A small modern shop specializing in just spicy fried chicken sandwiches. They also do wraps and salads using the fried chicken and also fries. There are a few tables inside, and everything looked clean. We tried the basic macaco chicken sandwich with mild spice and the parmesan garlic fries. The sandwich was amazing with a great sauce, pickles, and slaw. The chicken was cooked just right. I could have gone spicier than mild but my friend is sensitive and we were sharing. The fries, however, were just ok. The parmesan garlic was just a powder on top, and I wasn't crazy with the actual base fries. What an unassuming spot! Stopped by for a quick lunch and was taken by surprise for sure. I got the Macaco Sandwich spice level fire. I typically find that places have a hard time making chicken breast juicy and not dry, but Macaco was honestly the prime example of a perfect chicken breast sandwich. Freshly fried so the chicken comes piping hot and crispy. Inside was so moist and juicy. Perfect ratio of bread to chicken to slaw and sauce. The chicken was also huge! (pic doesn't do it justice). The seasoning wasn't overpowering and I loved the peppery-ness of it which carries an authentic kick! Overall, no complaints about the food from me. The meal does get a bit expensive when paired with fries, but the sandwich itself was enough to satisfy me. I would say it took around 15-20 minutes to receive my order even though it was pretty much empty, so be prepared to wait. But I do know they are making it fresh back there! :) If I lived closer I'd be back for sure! read more

Went in and took a minute to see the menu on the wall. Ordered the second hottest sauce on the chicken sandwich. The order taker questioned my choice saying it was very hot. ( not appreciated ). You can get a sandwich, tenders, or a wrap (which means protein style meaning no bun just lettuce wrapped). I ordered a chicken sandwich -spicy level- and it was huge! Everything was so good from the tomato's to the chicken like as if it was fresh from the farm or something. I wish they had pickles since it's just tomato and mayo in the sandwich but it all goes well to be honest. Simple and delicious. I also ordered a side of fries which was a good portion as well. Also got the chicken wrap which I thought would be like wrapped in a tortilla but it was just wrapped in lettuce and tbh I prefer it better than the actual sandwich with the bread since I got so full from the bread sandwich fast.
