TERRIBLE service. I don't know what has happened in the past few months but it is utter CHAOS inside this location. I was forced to go inside because the line for the drive thru was wrapped around the building. It's not about demand. It's very clear, after going inside to chaos, why the line was wrapped around the building. Disorganized assembly line, young lady checking me out DISTRACTED talking to other people and not taking my order in a timely fashion, and she even got my order WRONG. I rarely give bad review of Chick-fil-a but this location is a logistic and customer service NIGHTMARE. Management, I think you need to implement better training, a streamlined assembly line and try what several other locations have with the customer service professionals outside taking orders and directing cars to the appropriate lines. I think the issue with this one is the closure of the one near Chesapeake Square. I have never experienced what I did during a recent visit before, and I don't think this location is well-equipped for the boost in customer flow or traffic. Just terrible. read more

We've never had a bad experience at Chick-Fil-A Harbourview. The staff are always super-nice, friendly, and courteous. I have two young children, and the staff goes out of their way to be helpful. I've never been anywhere else where the staff offer to stop what they're doing to help get a tray of food, drinks, diaper bag, and 2 wiggly children to a table. They consistently check on the tables and see how the meal is going and offer drink refills. And the food... have you had their Chicken Minis??? SO GOOD. We plan to remain loyal customers of Chick-Fil-A for a very long time! read more

Sausage burrito is the best! I have had the sandwich twice in the last month and it is worth every penny. I wish I had taken a picture. This particular Chick-fil-A was AWESOME. This location is always busy. But it moves quickly and staff are friendly. I was doing the drive thru this weekend and the lady ahead of me was slow to pull up. (get off the phone!) She proceeded to ASK about swapping something on her coupon. Told no. Then she starts saying they always swap for her and just do it. Over and over the girl said she couldn't do it at a drive thru and no manager would be able to do it in drive thru. The woman harassed the girl until she just took the order and got her to move on. I wanted to get out and go off on the woman! But she didn't pull up far. Nope, not enough for my car to get to the order window. I finally order, and the screen shows the order. I like that. I go to pull up. NOPE, lady is still more than a car length from the next car and the car behind me can't order now. Again I felt the need to get out of the car....it's chick fil a...it should be happy. She got her changed order fast enough. Kuddos to the kid inside who had to deal with her sneaky way to get what she wanted free on a coupon that she couldn't use. They did right to just get her out of the line! Finally the cars can move up! If you haven't had the new grilled items you need to go. Right now. Unless it's Sunday when they are closed. The grilled sandwich truly tastes grilled from your backyard. They put it on a healthy wheat bun and serve a side of honey bbq sauce that is sooooo yummy! Now they have grilled nuggets too! The traditional sandwich rocks as well. We love Chick fil a and wish I ate here more :-D read more

Always love this restaurant, except for this location. Visited there last Friday with my children. Granted, we got there after 9:30 (they close at 10), but was treated like we were lepers! Hayden (the cashier) immediately asked us, "you are taking this to go, right?'. When we said no, we were dining in, he took the order. That is when the fun started. Soon after, the staff shut the lights off on us and locked the doors and started singing the song "Closing Time"...never has a restaurant treated us with such hatred and disdain. While I don't hold Chick-Fil-A responsible, I do hold this place responsible. Won't ever set foot in there again and will implore everyone I know to avoid at all costs! read more

Can I just say the play place is no man's land. Kids that are way too tall run wild in there. No big deal. I was a kid giant once, while everyone my age got to play, I had to watch from the chairs. It's claustrophobic in there. No wonder mom's and dad's took their kids to Chikfila. They get a moments peace and the kid is happy. The food came out quickly and staff came around to not only ask if I needed anything but also offered to refill my drink. Sure, I could have gone up there to do it, but if they're offering, I'll take it. The Cathy's got it right. I've rarely had a bad experience and the employees seem happy. Even if the line is wrapped all the way around the building, I guarantee you service will always be faster than going to another fast food place with a three car line. Chic fila is my #1 go to for lunch because the food is always fresh and the service is always exceptional so I thought. Today's encounter was the worst ever. My coworkers and I placed mobile orders for lunch and I volunteered to pick them up. Normally we would go inside but due to the rainy weather we choose the drive thru. It took us 30mins to get to the speaker which I didn't mind because of the fresh meal and pleasant service. But today I get to the speaker and inform the customer service rep of my mobile pick up order and she tells me I can only pick up two of the three orders and I had to drive back around and potentially wait another 30min to get the third order. No No No the is totally unacceptable. I understand the 2 order minimum for traditional cash or credit drive thru transactions but our food had already been ordered in advance and paid for. The young lady asked if I would like to talk to a manager and I agreed. When I get to the window the female and male managers did not introduce themselves and wasn't accommodating at all. Our orders were placed in advance and there was no monies to be exchanged so what is the problem. I was soo pissed because I literally wasted my 30min lunch break to only leave with no food because I was just that disappointed and pissed with the service. I don't know when I will return to the College Drive location in Suffolk, VA. I would've rated my experience with zero stars but there isn't an option to do so. read more

Truly a first for me in writing a negative review for a Chick-fil-A, but this one is warranted. I had just got done dropping off my car for service at discount tire and it was going to be an hour before it was ready. Being 32 degrees outside, I decided to stop by and get a bite while I was waiting and stay warm. I walked in, placed an order, and sat down to begin eating at a table that did not have a placard saying seating was restricted. About half the tables had the placard, and the other half did not. Figured it dealt with social distancing. No sign on the entry door noting any closures. I got my food and began to eat. Two bites in, an employee informed me the dining room was closed. I explained I had no car, so I was kind of stuck. She invited me to eat outdoors in the 32 degree weather. I said that was not going to happen. I got my refund and went on my way. Not typical service expected from Chick-fil-A. Won't be back at this location. read more

I really wanted lunch during breakfast but got there a bit too early and while most would seem inconvenienced, the lady taking my order offered to swap out a biscuit for a bun and make some fries for me. I began writing this review day of coming here, but when I came back on yelp to finish it...it was gone :( Oh well, starting over doesn't always have to be viewed as bad right...and since writing is always a work in progress, let's get the ball rolling for this Chick-fil-a review. It was lunch time, and for those of you who have EVER been to Chick-fil-a at lunch, you know what that means!!! CRAZY lines around the building, parking lot full, and you're wondering why you're having to crave this place so badly in the first place...but sometimes it's just a MUST, and there is just no way around that craving! So, I remember they have a new app that their pushing, and I download it (free menu item for downloading app btw), load my credit card in, actually order what I want in the parking lot via the app (super easy to do btw), and it tells you when your order ready. Go up to "Pick-Up" area inside, and they call your name out....that easy?! YES, that easy! No fuss, no muss...whatever that means...I need to look up where that saying originated from now that I think about it...but lest I get off on a rabbit trail again (if you know me, I kinda struggle with this), let's stick to the facts here people, and the fact is Chick-fil-a is awesome! Their workers, their establishment, their food.....but the lines....oh the lines....sometimes that can get a bit out of hand (am I right)! But this app, YES, this app....it's a game changer people! It helped me to get in and out within just a few minutes...and I really wondered too on how fast they could actually get this order up since it really did seem CRAZY busy...but they did, and I was a very happy camper! You can actually order whenever via the app and let them know when you should be arriving and they will have it ready for you based on your ETA....now how great is that?! read more

I don't think I could ever rate a Chick-fil-A below four stars, because well, it's Chick-fil-A. Still, this location is usually busy and it looks like they are surviving on reputation. The chicken portions are smaller than normal at other Chick-fil-A's, and they purposely do not fill fry boxes. I feel like I'm on ration when I visit the store. read more

As far as Chick-fil-a's go this one never disappoints. Portions are never cut down on (yes that happens) and the staff is so helpful and courteous (typical CFA practices not withstanding). The owner (Dan) obviously cares about his staff and his restaurant, if something is won't they make it right and generally make sure you know that your an important customer. TJ is always helpful and they ALWAYS accommodate our large youth group after Church every week. read more

I gave this place 2 stars strictly because of their confusing line to the cashiers. I could see the cashiers but was lost in a maze of twists, turns and dead ends all the while being teased by the delicious scent of the ice cream. I wandered lost for for about 3 hours then found myself stuck with my genitals in the napkin dispenser. It would be wise of Chick Fil a to fix this awful design flaw in order to avoid awkward situations like this in the future. Loved the food though read more

I love coming here with my 1 year old. They're always willing to help take things to the table for me or fetch a high chair. Today when ordering I forgot to order myself a drink so after paying I ordered a tea & pulled out my wallet & the sweet cashier said it was on the house. I always get treated so warmly while here. Who knew this place was so delicious!!!??!! My family took me here since I had never been to a Chick-fil-A before. I had their chicken nuggets and waffle fries; seriously, who doesn't like waffle fries??! The nuggets were so fresh and you can tell it's made with real chicken meat. When we first pulled up, there was a line in the drive-thru lane almost around the restaurant. So we went inside and the customer service was on point. I was craving chicken nuggets for dinner tonight and placed an order for pickup through my brother-in-law. I was looking forward to my meal until I opened up the bag and found "grilled nuggets" instead of regular chicken nuggets. This is more of a marketing standpoint to set apart from other restaurants. However, maybe if customer service phrased the order as "breaded or skinless" it would prevent confusion for most consumers. Generally, people think of chicken nuggets as breaded not skinless. Skinless would seemingly be "skinless chunks" versus nuggets. Overall, this location is is a good one. Just a minor adjustment needed to win over the extra star. read more

My drive-thru order was missing food so I went inside. The line was loong. I decided to try to get help directly at the register. There was so much confusion behind the register that the manager was flattered and running back and forth.
