Angry Bird and Nashville Tender with Fries (both level 2)

Wow! Talk about Nashville Hot! Went to the Kelly Brewing company to find that Chick N' Bros had their truck there! First time having their Chicken Sandwiches. The sandwich was awesome, juicy and flavorful. Word to the wise I can handle a fair bit of spice so I thought level 2, no problem. Well level two was a problem, not a huge problem but it was pretty hot for a '2'! (Caveat emptor) The service was super friendly and fast, answered all my questions and made suggestions.

Count your days lol. taste is decent. But this was 23! and the menu said they were "large tenders" these are bite size. 1 dollar per small sauce . I paid for 2 extra and only got 1. And the tip went straight to the 25 percent.. wild practices. I feel like I was robbed and it's my fault for trusting a food truck lol

Food truck reminiscent of Love Burn in SSF. Ordered the Original and Nashville Fire Chicken Sandwich. You can choose your spice level. I recommend a 1 if you want some heat, but not have it be overwhelming. Ordered a level 2 and the burn was real. I would have preferred less spice so I could appreciate the other flavors. The fried chicken was massive and the batter was nice and crispy. Of the two sandwiches, I prefer the original. I slightly prefer Love Burn, as I think their Cole slaw complimented well to subdue the heat, but both make a solid fried chicken.

After seeing the long line for the food truck, I thought it must be great - but it was horrible! I ordered the original chicken sandwich. The chicken was cold and dry, and I had to dip it in ranch to make it edible. I love chicken sandwiches, so I'll keep on looking for good ones!

Noooo please bring the previous recipe back. The chicken tenders used to be genuine cuts of chicken and unfortunately are now basically chicken nuggets.

We got the chicken tenders in an attempt to be somewhat healthier in our dietary option. However, this backfired as we got the tenders and I could not recommend those to anyone unless you are a feign for cafeteria-like food. The tenders came out to be super small, maybe 2 oz per piece, and flat as a priority mail envelope. The fries are definitely an afterthought like others have mentioned. I still finished the food though. I couldn't let $15 go to waste. One highlight was the Bro sauce, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Again, this was JUST for the chicken tenders. I think we should have gotten the chicken sando. Was pretty excited to try this after hearing about it and seeing it at a lot of events around San Jose.

They make a really juicy and tasty fried chicken sandwich! Definitely one of the stronger chicken trucks around. Decent heat level for me at the lower levels. Really crispy too. Them using honey on it was genius!

$25.44 for a chicken sandwich with fries from a food truck. Granted it's a really good chicken sandwich, but still. Nashville Fire (Level 2): A lot of different flavors going on here. The chicken was lightly dusted in chili powder. I chose a Level 2 since I wanted a little zing, but didn't want to go wild back at the office. If it was in the privacy of my own home, probably would have gone higher. The bro sauce packed a lot of other flavor layers; I really like it. The chick sauce added a sweet contrast, though make a little too sweet. At times feeling like borderline cinnamon bun icing. The bun was fluffy and the fresh cabbage was a nice contrast to the all the deep fried stuff. Chuck Norris w/ Cheese (Level 2): This one hit just right. The BBQ sauce tasted better than the grocery store kind. The chili dust on the fried chicken gave it even more flavor. Nice crispy chicken and fluffy run. Plus wow, that thick cut of cheese, totally worth it. Adds a nice fatty contrast to everything else. But just a sandwich, no fries, ends up being $18.68. Fries: Solid, but not wow worthy.

A solid chicken sandwich! Chicken was super juicy and crispy. It took about 10-15 min for our food to be ready. However when ordering on the kiosk, there were only two spice level options available - 1 or 4 and nothing in between. It would've been nice to have all the spice options.

Chick N' Bros hits the spot EVERY time! Portions are huge, chicken is crispy and juicy with just the right blend of flavors and seasonings. The orange and white sauces here add a spicy, sweet and creamy kick which is unique compared to other spots that just use an aioli. We've been supporting them since their location off of Commercial St. during the pandemic, and they now go to various locations through the week. Follow their IG for location updates! NASHVILLE FIRE CHICKEN SANDWICH: 5/5 ($17) + MUST try! The blend of spices, chili oil, honey, and sauces add a TON of flavor with the perfect blend of flavors + Level 2 (habanero) makes you feel the burn after the first half of the sandwich! Tastes soo good though + Level 1 (cayenne) is just as delicious but I love the kick you get from Level 2

    Krisha P.

What happened to the quality? Not sure if this was because I got food during a major event but chicken sando was dry and cold. Also, the sauce in the sandwich sweeter than I remembered. So sadddd.

I got a level 2 Nashville fire sandwich, and my boyfriend got a level 2 chicken tender w/fries. Portion was decent, pricing is on par with other chicken sandwich places I've been to: The cashier told us we could ask for lighter spice if we wanted, but we thought level 2 would be reasonable. We love spicy, but we're not trying to risk our tummy being in pain while we're at the festival. "Level 2" ended up being spicier than expected, but it was manageable. We felt like they gave us the wrong level though, because it tasted more like ghost pepper than habanero. We order both spices pretty often. Usually my tummy would only react to ghost pepper and not habanero. I did have some leftovers since the chicken piece was pretty chunky. We asked for utensils since we knew eating this would be messy. They said no utensils (I saw a bag of disposable utensils hanging in a bag though...) but they did offer us napkins. Overall 3.5 rounded up for the chicken sandwich. I do like the honey flavor paired with the fries.

What is in the batter - is it made with wheat flour or rice flour?

Potatoes starch. Just like what Korean fried chicken used to make it so crunchy.

Is there milk or eggs in the sandwiches or sauce? Can people allergic to milks and eggs eat anything on your menu?

There's milk and eggs in our bro sauce and our Mayo.

Final Thoughts: 4.33/5…read more They were our caterer for a work party. This is a food truck and they seem to have everything ready to be served to us. Asian fusion foods are typically my go-to choice and so I was very excited that they were providing us food today. Food: Garlic Fried Chicken Bowl: 4.3/5 The sauce on this is divine with the chicken. It's like an unagi sauce with garlic in it. It has some saltiness, sweetness, and that umami flavor. Garlic taste and scent is present, but not too overpowering, which I really enjoyed. That flavor is great, but some places really overdo it for me. Just a personal preference though. For the chicken itself, it's very tender and juicy on the inside and still has some of that nice crunch on the outside. Perhaps this is because the cut of meat is the chicken thigh. It's not super crispy because I don't believe this is being fried to order for us. Seems to be food held in a warmer until its ordered. Kimchi was the side that they had provided with this dish and I am here for that. Some people aren't the biggest fan of this and I saw that from the looks my coworkers gave it. Personally, very much enjoyed it though. That sourness and spice from the kimchi just balances out this bowl really well. The veggies are nice and crispy. Gives it that freshness. Also, very slight detail and addition, but I always enjoy the sesame seeds and furikake sprinkle as a garnish. There's a nice nuttiness to it that they provide as a simple garnish. Spicy Tuna Poké: 4.0/5 This item was alright. The flavor was also really good, but I did get tired of eating just one type of poke protein. Typically when I go to get poke, it's 2 to 3 scoops of different proteins with various sauces to change up the flavor. I did get tired of this one after a few bites. The flavor of this item was very good though. There's a nice kick from it and the flavor tastes like a mix of kewpie mayo, soy sauce, sriracha, and sugar. Very simple, but you can't go wrong with those flavors. For the side, they added seaweed salad. Again, not your average side dish. Personally, I enjoyed it, but it might not be a common or familiar side dish for other individuals. It has a nice sweetness and nuttiness to it. For texture, there's a nice bite to it, which is ncie since the tuna is very soft and doesn't contribute much to the texture component. Menu: Small Their menu seems quite limited, but again, that is normal for a food truck, I believe. The items they provide do it just fine for me. I appreciate that they also have an option for the vegetarians. The menu we were provided was limited to 4 items, which is fine since the scale of this party wasn't anything too wild and we were able to satisfy everyone with what they provided. --------- Quality: Alright The quality of the food seems OK. It came out within a few minutes for us and I don't think it takes just a few minutes to fry that piece of chicken. I could be wrong though, so no one quote me on that. Just an observation. Not the highest expectations because their limited to the space and area in general. The product they provide is very good though. Overall, for something that has raw seafood in it, it seemed quite fresh and tasty. The items aren't made to order either and it's more assemble and serve to order, but again, they seem to be making it work with the product that they are selling. Price: Estimated Because this was a catering event, I am actually unaware of how much my administrator paid for the food. What I know is that she paid for a certain amount of bowls. From the looks of this item though, I want to estimate the price of each bowl being around $16 to $20 depending on the food item provided. Seems quite average for a bowl of food these days. Service: Quick and fast Because most of the food is already prepared and ready, the interaction with them itself is very limited. They took our order and provided us with the food. Nothing too significant to note and that is to be expected with the food truck. They were very sweet though and explained the menu items to be when I had a question. Ambiance: Simple and cute food truck The design on their food truck is so cute. The riceball is my favorite because it has this very cute face and just looks darling to me. The outside has a simple design with the name and logo on top and then perhaps some of the food items they provide written on the bottom section of the truck. Doesn't seem like anything too fancy, but simplicity is best for me. Location/Parking: Wherever they travel and navigate to Because they're a food truck, they can drive to you, which is really convenient. On Yelp, it states that their located on 36 Commercial Street in downtown, which might be where their truck is serving most of the time. Again, it is a food truck though, so they have the ability to drive to you and travel around to their customers, which is quite convenient is reaching a broader group of people.

I had a birria taco from Mi Lindo Apatzingán, my husband got four tacos, and we also got rice and beans that we really enjoyed. Our food came out pretty quickly, definitely in less than 10 minutes. We also got sour apple drinks from Las Cherry's. The drinks took a little longer, over 10 minutes, but there was only one girl working at the time, so it was completely understandable. The drinks were refreshing and I definitely want to come back and try more of what Las Cherry's has to offer. I really like the whole concept here because there are so many different food trucks in one place. There's plenty of covered outdoor seating, TVs to watch while you eat, and colorful decorations that make it a fun but still calm and chill place to hang out. Even with some of the trucks being closed, there were still plenty of options. I would definitely come back, especially to try more from Las Cherry's and the potato food truck that caught my eye!
