Crinkle fries are solid with a good crunch, and the piece of Texas toast was buttery and went well with other items.

OK, I don't want to come off in this review, sounding like I didn't understand the business model…read moreor proof-of-concept of Mr.Beast Burger. My children pleaded with me to order it, namely because of the assumption that their affection for this YouTube philanthropist would easily carry over into the fast food burger realm. Unfortunately, it did not. I have already read many reviews complaining that the food was cold, which I feel is a tad bit unfair considering Mr. Beast exists solely as a delivery food option. It's like 12° out, and the food is delivered almost 20 minutes away. Of course, it's going to be cold. So the luke warm to frigid temperature of my family's burgers tonight were certainly not the criteria I am using to judge. For those who are unaware, Mr.Beast Burger relies on other restauranteurs To make their food and door delivery services for the rest. In theory, it's genius. This YouTube sensation gets to label-slap his name and brand on a simple burger recipe all across the country and has built-in promotion from the 55 million followers he has online. So, if you are a Toledoan hoping to find a brick and mortar MrBeast restaurant to visit, of course, you will not find one. The delivery time for door dash was pretty decent, nearing 30 minutes. As soon as we opened the paper bag - if he came pretty evident that this online business exist in reality, only in the form of a digital recipe alongside massive rolls of MrBeast stickers given to local employees to stick on generic wrapping and generic bags to give the illusion of a franchise. Regardless, the true testament was the food. Aside from the temperature as previously mentioned, the Mr. beast burger was decently pleasant, with a mixture of Beef patties, American cheese, ketchup, mayo, pickles, and brown mustard, all rammed between soft buns. The pictures on the menu, of course look delightful. I expected the real thing to look like a squished mess, but it even looked less desirable than I imagined. Luckily, the taste of it was pretty acceptable. Scoring no higher than a 7 on a scale of 1 to 10, the Beast burger was definitely appetizing, despite its poor appearance. However, that's where the niceties stop. My son had the Chris burger, which was advertised to include bacon and french fries squashed atop a burger patty. But he found the bacon to be excessively chewy and almost under cooked. His patties were thinner and were much more overcooked and tough than the beast burger. The fries were the worst. Not only did they suffer the most from the chill weather outside, making them not even remotely warm, but many of the fries seemed completely under cooked. Almost like they were slivers of frozen potato. In conclusion, if Mr. Beast Burger existed as a brick and mortar restaurant that I could visit in the summer, guaranteeing a piping hot plate that could be easily returned if undercooked, then this YouTube-turned-burger sensation would earn at least a moderately respectable review in my mind. But considering it's status as delivery-only, I highly forewarn Toledoans from rolling the dice on a risky concept that banks its success on pre-existing marketing from a world dependent on social media than on the quality of it's food and service.

I use to always get Mr beast when I worked in bowling green and I loved it it was amazing the best…read moreburger around, but not from the Toledo one sadly, I ordered from the Toledo Mrbeast and they sent me 4 burgers I only ordered two, the patty's, where dry, the buns where hard, there was almost nothing on the burger I wanted I even ordered extra sauce idk why this one was so much worse then the other one but it definitely disappointed me............... I would rather drive the 45 min one to bowling green for there's then ever eat from this one again........and it really disappoints me that I paid 50 bucks with delivery for such a horrible meal that I didn't even end up eating.

So, the Italian sub is served hot, which isn't always my preference (I think most of their subs are served hot). I like the freshness of the cold cuts served cold. I will say that to their benefit, they don't microwave their sandwiches. They have a steamer they place the meats and cheeses into and then blast them with steam. It is a nice touch, much better than nuking things. Anyway, the bread they used didn't have much "personality" going for it. I love really crusty sub rolls with soft, pillowy insides. This was kind of a softer roll that didn't have any character. Kind of disappointing. The sandwich itself was dressed with mayo (my favorite condiment), but it really needed an acid note to balance the unctuous, fatty quality of the meat, cheese and mayo (hello vinegar...). The veggies just got lost and really didn't add a thing. I did request jalapenos on the sandwich, and unfortunately, they didn't add much (too mild). They do have one of those drink machines that offer what seems to be an endless choice of beverages (love those). There appears to be a cleanliness issue too. I got there around 12:30 and the floors were really dirty. The walls and vents could use some attention, etc. It just had the appearance of not being well kept. In summation, the place wasn't bad, but I can't say I'd go back anytime soon.

Tony's opened later than Rudy's, so Rudy's it was. The staff was nice and accommodating, and while I did look at the breakfast options, I decided while in Rome...get a dog at a place called Rudy's Hot Dog. I had a dog with chili, onions, cheese, and mustard. It was pretty darn good. Beef...breakfast of champions?

Jeeeeez, this place is FILTHY!…read more As I was waiting for the hot dog chef to acknowledge my presence, I was looking around the food prep area and noticed that the place was filthy. There were bits of cheese, sauce, and mustard all over the prep area where they make the dogs. There was grunge all over the grill and the floor was dirty. As I was "received" by her majesty, the hot dog chef/queen, I saw her place my dog buns directly into the cheese, sauce, mustard grunge on her prep area. I asked her to start over and to place my dogs on a plate, not the prep surface. Seriously, the kids need to learn that these surfaces need to be wiped down after every order or at least when the surfaces become soiled. As I rounded the corner, I went to grab some silverware. Soup spoons and knives. No forks, no teaspoons. I also noticed that the milkshake machine was also encrusted with goo. As I waited for the cashier to pay up, I waited and waited and then waited some more. He was busy helping the girl assemble someone's drive through order. So, he was handling money and food... Nice. I never saw him (or anyone) wash their hands. At this point, I'm not sure why I didn't walk out. I guess I was just really hungry for some hot dogs. So, I used to go to Rudy's with my grandmother every other week or so. She loved hot dogs as much as I do. She passed away 10 years ago, and I really slowed down in how many times I would go to Rudy's. Grandma couldn't see or I'm sure she would have wanted to go elsewhere. That said, we usually went to the Rudy's on Sylvania or on Summit. They were the cleanest. Now, the other Rudy's really need to clean up their act and clean prep surfaces as needed. They need to sweep and mop the floors and clean the equipment before the end of the day (please confirm it does get cleaned at least once per day...). I can't say that after eating my 2 dogs that it was worth it. The "kids" working there were rude, the place is filthy and it was $10 bucks for 2 dogs and an order of onion rings. Next time I want chili dogs, I'll just make my own.

I placed my order and was given a number to receive my order- whether dining in or carryout. The ambiance was typical fast food but clean. People at the register were pleasant. I ordered a cod fish fried dinner and a grilled chicken sandwich -to go. The estimated wait time was 10 minutes and that was pretty accurate. I should have double-checked my other before leaving but I didn't. realize until I got home that my grilled chicken sandwich didn't have the Swiss Cheese I'd requested. (Added some mozzarella from the fridge.) The chicken seemed overcooked and tough to cut with a knife. They did get the tartar sauce right on the fish dinner and included a cole slaw that looked far more creamy than advertised. The fries, however, were amazing. I've posted pictures below so you can decide for yourselves. I could personally take it or leave it but my mom seemed happy with her order. I ordered the Garlic & Bacon Pub Burger (double smash burger) along with a side of mashed potatoes & gravy. My order was ready in about 5 minutes or so. Dining area looked very clean. Did not check out the bathrooms. Usually when you enter a Culver's, you receive a friendly greeting. That did not happen. The young lady called out to a co-worker asking her to take care of me, then just walked away. Wasn't to much with my interaction as I only had a pick up order. When the food was presented, by another staff member, she thanked me and told me to have a great day. Food was good. Decent price for quality and portion size. As I have mentioned before, if I decide to get fast food, I search out the closest Culver's on Yelp.

If you have been to Five Guys, you know the burgers aren't that large and mine were on the flat top a bit too long. Decent flavor but just a tad bit too long on the flat top. By the time I got my food, I had less than 10 minutes remaining on my lunch break. It wasn't all that busy, so I was a bit perplexed as to wht it took what seemed to me as an inordinate amount of time to get some burgers and fries done. Strike one... Total price for this meal was over $20 - say whaaaaat??? It's been a while since I had Five Guys and at these prices, it may be a hot minute before I return. Strike 2... Lastly, the young lady taking orders seemed as if: she was having a bad day; didn't want to be at work; or just didn't have much of a cordial personality. She didn't smile, and everything was matter-of-fact transactional conversation. Strike 3... Again, I haven't been to a Five Guys in quite some time and based on this experience, it will be a while before I go back.
