Before I begin let me start off by saying that this review is based solely upon my personal experiences and my personal experiences alone, so without further explanation let's begin!. There was a online order deal that the T Mobile app had available, the online deal was a $3 chicken tenders meal deal, so I decided to take full advantage of this $3 chicken tenders combo deal, why not take advantage of this deal when the normal price is almost $10 for the chicken tenders combo meal. The only thing I had a problem with was the fact their dining room door entrance was locked for whatever reason. I seen a technician outside working so it could've been a technician issue inside the dining room. I understand things happen but I believe I sign in the door letting customers know they had an issue inside would've been helpful. They also didn't give me the sauces I asked for, it seems they gave me what they wanted or what they had available. I didn't realize it until I got home. This is one of the reasons I choose not to eat fast food because most of the employees don't take pride in their jobs, they're just there to collect a paycheck, nothing more!. Because the employee at the drive thru could've let me know the sauce I wanted wasn't available, it's just common courtesy! If it was not for my kids I would never go here. I submit online orders when I am sitting at work, drive 30 minutes to get here, and still have to wait for my food, almost every time. Ok... I haven't been to a KFC in ages. Went here strictly to try out the vegan chicken. I was a little excited but moreso wondering what to expect considering I had never been here. First thing, dang the parking lot. I think they need to better mark their lot or put up pavers to prevent people from going the wrong way to the drive-thru. After our order (we went in to pickup), the line had built up so much that we couldn't get out because people went the wrong way to get to the drive-thru. Fortunately, someone saw my predicament and was nice enough to force the line to back up so I could get out. Had that person not been that nice, I would've easily sat there for about 20 minutes.. As far as the food, it's about what you'd expect. It was definitely a "sure, I'd try that again" However, in terms of value, I'm just not sold on the cost. My aunt and I stopped in for some chicken for her and I. When we got it home there was feathers still attached to the cooked chicken. KFC used to great on quality control. Now the company doesn't care. We will never go to a KFC ever again. And we will be letting everyone know that cooking chicken with the feathers on is unhealthy. This has to be the most ghetto KFC in the Tidewater area. I placed an order online and placed orders at two other restaurants picked those orders up and I still had to wait for my food at KFC. The staff is unprofessional no one is in uniform and the conversation that I overheard was asking another employee about how is it to have a big butt. This location on Western Branch Blvd needs to be revamped with new employees or either closed down. They never have any chicken ready and staff walking around in their street clothes hair down to their rear looking a hot mess. All the female employees were on their cell phone. When I finally had to drive to the drive up window and was greeted by an employee chewing gum and smacking like a cow. The inside eating area was dirty but everyone sitting around chitchatting. It's been a minute since I've been to any KFC but probably a decade since I've been to this location. i used to live in this area known as Churchland back in the late 90's. It's good to see that they've remodeled the place and it looks more upscale and modern. Kudos to KFC for that but major hit on customer service. The cashier at the counter had as much personality as the change in my pocket. Food was meh. I didn't get the original but experimented with some other baked version that was marked down and after eating it I can see why. I think I can say I took one for the team on this one. But then again, I only slipped in here for a quick bite while waiting for a baseball tournament to start up. My mother and I went through the drive thru last night to order food for my grandmother and the rest of our family. When ordering some things weren't available which is understandable we both have worked in fast food before and know how it is sometimes. The young man that was helping us was calm and had great customer service although after asking some questions about what was available so that we could adjust our appetites we were met with one of the most rude workers we've ever heard. She hopped on the mic to raise her voice at us repeatedly about what they didn't have mind you we never had a attitude when being helped. The rude yelling through the mic from her continued as the young man tried to get our order and asked several times in anguish whether or not we still wanted what we had previously ordered. Not to mention we were told that the fryers we going to be down for "hours" and after saying that we'd wait just to call her bluff we were met with huffs and puffs. We abandoned the drive thru to go inside to finish ordering and hopefully receive an apology just for the MANAGER on duty who was so hostile to us to run in the back leaving the other customers she was helping at the counter. We were told that her name was Jasmine and we're also informed that she totally screwed up that persons order by over charging them and then leaves them at the counter along with us for over 25 minutes making the other employees pick up her slack because she couldn't face the consequences of her own actions. I would like to end this by saying that she (Jasmine) shouldn't have a customer service job when she cannot handle simple questions about their inventory. We just ordered from this location. I understand it's kinda late and towards their closing time. However, I don't appreciate the attitude. And they didn't give me the correct items that I ordered. I ordered a large drink and the lady who took my order didn't even bother to ask what drink. Also I told them that I don't want any chicken breasts and she confirmed. Tonight is 10:45pm on Monday, 2/13/2023. We ordered the 8 piece dark meat bucket meal online and then picked it up at the drive thru window. The order was supposed to contain 8 pieces of dark meat chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, cole slaw, and 4 biscuits. We received the chicken bucket as well as mashed potatoes but with NO gravy on it, green beans ??, and NO biscuits for $30!! What a disappointment!!! On Monday July 10, 2023 at 11pm, I was door dashing and they told me that they did not have ANY of the food that the person ordered. I tried to ask them what else they had and they completely ignored me for over 7 minutes. Once i finally got them to answer me the lady asked "were you talking to me" like she wasn't just talking to me a couple minutes ago. Then i proceeded to ask her if we could just get the food she had left over because that's what the person that had ordered the food wanted me to get and she ignored me again. Once i got her to finally answer she replied with "What was your question" in a very rude and disrespectful tone of voice i have ever heard. I then told her i will take the rest of the food she has and she said "Well technically we are supposed to be closed" and it was 11pm and they did NOT close til 1130pm. I think we have only stopped here 3 or 4 times in the last 5 years and each time forces me to remember why we eat here so seldom. Something is always lacking. The prior time the service was ok but the food was not. This time the food turned out ok but the service was really poor. There was only three customers at the counter when I arrived but for each the order was taken, the fellow behind the counter had to fill the order while the customer waited then paid. Every other fast food has the customer paying then stepping aside while to order was filled by someone other than the person handling the money. The other situation was that they were out of the grilled chicken breasts. This was not late at night so running out of food is a little odd. I have gone there a lot because it is convenient and close to home. They are only getting one star because the building looks okay most days. However, I am very sick and tired of pitiful, horrible, unprofessional attitudes that I get from almost every employee. The food is always cold. I am always missing several food items. I call the store almost every single time and the phone just rings. No one ever answers the phone. The store is constantly out of food to measures beyond what would be considered acceptable. Tonight will most likely be my last time giving them a chance. Tonight, I went to the drive-thru. I was told over the speaker but the drive-thru is down, and I was asked to come inside. I went inside, placed my order, and had a seat. They were out of almost every food item. The soda machine had no soda in it. It was flat and/or had no soda flavoring. There was no tea to drink either. They had the attitude that made it seem as if they were expecting their paying customers to drink water. My food was not even warm. The chicken tenders that were given to me, were cut in half to equal the number that I ordered. The mashed potatoes appeared to have been sitting for a while. The biscuits were hard as a rock and stale. I had to walk up to the counter four different times . They forgot one of my sandwiches, my silverware, my cookies, and my receipt. I was given the wrong sandwich, and the person taking the order decided to just take the sandwich I was given and pour the sauce Of the sandwich I was supposed to get onto it. It was absolutely drenched. I asked for my receipt and she acted as if she did not hear me several times and then walked away. I decided to wait until they were not as busy at the counter to get my silverware and the manager on duty caught sight of me and asked if I was waiting on something. I told him that I was waiting for the counter to become less busy so that I could get my silverware. He then proceeded to mumble derogatory things that I will not repeat under his breath and told me to get up and get my silverware. There was another customer that was there way before I got there who was still waiting on their food for about 30 minutes after I got there. He was given the runaround all for a $5 fill up. I have never seen a restaurant this an organized, who cannot seem to order supplies before they are completely out of food. I have never been to a restaurant that has no customer service or respect for their customers. I have called that restaurant a number of times and have never received an answer. The phone rings and rings and rings until you get an odd fax machine message. KFC is one of the only fast food chains that I go to. It's really a shame that the one that is close to home is very pitiful. Now, I will definitely drive the extra 10/ 15 minutes to the next nearest KFC when I decide to treat myself again. read more

Last night there was one person working and she had to check if she had enough colonel's strips. First off, there's the giant pothole just to get to the restaurant never mind the car crushing high curbs you have to navigate thru for their drive thru. There's 2 menu boards in the drive thru that assign different meal numbers for the same items so you get corrected by the person on the mic like YOU'RE the idiot. Then they're rude as heck, miserable, ungrateful women working here. If your so unhappy, work somewhere else where customers don't have to put up with your misery. Lastly, it's not that difficult to get an order right. I've tried this location twice in the hopes I just had a bad experience once but nope, they just suck here. The first time I got my order but sat there at the window waiting for my drink while they ignored me, then laughed when they FINALLY opened window again as I wasn't moving until I got the rest of my order. This time, I had asked for mashed potatoes and gravy with my fill up box and got back to work to find French fries, no napkin, no utensils. Ghetto kfc for sure. Don't waste your time or money.
