't want soggy fries when you let them sit. Penn Steaks uses beef tallow which gives it a bit more savory taste. I'm not really into beef tallow for frying, yet I still enjoyed then. I'd still prefer Five Guys fries over these. But don't let that stop you from trying them! And the service was fantastic. The person taking my order was polite and helpful. I even met one of the co-owners who was very friendly! A great guy to chit-chat if you like that sort of thing. I learned quite a bit from him during my visit. They sell their cheesesteaks in 6", 9", and 18". The 9" is generous and should satisfy most people. I might be able to finish an 18" if was really hungry and didn't add too much to it, but I'd be in pain afterwards! The 18" is better for sharing.
