I have been patronizing Chick-fil-a for years, but just never thought about doing a review on this fast food restaurant. I don't have a very big appetite, so my usual is the kid's nugget meal with fries, which is just the right size; sometimes I mix it up and get grilled nuggets with fruit as the side. I love the kale salad side as well. Every now and again, I may order the famous sandwich. In any case, coming home later than usual from a meeting and wanted something quick. I usually go to Zaxby's for drive-thru salads, but I had already had one this week and wanted something different. My daughter mentioned the Chick-fil-A salads, which I had never tried. So, I ordered the Southwest Chicken Salad (I was in the mood to indulge and asked for the crispy fried chicken, lol!). The salad was pretty good; of course, the best thing about the salad was the chicken. The corn and black beans were "skimpy" in the salad, and there were no tortilla strips as I expected (didn't realize this until after I got home; thought I saw them on them when I checked the order real quick before leaving). There also seemed to be more iceberg lettuce than the mixed greens that were advertised. Still, the salad hit the spot. Just on another side note, the customer service at this place is wonderful. Though there are almost always long lines, the folks at Chick-fil-A have mastered efficiency and the line goes rather quickly. At the height of the drive-thru COVID shots, I told some folks that the medical profession needed to get with Chick-fil-a to come up with a plan to get the lines running smoothly!

    Hair in the food.

Upon getting home we discovered hair in the food. This has never happened before, but I'm extremely disappointed it did in the first place.

What you see before you is unfortunately not a first time offense. Nor is it isolated. A few months ago, I received a chicken mini that was not fully cooked. I was quite taken aback when I bit into it and saw pink in the center. I somehow overcame my disgust and returned to chick fil a (the same location, might I add) a few times before once again falling victim to raw meat. My experience was already tainted when I reached in the bag and found one singular honey mustard sauce when I had in fact asked for a couple chick fil a sauces. Little did I know there was a much bigger problem waiting in the bag for me. I regretfully dipped my sandwich into my less than desired honey mustard and was immediately hit with horror as I looked into a very raw piece of chicken staring back at me. I spit out the bite (as you can see in the photo) and sat for a few moments before calling the store. As generous as I found their suggestion to come back for another sandwich, I simply couldn't stomach the idea. I fear that my patronage to chick fil a has ended for good this time. I hope all who are reading this exercise caution, especially when visiting this location.

I don't frequent this Chick-fil-a often, they were about to Close so perhaps that was the reason for my less than favorable nuggets. I am used to them being plump and juicy, these were a bit lackluster in terms of size and they tasted dry and over-cooked. My fries on the other hand were cooked to perfection hot, fresh and crispy. And my husband however did enjoy his Chick-fil-A sandwich. I will say that the team members were are all very courteous and the restaurant was nice and clean.

Menu description: panko-fried avocado, crispy bacon, heirloom tomatoes, arcadian lettuce, roasted red pepper and garlic crema on toasted sourdough. It was toasted white bread, chopped romaine, plain avocado slices, regular tomatoes, crispy bacon, and the crema. If I wanted a basic BLT, I'd have ordered it. And probably paid less. Im not a picky person but one should be able to expect to get a product as advertised. Waitress was fantastic - I explained I know it's not her, but I was super disappointed. There are some really tasty options here and service was good. We even got used to the frequent thud of bowling balls being dropped on the lanes to where we hardly noticed the sound. The charcuterie board for 2 was generous for $16 and was enjoyed throughout the meal. The Sully Sullenberger burger was tasty and the fries that came with were outstanding. I wouldn't come here again without getting those fries. They didn't need any ketchup. It's going to be noisy because this is a bowling alley/arcade after all. There is that thump of bowling balls hitting the lanes as well as plenty of kids. If you come for the food you can seek out the dining area back behind the bar to minimize the noise.

I got "The Hummer," which has turkey, feta, black olives, tomato, onion, and lettuce on rye-pumpernickel with mayonnaise and house dressing. It was so good. The bread was SUPER YUMMY and looked beautiful too (if you care about aesthetics). All the flavors blended together really well without anything overpowering, and it had this refreshing quality to it that made it stand out. I would definitely order it again. My partner got "The Sauté," which is turkey with Parmesan, Cheddar, Swiss, and a mix of sautéed onions, peppers, and mushrooms on a warm poppy seed roll, plus lettuce, tomato, mayonnaise, and house dressing. The roll was good and it was very flavorful but is was the combination of the veggies, turkey, and melted cheeses gave it a lot of depth. Everything tasted fresh. I got a combo with Mrs. Vickie's salt and vinegar chips, which is always a good sign. And the sweet tea--wow. It wasn't overly sweet, but what really stood out was the flavor. You could actually taste the tea, with slightly minty, earthy notes that made it feel really well done. That's rare. Overall, for what this place is, it deserves all stars. The staff was kind and helpful, the food came out quickly, and everything we had was genuinely good. P.S. There is no photos because I forgot due to it being so da** good!

I'm a longtime customer of Z Bardhi's in Tallahassee -- I've dined there 6-7 times, and I once hosted a group of 10 there. I genuinely believe in supporting local restaurants, especially after sticking with them through the challenges of the last several years. That's why this experience hurts to write about. I placed a to-go order recently, and what I received was shockingly poor. Had I been eating in the restaurant, I would have sent it back immediately. The Caprese Salad ($16) was listed as sliced tomatoes topped with buffalo mozzarella, basil, and balsamic vinaigrette over mixed greens. Instead, I received four thin tomato slices, four flat, uninspiring pieces of supermarket-style mozzarella totaling less than two inches, and one singular small piece of wilted lettuce. That's it. For sixteen dollars. The Caesar salad was equally minuscule and underwhelming. The large pizza with sausage, mushrooms, and green peppers (with the $2 per topping upcharge) was also disappointing -- most of the pie had almost no green peppers, and the sausage and mushrooms were scattered so sparsely that entire sections were bare. I understand restaurants can have off nights, but this wasn't an off night. This was a clear lack of care and portion control coming out of the kitchen. When loyal customers are consistently shorted on ingredients and charged premium prices for what feels like bare-minimum effort, it doesn't just disappoint -- it breaks trust. Z Bardhi's, I hope management sees this and takes it seriously. I want to keep supporting you, but experiences like this make it very difficult. If this level of effort continues, many of us who have been regulars will have no choice but to take our business elsewhere. We have options, and loyalty has to go both ways. Photos attached for reference.
