We stopped in for lunch on our way from Dallas to Galveston. Several employees warmly greeted us and held the door open for us. We had the pleasure of Brandon assisting us! He took our order and repeated it back to us. He is very professional and friendly and provides customer service with a smile. Hubby asked him about the plastic marker, how they know the order is for us and Brandon kindly explained that since I paid through the app, they had my name. She was rude right out of the gate, rolling her eyes when I asked her a question about a menu option (some services were down because of hurricane shipments, which is understandable). I was traveling in the area and stopped in for breakfast. We were immediately greeted by an employee Brandon. I had some menu questions and Brandon was delightful. He was extremely knowledgeable about the menu and encouraged me to try the Hash Brown Scramble Bowl which is my new favorite menu item. Along with suggested some different sauces that paired well with the bowl. Our breakfast was served hot and tasted great. The greatest aggravation with this location is how slow they are. You can place an order through the app and still spend 15 minutes as the only car in the parking lot. 2-3 minutes into sitting in the lot, they'll send a notification saying it's on the way and you don't see a person come out for another 10 minutes. I ordered 3 chicken biscuits add egg, bacon, and cheese. 1 chicken biscuit add egg and bacon. Got to the office not one of the biscuits had chicken on them and all 4 had cheese. I do not like cheese so I always ask for no cheese but maybe 1 time in 12 will I get no cheese. I end up giving it away. I've seen the billboards and saw a couple of the commercials. I do like the reputation for being a Christ-centered business. The toddler playground was great and I like the table mats they offer with the high chairs. Something is off with the chicken here, the texture on the nuggets is terrible and nothing like any other chick fil a I've been to, it has a tough and often stringy texture I've also found a lot of tendons in the nuggets throughout different meals. This location turned me off of chicken in general for months. Also the fries are hardly ever fresh. The two stars are for the fact that the service is good and fast like most chick fil a restaurants. I am always so grateful to see a Chik-fil-a sign off the highway when I'm on long road trips. It's my favorite of the fast foods and I never get tired of it! I didn't get to go inside for this location so I can't comment on the service or how well kept it may have been, but I did do the drive thru! And just like any other Chik-fil-a it never ceases to amaze me how fast and reliable their drive thru is, or how great their customer service is. It's such a quick in and out.
