Food is generally pretty good, though the fish is ALWAYS overcooked. On the other hand, the service is abysmal. Rude, impatient, and careless. There are a couple of employees that typically work the drive through that are awful. If you work in customer service, eye rolls should not be a part of your language. I do want to point out the young man that generally works in the dining room during the day on weekdays - he may be a manager. He's always cool, polite, and attentive. I placed a very large order online.....my husband was there to pick up but it took a long time for them to let him have the order because I am the one who placed it and paid for it. Then the kid working the order was completely confused and at first wanted to give my husband ONLY the gallon of ice tea....after $100 plus order??? Then we ended up without a family sized cole slaw, mashed potatoes, gravy, and (2) 5 packs of Jalepino ranch sauces. Or any cutlery...we had enough food to feed an army with no napkins or even forks! My husband went back and I put all the other food THAT WAS CORRECT in the oven, waiting until we could all eat. When he went back, they forgot the mashed potatoes. This has to be the nastiest Chicken Express in Arlington TX. The night crew is gross. The food they try shoving out the drive thru window is cold. When you report that the food is cold, the nasty drive thru cashier used her unwashed bare hands she just handled money with to touch the food to test the temperature and then attempt to re-serve the same cold food. The nasty night manager attempted to make an excuse for her actions by throwing an extra chicken tender in the box until he realized I was watching his actions. Stay away from this location. You may drive away with Hepatitis A after eating from this nasty location! read more

I'm giving this location three stars because I'm being kind. At my recent visit the wait was ridiculous, the speaker system was horrible, in the service in general was spotty. A pet peeve of mine at a drive-through is definitely to give the customers their drinks first, so if they're waiting in the drive thru at least they won't be thirsty. I felt like all of our food was made fresh and it was definitely delicious, the wait time was just ridiculous. Two cars behind my car actually left the drive thru and honestly I don't know where they went. The Saving Grace for this location however, was the young man in the drive thru who very polite and politeness goes a long way. I think I hold drive thru restaurants to a high standard because my first job was at a drive-thru. I feel like if I can be sweet and kind and considerate, anyone can extend that courtesy. I have never been treated so poorly! I waited (after paying) for 11 minutes! No one spoke to me, no one looked at me, no explanation, cars lined up around the building... Normally a go to spot for me to get a great chicken. But this particular evening during the middle of the dinner rush it was a 20 min wait for what i was wanting. Dark meat chicken(drumsticks and thighs). And running low on breast. This is definitely a dumb complaint but when a totally busy time of business is overlooked it is frustrating. The guy at the register had an attitude for some reason. He was short and grumpy with us, and didn't acknowledge our request for fresh fries to which we were given mildly warm old fries. If I could give 0 stars I would. I was just at this chicken express and only wanted a #2 with fries and a tea.. but I was charged for that as well as fried okra and hush puppies which I don't even like AND a extra large tea and a extra biscuit. I should've checked before I left bc they have done this to me before at this location but I don't often check bc it should be right when I leave. I've worked fast food before so this is very frustrating bc it's not hard - customers may be difficult from time to time but the job itself is not hard. And I can't even excuse it by saying they were busy it was me and one other car in the drive through an no one was inside. I've tried calling and no answer they even turned the phones off early I'm assuming bc they were tired of me calling. I just would like my money back that I was over charged for and I can't seem to get ahold of anyone. Since I work close to this location and really like chicken I go here at least once a week. The place is always clean and the staff is extremely friendly. They take the time to really get to know their regular customers. They often start preparing the order before I even get in the door because they know what I want. The food is always fresh and hot. They never touch the food with bare hands and I have watched and if they do any thing else other than serve food they stop and wash their hands good before going back to serving food. The staff all work very well together to be sure the customer is properly taken care of. I have been going to this location for 10 years and am very please with the food, the service and the cleanliness of the store. There are many choices of food in the area but this Chicken Express is my favorite place to go. read more

Went thru the drive thru and ordered a #1 and #2 with a lemonade. They only gave me 5 pieces in it was suppose to be 7 pieces. The lemonade was terrible and watered down, I had to mix a flavor pack just to get some flavor. I went in for lunch it wasn't very busy however, the staff were pre occupied with a call in order which seemed to be much more important than my order which was thrown together once brought to the table I noticed macaroni running over the side of the cup, and my rish was cold and hard.... I went to the counter to make them aware that I was dissatisfied I was told to wait while the manager ran outside to talk to him mother. Great, Customer Service right?! I patiently waited... Once the manager came back he told me it would be 12 minuted before more fish was ready... well, considering I'm on a time crunch I did not have the time to with much hesitation and a an attempt to offer me chicken tenders. Years ago when this location opened I was excited to know that we had a CE so close to home. Over the last few years this location has gone down hill and in my opinion this location is by far the worst Chicken Express I have ever been to. Out of the last 5 or 6 times we have ordered from them they have yet to get an order correct. My orders are always missing something. Last night was no exception... two orders of tenders and in one of the boxes they "forgot" to add the gravy. It isn't like it was requested special, they put one in every box of tenders. This is just one of many mistakes they have continued to make. This location is run by a bunch of kids, I am not saying their bad kids. I just saying with lack of proper supervision the investment of the franchise owner is not being taken care of. I can only hope that management can do something about this place before it gets any worse. I will not be spending my money at this store again! read more
